Based on other reviews, we chose this motel & we will most certainly be back but next time for a few days to explore the area, not just a one night passing thru visit. The grounds are immaculate with plenty of parking space for vehicles towing trailers or large motorcycle groups, it has a sturdy gravel topping, good for snow & dust free. They hold events here sometimes so they have a large patio area with a stage, firepit & "Roadhouse Bar", see pic. There are chickens roaming the motel area, there were little chicks while we were there. The owner, Scott, & his wife, are extremely friendly & they have owned this property for 18 years so they are a wealth of knowledge. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated & are roomy & extremely clean! Each room has a table & chair set inside & outside. We were welcomed, upon check-in, with a choice of fresh iced tea, or a beer, several brands & a cookie. Lastly, it is a very walkable little town & there are restaurants & stores within walking distance & a beautiful park across the street. We really enjoyed our stay!

Our first stop of the day was the Stage Stop for an early lunch prior to our reservation time at Burgdorf. We enjoyed the people and atmosphere at the Stage Stop so much we went back for a second round after our soak!

This is a find that I am hesitant to post as it will become a favorite of any "Glamper" and RV enthusiast for it's obvious offerings. To begin with, it is a heck of a drive as this place is located off the US 95 Route near Baker Gultch on the Salmon River in White Bird, Idaho. Not especially on a "destination" list but definately worth the trip. We only stayed one night as it was time to head back home from our long trip but will be back. The cabin was spotless, staff consisted of a manager and a very sweet gal and her two awesome little boys and an incredbly handsome german shepherd named Vox. We showed up with some big drops of water from the sky bringing down a combination of ashes from the fires out west and smoke which had been hazing the landscape for the past 50 miles or so. The evening was incredibly peaceful and in the morning I went to explore the beach and river access. Bring some floaties or a kyack/canoe or fishing pole. The gentleman at the edge of the water fishing said you can catch a bass from his spot! There are also River Tours down the road and all kinds of activities. We only took part in the peacefulness part. Beds were comfortable, bedding clean and rooms well appointed. Small refridgerators, microwaves and sattellite tv. WiFi was also avaliable. I would love to come back here to enjoy some of the activities but it is a really long way from home. If we ever plan a trip that direction, it is definitely a spot I would love to stay.

There were plenty of drinks for everyone. Captain Eric and Cassidy were great. They played music during the ride at our request and were very helpful getting in and out of the boat. Captain Eric had years of experience driving that boat so we felt very safe. We saw deer, big horn sheep, eagles and a sturgeon. A very professional company and nice big boats with a roof to shade us.

She was screaming and I was desperately trying to lift this 400 pound machine off of my daughter while screaming for help. Thank god my 6 foot 4 brother in law ran and tip it up so we could pull her out. Her leg was bruised but thank god not broken. The guid's response? "Oh, that happens all the time. They're built to tip over." WHAT?? Stunned at her cavalier attitude I'm like, "so this is a normal experience on your trips? Do you think you should do anything differently so this doesn't happen?" She's like "I feel like you're attacking me - we did everything right." No, Perry, you didn't. The safety prep was so inadequate - you never told my daughter to keep her legs on the metal footrests (I didn't know to tell her!) nor did you explain how often they tip and what to do. And this is what haunts me - after we'd been riding 30 mins I HAPPENED TO ASK if I should pin the kill switch to my jumper. Court, the male guide (who was super kind) said "oh yeah! That's important so if you fall off the vehicle stops." Friends, had I not had that on, my daughter might not have her leg. What a different experience that would have been if they had adequate safety training. "Hey these tip a lot - so here is how to safely fall so you don't get pinned. Oh if someone tips other people need to rush and help them tip back up. And here's the kill switch you must attach to your person so the vehicle stops when you fall. And kids, keep your feet on the metal footrests because if you dangle your legs bellow them your leg will get pinned." I will say I spoke to guest relations and they were very kind. Just empathy - they still charged us the 1k for the trauma, but I did feel like they really listened and took my suggestion of giving the guides a physical checklist to go over like pilots do before flights. Like I totally get that mistakes happen, but own them. Do better next time. Care if your families have a good time or a terrible time.

We saw mountain goats and 2 bald eagle. Loved the history of Sheep Canyon and Kirkwood Ranch. Lunch was so yummy and such a scenic view Give yourself plenty of time to get there as it is quite remote and does take awhile to make the drive. Definitely do this if you can !

So, she was surfing the web and came across this. I am so glad she did! It took almost 3 hours to get there, but the scenery from Vale to the dam was well worth it. At first, I didn't want to spend that much money for a boat ride...but, I now think it is worth every penny and more! I had such a great time. Dusty was our guide (what do you call them? Are they Captains?) He was not only a great guide, he just seems like a great person. He was nice, polite, and did one hell of a job on the river! I have great memories with my bestie, and some really great pictures also. We didn't see any exciting animals, but that's ok. Still a great trip! I will go to Yellowstone for wild bears! :)
