This place is a hidden gem! They have a great curation of wine, beer, and spices but they are also set up for enjoying your beverages there! We recently went with some friends for wine and cheese. They brought out a nice plate of cheese, olives and such. The owner was very sweet. The intimate setting was great fir drinking wine and beer with friends before heading to dinner. Plus they let you mix and match 6 packs of specialty beers to go. I'll definitely be back!

    Love this place.

I love this place. I bought spaghetti seasonings, loose tea, truffles and some French bread that was sent in from French Pantry. I absolutely love this store. I live the area as well. The only hard thing is finding a parking spot. Just be patient and don't give up. It's worth the wait. The Owner took me on a tour of the place. So many wonderful spices and things to buy. Happy shopping!

My favorite store and small business as of late. Love the wine, cheese, PICKLES, spices etc. More than anything I love the customer service and how Anna and Bronwyn treat their customers like family. Great prices too!

RE-OPENED under new ownership. Still great customer service and Martha kept her doors open a little longer after 4pm on Sunday so I could get my Ceylon Cinnamon (True Cinnamon) for the week. Great prices for excellent herbs & spices! Love this place!

    This salt is fantastic!

I ordered the Short Rib Hash Bowl without tomatoes. My only critique was that I could've used a little more short rib and a little less potatoes but I liked everything else about it. The onions brought a sweetness to it that was really unique and I REALLY liked the seasoning that was on the huge pieces of toast with it. My wife had the Breakfast Burrito, which I could've called from before we even walked in. If a place had a breakfast burrito, she's gonna order it. This one was great. There was a lot of good flavor packed into that tortilla. She especially liked the chili sauce on top. It had a little kick that elevated the whole thing. We both liked the environment and our server was very nice. We would come back for sure to try other things or just to hang out at the big outdoor bar at the front.

We went this past Friday and while they had the same great food (with one exception), same decor and vibe, it seemed as if the typically impeccable service was staring to slip. The staff was in a great mood, seemed to be having a party and maybe that was some of the issue. Drinks not filled, food brought out a different points when we asked for it to be brought together etc. One of the guests requested their sauce on the side and it came right on top of her cold steak. We had to constantly grab anyone who worked there to get help and get served or drink refills. Very atypical of Prospect. I'm reviewing again to be constructive. I still love Prospect and I need them to be the excellent experience they have always been. I'm truly hoping this was a one off afternoon.

The ambiance is so pretty and was a quiet slow dinner that we enjoyed. All of the food was delicious and tasted fresh. Finally an Italian restaurant serving Fra Diavolo and I don't need to ask for red pepper. It was actually spicy but in the best way, flavor max! My Teen enjoyed gnocchi and I also had a spinach salad with a housemade dressing that didn't get a pic. Dessert and coffee topped the meal off perfectly. Now I'm still on the hunt for a match to Venieros butter cookie with a chocolate drop but this restaurant will ease my homesick feeling for NY Italian food for a while. Thanks George! See you soon.

The inside is nothing fancy (which is fine). The chef‑owners who are James Beard finalists, which naturally raises expectations. However, after multiple visits, the overall experience has not matched the level of hype surrounding the restaurant. Portion sizes relative to pricing remain the primary concern, making the value feel uneven despite the appealing setting. I work in the area and have gone with several office mates. We've tried several dishes and sandwiches but still can't understand the extreme hype. I was told the Chorizo was spicy and it was so bland I felt like I was eating Hilshire Farms kielbasa. Pros: * Outdoor Dining - Pleasant outdoor dining area that provides a comfortable place to relax * Service - Consistently friendly service and a casual neighborhood feel * Variety - Menu crafted by highly regarded chef‑owners with strong culinary credentials * Location - Murray Hill location for a laid‑back meal or meet‑up * The best dish on the menu has been the pork sandwich - which is half a sub roll and plantain chips Cons: * Pricing - Pricing feels high for the portion sizes (e.g., three chicken legs at $23) * Expectations - Overall experience does not fully align with the restaurant's reputation * Some dishes feel more modest than expected given the cost Chancho King is a great place to unwind in the neighborhood, but the pricing-to-portion balance left me wanting more.

She made sure to check up on us, answered all of our questions, and refilled our drinks often. It was super clean there too! We were started off with some fresh, warm bread and a balsamic/olive oil dipping sauce. The bread was perfectly crispy and went so well with the dipping sauce. We were served cold bread before at restaurant so I'm glad we had warm bread! We decided on the following appetizer and entrees: Fried meat ravioli - 8/10: it came out piping hot and it was so delicious! Fried to a nice, golden brown and covered in panko crumbs, it didn't feel heavy at all. It came with a fresh marinara sauce and had parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of the fried ravioli. Each bite was cheesy, crispy, tasty, meaty, and we devoured it quickly! Carbonara Alla Roma - 8.5/10: I thought the portion would be small since I seen photos online but it was actually a great portion. I had enough to take home and eat as leftovers! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the alfredo sauce was balanced and decadent. I could taste the pecorino romano, and cracked black pepper. The pancetta was smoky and added a nice umami flavor to the pasta. I didn't rate it higher because it was slightly missing a little bit of of that BAM factor! but it was pretty delicious! The Sofi - chicken - 9/10: Oh my gosh! My best friend got this and I wished I would have too! It was sooooooooooooooooooo good! It had prosciutto di parma, mushrooms, asparagus, shallots, cooked in wine and tossed in a rose cream sauce. The pasta was also cooked perfectly and that sauce was to die for! Each bite was like tasting the finest flavors and spices of Italy. I could not believe how tasty this was! If you come here, you HAVE to try this dish! Tiramisu - 9.5/10: One of the best tiramisus we've had in Jacksonville. It was the perfect amount of espresso and cream. They had dollops of chocolate sauce on the side and helped elevated the flavor of the tiramisu. It also wasn't super sweet which we appreciate. We don't really like overly sweet desserts and this one hits the mark on everything. Overall, service, food, and atmosphere was great! We would definitely come back to try other menu items! Thank you for such a great first experience, Sofi's!
