Brad and I spent the day with Roy, a historian, a patient teacher and a funny as hell human being. Such an accomplished guide, drift boats man, with a love for the lakes and the rivers, that he both loves, and thrives in. He truly wants his guests to succeed in catching fish and makes every effort to do so. I was not having much luck on the last day and the last part of our journey together. He told me that he was going to get me a fish. He gave me a standard rod and reel, and then it happened, finally, I got a great fish. Hallelujah!! He was truly pulling for me to finally get one and "we" did ! Thank you Roy for your expertise, your fun loving and patient demeanor. They were able to squeeze us in last min for a half day white water rafting trip. Everyone who works there was super friendly and went out of their way to introduce themselves to us. After a short ride on the "cool bus" and and a little safety talk, we were on our way. Our guide Chris was super cool and knowledgeable about the area. In between rapids and one liner dad jokes he told us about the different cliffs and other stuff on the river. Overall it was an amazing day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Found the company through Groupon, and had a great time the first time so we came back with a group of five adults and five kids. Catfish was the guide both years for the "grown up's" raft, and Taylor was the guide for the kids. Our guides were great -- Catfish took us through the most exciting parts of the rapids, and was very knowledgeable about the river. Taylor was careful with the kids (didn't take them through the most hairy water) and was very nice, letting the kids take turns controlling the raft during calm spots. The water was a lot better in July than in June, and the half day trip took a little less than three hours. The rapids were fantastic -- some of the best we've encountered in Idaho. The guides had dry bags for our phones and keys, and coolers with drinks. We'll use H20 again and will try to book a whole-day trip next time. A great experience with great guides.

My husband and I enjoyed the small museum on one of the stops and another stop was Sturgeon Rock which my husband jump off into the river. I do feel for the price the lunch could have been better. There were plenty of drinks for everyone. Captain Eric and Cassidy were great. They played music during the ride at our request and were very helpful getting in and out of the boat. Captain Eric had years of experience driving that boat so we felt very safe. We saw deer, big horn sheep, eagles and a sturgeon. A very professional company and nice big boats with a roof to shade us.

Our group of 16 adventurous women experienced the thrill of Class III and IV rapids while surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. We were accompanied by five exceptional young men who were the epitome of true gentlemen. They took amazing care of us every step of the way--preparing five-star breakfasts, lunches, and dinners complete with appetizers and delicious desserts, setting up our tents, sharing fascinating history about the river, and, most importantly, keeping us safe on the water. Their professionalism, kindness, and hard work made the trip even more memorable. Each day brought incredible wildlife sightings, including bald eagles soaring overhead, ospreys, an otter, great blue herons, merganssers, and bighorn sheep. Evenings were spent relaxing around camp with great food, plenty of adult beverages, wonderful conversation, and sleeping under a sky full of stars. The rapids were exhilarating, the scenery was spectacular, the company was unforgettable, and the memories will last a lifetime. My expectations for the weekend were blown out of the water (literally) in the first ten minutes on the jet boat ride. I don't think we stopped smiling for 3 days. I can't imagine a more beautiful setting for a wedding if rivers and mountains hold a piece of your heart. The staff was incredibly fun and accommodating. Dax is the cutest 6 year old host you'll ever meet and I felt almost no stress before the wedding because I knew Joni had everything under control. If you want a wild jet boat ride, jump on Bucks boat ;) Mackay Bar is truly a hidden gem in Idaho. All of my friends and family are texting me that we forever ruined their expectation of a wedding. Sunset horseback rides, fishing, hiking and phenomenal food. I am forever grateful for our wedding weekend and Mackay Bar and we are plotting to get back there as soon as possible.

We did lots of horseback riding on the beautiful local trails. The owners helped us book white water rafting, fishing, and jet boat rides. The food was great. Our whole family had a great time.
