Proshred came our to my home office to shred several boxes of sensitive documents. Before they came and even knew how much was to be shred, I was required to provide a credit card that would be billed later. The driver filled one 96 gallon can, then about 1/4 of a second can. Still, I was charged for 2 "tips" no matter how little was in the second can or "tip". Five months later I'm called by Proshred, wanting to know if the invoice was paid. They apparently neglected make the charge 5 months earlier and wanted me to search my records to confirm. After spending 1/2 hour researching, it was clear to me that it hadn't been paid. I asked Proshred if they would come by when next in the neighborhood, I would have a check for the driver, and maybe they could take the handful of documents I had accumulated in 5 months as an acknowledgment of my time and cooperation. Natalie, the owner, who is very pleasant when things are going her way, was inflexible, condescending, and remarkably unprofessional in her refusal. I had about 6 boxes of sensitive paperwork that needed to be shredded. I went online to look at shredders. I was considering doing my own shredding and that would have taken about 8 hours. I looked at shredding companies, and I called several, but the only company that answered the phone was ProShred. They had excellent reviews and they were professional on the phone, so I gave them a call. I drove from Seattle to Tukwila and they did my shredding for about the same price as a cheap shredder would have cost. I cannot believe how flawless and secure the shredding was with ProShred. Five stars all the way! The owner Natalie is a game changer. She went above and beyond when it came to meeting my shredding needs. She was excellent on the phone and made sure I had everything I needed. The shred truck driver she sent (I think his name was Michael), was very fit and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Sometimes delivery guys are lazy and do bare minimum work, but not Natalie's team. I'm not sure where she found this one, but good on ya! I would recommend PROSHRED Seattle to EVERYONE. First time scheduling onsite shredding cleaning out my parents's house. Didn't know what to expect but ProShred was great. They were very clear in their pricing and how they charge by 96 gallon bin (1 bin = 1 tip). No charge for mileage or other additional charges. Simeon and Alvin were great. They were scheduled to come between 11-1. They called to let me know they were behind schedule and would call me when they were on the way. Once they arrived they came in, filled the bin and took it outside. Whole process took 10 minutes! I will definitely call them again when cleaning out my house and disposing of sensitive documents. We used to use another shredding company each year for our purges. I think last year or 2 they were bought out and their customer service just went downhill. Everything became automated you never got someone local and scheduling was a mess. We had a bad experience with that other Company last year so this year I looked for another option and found ProShred. I am so glad I did! I wasn't even able to use PROSHRED services, and they still get 5 stars! I went through the arduous task of getting bids for my project, and then was halted by building management. They will not allow on site shredding. Natalie was a pleasure to work with during the process. I encountered dismissive account executives at other companies. I know good customer service. My job is customer service. If you aren't engaging your client and anticipating their needs, you are asleep at the wheel. We shopped around to try and find the best option for our medical office needing 70+ boxes of patient files shredded and were so pleased to have found Pro-Shred. I recently called Natalie for a quote to come to my house to shred onsite. She was such a pleasure to deal with and very pleasant. She was very thorough in explaining the process as well as the pricing and scheduling. I called her back a few days later and scheduled, as well as finding out we have a lot in common and had a great conversation. The best thing about Pro Shred is their customer service, it is the absolute best I have encountered of late. As I told her I had recently retired from the largest home builder in America in the management end of customer service and was astounded at how well she delivered, and that you can teach a monkey to do just about anything, but you can't teach true customer service, it is a trait that you either have or don't. Can't say enough good things about this company. Used them last week to shred a box full of personal documents. They're very friendly and responsive. Reasonable prices. I actually dropped off the box at their location in Tukwila. Was pretty stressed and tired that day as I was preparing for a cross-country move and forgot my credit card on the counter after I paid. Didn't even realize this until the ProShred employee (unfortunately don't remember her name) called me to let me know she found my CC. She then drove to my hotel in downtown Seattle (I had already moved out of my apt) and dropped it off at the front desk!! Now *that* is customer service! read more

We have used another shredding company for years to do our purge shred. We have on average of 120 to 150 banker boxes. I called them and received someone in Chicago that was trying to schedule a shred in Federal Way, Washington. The price I was given had doubled since the last time I used that company. They now charge by the box........way too expensive. I called PROSHRED and they were able to schedule within the week and less than half the price. Ed was our driver, he was very courteous and easy to work with. Had the job done in no time.........definitely will use PROSHRED again and again. read more

Several high notes- they charged roughly 4$ per box, which is $2-$5 cheaper than the other 6 shredding services we called. They dumped the boxes into giant recycling containers, so we got to keep the actual bankers boxes we used (and they didn't require them to have lids). The shredding was done on-site, so we could actually see the recycling containers dump our stuff into a big box truck shredder. They were available for same-day service at no cost, which was very unique based on the half dozen companies we called. They are local, which is also a big deal for our company. We shred around 100-120 boxes every 2 years, and they will be the only ones we go it. read more

I had about 5 boxes of household shredding to be done. Super friendly and responsive service; they took a rolling bin right to my vehicle to load the paper. Since I arrived at the end of the business day, the documents were locked in the bin and held for destruction the next day. The certificate of destruction was received promptly by email. Proshred is horrible! I set up an appt with them to purge our office docs, and told them time and time again that they will have to come in and get the docs and take them to the shredder. Once they got here, they didn't understand where to park then, they had to call to get OK to park where we told them to and then tried to charge an extra $30 per bin for the extra space that they had to get the boxes from to the truck even though I told them they had to get the boxes themselves, they said they didn't know and for parking in a different spot. Like really? We told them no and to leave. read more
