The nurse was very pleasant and made me feel at ease. Upon meeting Dr. Vande Berg, he was very nice, had a good "bed side" demeanor and took the time to educated me on everything that was going on inside my teeth and what problems the teeth were causing. He also explained the entire surgery and what to expect after. Upon arriving for my surgery, I was nervous but he and his nurse walked me through the entire experience and even made me laugh to help relax me. This office is extremely thorough and I will continue to return if needed due to having such a great and positive experience there. I would recommend anyone who needs oral surgery to go to this office. As a bonus, the front office was very helpful in processing my insurance.

Dr Englehardt did a good job excising a large wisdom tooth, in a delicate spot near sinuses, with no problems or side effects to report a week after the procedure. I had general, not local anesthesia. You will want to prepare for that decision and know what anesthesia and pain medicine you prefer. The one slight negative was on the day of the procedure, we had to go through that decision all that again. The combination of versed and propopil(?) worked well for me the 15 minutes I was "out"- virtually no down time recovering. I did not want fentanyl because of all the bad press about that. The staff was courteous and got the details right, except for the one encounter on day-of in the Garner office where they asked again about anesthesia, like nothing had been decided before. It took a lot of skill to get out a delicately placed wisdom tooth and Dr Engelhardt and his assistant seem to have done an *excellent* job.

There are some good office staff also. I went to Royal Oak Dental yesterday to have a temporary crown removed and a new crown put in place. The person that was to remove the temp crown started working on me but it was painful and I didn't know what to expect . This person was tugging at pullng the temp crown off pulled back with the instrument she was using and cut my lip she was not aware she did that until she saw the blood. I didn't have trust in her after that. Treat a patient like a person not a machine. I eventually had a numbing agent . Dr Smith is very clever and I believe he is good at what he does. He finally came along and gave me a perfunctory one liner that could infer I was responsible for this injury. He did what he had to do with the crown and stated he would come back when I had numerous xrays. Dr Smith never came back he must have got too busy.

I am not a novice when it comes to visiting dentists or oral surgeons; so I can spot a good one when I see one. Dr. Stutts falls in the GREAT category. I needed a front tooth pulled, a bone graft and an implant placed. Impressed with his professionalism, I also brought my two teenagers into his office to have their wisdom teeth extracted.
