My mother and I visited here as one of our first stop when arriving on Bainbridge Island recently, and we loved sauntering through and viewing all the crafts and art pieces made by local artisans. I especially enjoyed finding some pieces by an artist named Peter Koronakos, for example, who creates "oddball animals" assemblage pieces - my favorite on display being the "Squirrel with Hand Grenade". There was also a lovely Pileated Woodpecker carved piece by a Seattle-based artist named Mike Zitka (who, after I just Googled him, apparently has a feature collection currently going at KOBO Seattle - who knew!). Just some examples of the fantastic work available in this gallery. There's also a special section of the gallery that has for sale specific art and design books that the purchase of will support new material for the Bainbridge Public Library. How can you not love that?! All in all, it's a great, little gallery that I loved being able to support. Definitely stop by if you're in the area and show this local gallery - and the artisans that show their work here - some support. They deserve it. :)

They must have been terribly behind in order to completely disregard their customers like that. Super bizarre. I found a nice ensemble I wanted to purchase after combing the store and finally had to use the restroom. There are large signs that say "restroom", pointing down a corridor. After traveling all the way down the corridor, the door was locked, with a sign that said to see an associate. I walk back towards the store from the corridor and see the mistake . . . There indeed were signs in the hallway that specified a code was needed, but in a small font, shadowed by the huge restroom font with arrows. After the parking, getting ran Into multiple times by employees, walking down a long corridor to poop, just to have it locked with small signage, I left my products and walked immediately out of the door. I probably wont visit for a couple years so that they can terminate, retrain, resign, etc. If you like associates completely disrespecting you and running into you, this is your store!

We live out in the boonies, and stop by when we're in silverdale for something, most of the time I can walk out with something I've been looking at new, for very condition here and cheap. I went one time for their red tag sale, the shelves loaded with junk, nothing good had red tags, that was probably the only time I walked out with absolutely nothing, so I think that's telling. They also sell stainless steel pots, USED, for $25. That's robbery. I can get a brand new stainless steel pot at the TJ MAXX close by, in fact, I did after leaving here. AND it had a lid, which you can't get a solid pair here. Everything's super overpriced in general but I do have to say they have a lot of stuff, good stuff, stuff you can't find at the local goodwill in our small town, so that's why we come back. The employees are nice, never had a real problem besides the greed.

We attended a multi-generational gathering, over three days, and everything from the property, to the buildings/rooms, to the staff and food were excellent. The parking ample, the amenities sparse but completely satisfactory. We were most impressed by the young staff - in the dining hall and the grounds/facilities keepers - were so smiley, friendly, warm and seemed happy to be of service. We truly loved our first visit and stay and look forward to more opportunities to be at Seabeck Conference Center again.

Of the three swings at the main play area, one was broken. There was a single half-court basketball court. The lone tetherball pole was broken. There was a badminton court but no racquets. The food service was woefully inadequate. We had a vegetarian option, selected and paid for in advance. On day two dinner, they served us a tiny portion, perhaps 300 calories. Breakfast the third day the kitchen staff told us they were out of vegetarian food and it wouldn't be replenished that day. There was no manager of expo in the dining room at any time. Indeed, I never saw a manager or anyone besides kitchen serving staff at all during the whole weekend. The facility said no snacks were allowed for the family camp, but there were no snacks available on site at all during the weekend, a very odd omission for a family focused camp. It was an incredibly disappointing trip. The accommodations were very dated and dusty but reasonably clean. The value for the dollar was very poor. It was twice as expensive as Camp Orkila, but aside from 1960s era motel accommodation, it was inferior in every way.

However, I have some serious reservations about their handling of money and their customer service. I sent them a large donation a couple of months ago. Over a month later, it still had not been cashed. I called and no one answered so I had to leave a message. I left the message with their Finance and Operations Manager. I waited a week and still hadn't received a reply. I decided to put a stop on the check. Now, over a month after I left the message, still no reply. You would think a nonprofit would reply and try to get to the bottom of the problem if they were told a multi-thousand dollar check was sent to them and hadn't been cashed.

By my rating, you probably can skip the story. But if you're interested, read on…read more I had 2 external hard drives in distress. One failed without notice with years of photos and the other, a Time Machine backup for my Mac was clicking, with delayed mounting. It wasn't dead yet but I'd not touched it since I unplugged it over a year ago, didn't know the current status, and was afraid to boot it up in case it loaded but might be its last time. The sudden death one was critical, the other not so much (unless I had backed up the other drive during the daily backup)! I dropped them off to Kurt with 2 new drives for transfer and instructions to ignore the one unless the critical one was useless and left town for a week. I returned with hope, concerned but not stressing bc I try not to stress until I know it's bad. But let me tell you, losing 25 years of photos to a scrapbooker is unfathomable. The photo drive was 100% toast unless I send it off ($3k-$10k?). The HD DID have the photo-video drive backed up. (Whew)! To recap: Kurt understood my issues and what to focus on. He gave me an idea of cost/time. He was successful in recovering my data and saving it to my new supplied drives. The bill was very reasonable. Plus, he's a nice guy to work with! I hope I never have this issue again, but I can recommend who to call. Check out Kurt's range of IT services!!!
