Recently got locked out because my door jammed by itself, for some odd and shitty reason. My superintendent at the building wasn't able to fix it, so I had to call my own lock service company. The absolutely, great thing about All Service Lock & Security is that they charged me $0 for coming out to take a look at my lock. Now, I will qualify that they were only a few blocks away from my house, but everyone else I called, even the relatively close ones, charged like $60 just to come out and take a look! That means if I had chosen to go without their services, I would have been down $60 for zero work done. All service lock & Security arrived quickly, replaced my cylinder in under an hour, and did a very good job on the whole. You don't have to pay right away because they give you an invoice, which made this process even easier because I was able to send a copy first to my building management. I would highly recommend them, especially if you're in the neighborhood. The entire price to open the lock and replace the cylinder cost my $280. I suppose it could have been cheaper, but I'm not familiar with prices in the city, so I can't say for sure. read more

Why don't you have a 10 star-rating? Terry is fa-bu-lous-!! My sister's housekeeper locked herself out from the apartment in Chelsea. The only set of keys we had is the one I gave her this morning -- My sister is on vacation... so, ouch! I called Terry and his lovely wife, Doris, came to the rescue. We got hold of Terry and he rushed to Chelsea and opened the door for $70.00 - yes, $70.00, not $200.00! I was expecting him to come and get the cash at my office a few streets away from my sister's apartment... About 1 h after my call, Terry called me to tell me that he had opened the door for housekeeper. I thought he was outside my office, but he was on his way back to his store... He told me that he would send me an invoice, not to worry! Unbelievable! So I just sent him the money -- What a wonderful man. His wife is lovely too! I'm stunned! Who said New Yorkers were NOT nice? Thank you, Terry and Doris.... read more

I walked in a little before 9am on a Wednesday morning and needed to have 2 keys made. The entrance is a little hidden on the basement of the street view, but not too bad. They were both pretty standard keys and the guy behind the counter was quick, friendly and had them done within 5 minutes. Cash is king here, but the 2 keys cost just a shade over $6 which I thought was very fair. Definitely recommend. read more

I needed a few keys made. This was close for me so I popped by and they were quick and friendly. I'd definitely go back. read more

All Service Lock & Security - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

This place is great. Owned and run by a couple I believe. I've been in twice and dealt with both husband and wife and they're both super friendly. I will never go anywhere else to get keys cut as long as I live around here. Keys run about $2ea depending on the key. They just cut 5 keys for me in about 5 minutes. Only thing you gotta know is its cash only so have a few bills on you when you come in. Otherwise there's a chase about 50 yards away. read more

I've been a loyal customer since I moved to the neighborhood in 2010 and now that I still work around here, it's my go to spot! Great for copying keys - no complaints Standard keys are $2.25 a piece, including tax. Store open 10:30pm-5:00pm Monday to Fridays. CASH only! read more

These guys are so great! Fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Have to go down some stairs to find them so I walked past it three times but glad I found em. read more

Simply the best service. Got my keys in no time at all. Terry was super nice. Would recommend them to anyone that needs a locksmith.

Super fast and cheap service, great job! It took few minutes to make a copy of my key, new one fits the same as original one. The only thing you should know -- there no credit cards accepted, cash only. read more

Hidden little store that is on the lower level of building 226 E 53rd St. Proprietor is an incredibly nice man who was able to copy my keys in less than two minutes. Looking around the very small shop, I realized he probably did not take credit cards. When I told him I didn't have enough cash on me, he said, "Oh, well you're in the neighborhood so don't worry, next time you pass by just pay me then. No need to make a special trip to the ATM for this!" That's not something I, as a lifelong NYer, am used to hearing. Definitely would go back for my locksmith/key needs! read more

I just walked into the shop and they solved the problem I was having with my lock. great service and good price.

