Beautiful sunrise AND sunset views! There's a small number of spots, large and nicely spaced out, no cramming in together here, easy to get in and out and pull through. My site went slightly uphill but I didn't have a problem getting my trailer level. I drove by the RV park a few miles away in Grangeville and they look packed in like sardines, which made me really happy I chose this one. New infrastructure (nice water and electric hookups), fire rings and clean high quality picnic tables. If you don't mind dumping your tanks at the free spot a couple of blocks away, then this park is a great choice. I used the private shower house and the shower felt like a luxury compared to my RV one. The water softener made my hair softer than it's been in a long time! There are even towels and guest soaps. Two towns are nearby with services. My cell signal worked perfectly and so did the wifi. What makes this place special is the "real people" owners. They clearly go out of their way to make sure you get everything you expected and then some. They run their park the way I would if I owned one - with generosity and kindness. They were also very accommodating when some tent campers showed up on short notice to camp with our group. The prices are excellent and it's very affordable to stay for longer periods of time. There aren't a bunch of amenities and activities, but I'm not the kind of camper who cares about that kind of stuff. I'll take beautiful, peaceful and spacious any day. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely stay here.

The whole property is very well maintained. Each RV site is spaced out comfortably from eachother. Free WiFi was included along with a picknick table, firepit & wood, water & electric. Conveniently located very close to an RV dump station, grocerie stores and not to mention the Salmon river is only about a 30 minute drive away. Plus my cousin and her family. with 4 kids under 12 Gary made it interesting for them...stopping by "Ruby beach" to look for red stones, and Interesting for the two teachers on board with historical facts on Indians, the river, settlers, and geology. He was a walking encyclopedia and I am glad we booked with him. I recommend his rafting tours to any family wanting a break from reality and a fun and educational time on the lake. His 35 years of experience was evident and I'd definitely book him again for another tour. we are hoping to do an overnight on the River with him one day.

They were able to squeeze us in last min for a half day white water rafting trip. Everyone who works there was super friendly and went out of their way to introduce themselves to us. After a short ride on the "cool bus" and and a little safety talk, we were on our way. Our guide Chris was super cool and knowledgeable about the area. In between rapids and one liner dad jokes he told us about the different cliffs and other stuff on the river. Overall it was an amazing day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Highly recommend this place for all your salmon river needs!!

We've done two half-day trips with H2O over the past two summers -- the first in June of 2018 and…read morethe second just yesterday. Found the company through Groupon, and had a great time the first time so we came back with a group of five adults and five kids. Catfish was the guide both years for the "grown up's" raft, and Taylor was the guide for the kids. Our guides were great -- Catfish took us through the most exciting parts of the rapids, and was very knowledgeable about the river. Taylor was careful with the kids (didn't take them through the most hairy water) and was very nice, letting the kids take turns controlling the raft during calm spots. The water was a lot better in July than in June, and the half day trip took a little less than three hours. The rapids were fantastic -- some of the best we've encountered in Idaho. The guides had dry bags for our phones and keys, and coolers with drinks. We'll use H20 again and will try to book a whole-day trip next time. A great experience with great guides.

Four days after take-out from the Snake River, Idaho/Oregon, I am still smiling. Yes, the…read morewilderness of Hells Canyon and the river is stunning in its beauty, but this three-day trip was perfect in every way because of our top-notch tour guide, idahoafloat Dave (owner-operator) and his guides Austin and Sam are professional and knowledgeable - with safety, comfort, and enjoyment of their guests top priorities. The day before putting in, Dave stopped by the motel where we were staying to give us an orientation and give us waterproof bags to pack before morning. He showed up promptly the next day to take us to the dam to get started. Meanwhile, Kate back at the office was a key member of the team, reaching out to me to ensure my dietary restrictions were accommodated in the menus for the trip. Dave and his guides were on top of the river conditions, stopping to scout the more challenging rapids and smoothly navigating all of them. Coffee and breakfast was ready to go when we came out of our tents (and the coffee was better than I expected on a camping trip). Every meal was very good and balanced - Dave and team went out of their way to ensure our satisfaction. Near the end of our trip, a couple guests strayed away and the guides went on their way to make sure everything was ok. Our group of 16 adventurous women experienced the thrill of Class III and IV rapids while surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. We were accompanied by five exceptional young men who were the epitome of true gentlemen. They took amazing care of us every step of the way--preparing five-star breakfasts, lunches, and dinners complete with appetizers and delicious desserts, setting up our tents, sharing fascinating history about the river, and, most importantly, keeping us safe on the water. Their professionalism, kindness, and hard work made the trip even more memorable. Each day brought incredible wildlife sightings, including bald eagles soaring overhead, ospreys, an otter, great blue herons, merganssers, and bighorn sheep. My expectations for the weekend were blown out of the water (literally) in the first ten minutes on the jet boat ride. I don't think we stopped smiling for 3 days. I can't imagine a more beautiful setting for a wedding if rivers and mountains hold a piece of your heart. The staff was incredibly fun and accommodating. Dax is the cutest 6 year old host you'll ever meet and I felt almost no stress before the wedding because I knew Joni had everything under control. If you want a wild jet boat ride, jump on Bucks boat ;) Mackay Bar is truly a hidden gem in Idaho. All of my friends and family are texting me that we forever ruined their expectation of a wedding. Sunset horseback rides, fishing, hiking and phenomenal food. I am forever grateful for our wedding weekend and Mackay Bar and we are plotting to get back there as soon as possible.

The park itself is pretty typical, with RV's lined up in adjacent spaces. We had grass, shade, a picnic table, hook-ups, and wifi (yay!), and chickens roamed around the park all day. How is this not a fun place? When we checked in, there was an envelope tacked to the office door with my name on it with all the check-in information. Gotta love a process that is intuitive and effective! They let us have an early check-out the next day, so we didn't have to pay for an extra night, which was super nice! When we go back, I will ask about spaces near the river. My friend and I sat down next to the river at an un-occupied RV space and watched the sunset and listened to the flowing water. Very nice. No, the place is not perfect, and might feel a bit rough around the edges for some people, but it has that sort of "Riggins" feel, which fits my attitude nicely. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat if I needed a place to park my RV for a night.