Personable owners and very quick to create the 8 sets of keys I needed. The keys were all different sizes, but they had all the materials needed on hand. I was in and out of the store within 15 minutes. Don't forget to bring cash since it's cash only...highly recommend. read more

Fast, friendly, and efficient! Very pleasant staff who worked quickly to make a new set of keys when my husband lost his. I hope not to need to replace my keys again but if I do I will be coming back here and recommending to others! A++ read more

I came here based on other reviews so I figured I'd pay it forward and leave one myself. Super quick, very pleasant experience. Needed 2 standard keys copied, and I picked up a plastic topper and key tag as well for $5 total. Very reasonable; I've paid more for the same thing both in Queens and on Long Island. Keys worked perfectly. I was in and out in probably about 5 minutes or less. Cash only as others have mentioned, but there's a sign as soon as you walk in as well. Would definitely return. read more

The lady in the store was super nice, she made a key copy in 3 minutes for $2.45 (cash only). The key is also guaranteed, in case you have problems. Recommended!! read more

I got a couple of keys made here the other day. Good customer service and the keys work well. Reasonable prices and overall good vibe.

Eli was fantastic! He was kind and patient with my key issue. Highly recommend! Will be going back if I need anything further :)

This place is absolutely adorable! An older married couple owns it and they were so friendly. Copied keys super quick! Definitely will go back! read more

This is a great shop. I've gone to them multiple times to copy keys and they always work the first time. The owner also offers to re-do them for free if they don't work to your satisfaction. Copying a standard key takes a couple minutes. Once I needed a high security key copied, which required the locksmith. He wasn't in at the time so I dropped the key off, and they were done within the hour. Cash Only! read more

Great service, friendly staff. Call before you come though -- I tried earlier and they weren't there even during business hours (around 10:30am). No credit cards. read more

Amazing, amazing service. So affordable, quick and easy! I can't believe I wasted my time with Home Depot when I first moved to Manhattan, they are so much better and I'll be using them again in the future! read more

I was looking for a lock service to get 2 keys duplicated, and this was the closest one to my apartment that also got good reviews. It lived up to expectations. Fast and friendly service and decently priced. As other yelpers said, it's a little hidden in that you have to walk down stairs to get to it, which prompted me to write this review to help them out. read more

They were fantastic! I had terrifically bad experiences recently getting keys copied at the two other places in the neighborhood, so was thrilled to discover this place. The prices were reasonable, the service fast, and I was advised that their business name was stamped into each key, so to feel free to bring back any key that was problematic. Only one out of six was problematic. They re-cut that key, plus gave me an extra, newly-cut key, explaining what the issue was. I was enthralled that someone could be so attentive to notice and explain which groove wasn't cut high enough! I wish I had known of them years ago. I can't praise them highly enough. read more

Quick and easy, no hassel. Wish the lock smith's in my neighborhood were as efficient.

Fantastic service, Assir was here in a half hour, worked fast and clean and was extremely pleasant and nice. Reasonable prices. Definitely keeping this info and hoping I won't need it for the future! read more

Excellent fast service - 4 keys cut in only a few minutes - total bill $8.50 - all the keys work perfectly - what more could you want!

This place reminds me of old-school NY, a really weird but great feeling in this neighborhood. It's below-grade down some stairs and the signage isn't great, but don't worry, service is fantastic and the keys work. They're also guaranteed, which makes me happy. The woman behind the counter was friendly and humored my potentially-annoying questions and chatter while she worked. read more

I had a key made by another locksmith and it didn't fit the lock. I read their reviews on Yelp, saw they were close to my office and decided to try All Service. They were great! educated me on the fact that the key I was asking to be copied was a fairly rare key and they knew it well. Both husband and wife were knowlegable and helpful. They even said that the key was guaranteed to work! An excellent experience at a very fair price. read more

Very nice mom and pop shop that are quick to help get you what you need. They told me one of my keys couldn't be copied and the other they finished in about one minute all for about 2 bucks. Quick and reasonable! read more

This is indeed one of the gems of NY. It is located in the basement of 226 E. 53rd, but Terry and the woman who works with him are the nicest people you will meet, lock business or not. I had some keys made but we talked about locks and doors for as long as it took. I will go nowhere else in the future. read more
