I'm very pleased with the service I got from All-Pro. Myron called me within 5 minutes of my request for an estimate, and he was very patient and friendly. Very disarming. I knew immediately I wanted to buy this guy a beer. Two guys came to my house the very next day, and were able to diagnose and repair the faulty electric in my garage in under 10 minutes. The culprit was a faulty GFI. I thought it was nice that they had a spare on hand, and didn't have to run to the shop to fetch one. The cost of the replacement part was a bit of a markup, but the labor was cheap, so it balances out. I can't believe the whole process, from inquiry to repair, took less than 24 hours. I've never gotten anything in my home repaired that quickly before. Myron says he wants to retire soon, and I suppose he is entitled. I just hope the speed and quality of service continues after he moves on to sandy beaches. I would hire All-Pro again. read more

Look no further. These are your guys. I called and spoke to them based on Yelp reviews - no regrets. A large circuit in our house failed right before we were about to have visitors for the weekend. I spoke with Myron first thing on a Friday morning and he was at my house shortly after that. He found the loose wire in a basement light fixture pretty quickly - problem solved. Our house was built in 1903, so I already knew we had probably had other issues. He pointed out some things we should have upgraded - no pressure to do additional work - just obvious stuff that was easy to see. I also already knew of additional work I wanted done. They upgraded our service (existing circuit panel was already maxed out) and added a new circuit for our electric dryer. We also had problems with our kitchen circuits tripping pretty easily. They fixed that quickly, also. I plan to call them back soon to install a circuit for a new steam generator in our shower. Excellent service, polite, clean, on time and they do what they say they will do. Great company. read more

We wanted to add an outlet on the exterior of our century-old house, and when Myron came over to do the estimate he pointed out a couple of issues that needed to be fixed -- not urgent, but soon. So we asked him to install the outlet and fix issue #1, to add a ground. The pleasant and professional two-man crew arrived bright and early this morning, added the outlet, added the ground, installed a light bulb in the crawl space (he said why not, he was in there anyway), and fixed a sloppy wire in the circuit panel, and explained it all to me -- all for about 20% less than the estimate! I called All Pro because they're local to Oak Park and a father-son operation (I prefer single-person contractors whenever possible). Myron Sharp is the main guy and his son helps him with the work. I hired Myron to upgrade my old fuse boxes (which were a mess with 3 daughter boxes off the main one) to a 200 amp service with circuit breakers. Upon hearing what I wanted, Myron proceded to explain to me exactly how he'd prefer to do it and what components he'd use and why. I was very happy with his choice of breaker panel. He got a large (40 breaker capacity) Siemens panel for me and explained that it was the only panel that large on the market anymore with a copper hot bus. Apparently all of the other brands are using aluminum because it's cheaper. I of course agreed with him that an extra 60-70 dollars for the hardware was worth it for a better conducting material. After stopping by same-day to take a look, he gave me an estimate right away and explained what the process was - he'd get a permit, do the work, and arrange for an inspection. The inspection would trigger ComEd to come out and replace the lines (which are old and cross over the neighbors yard which isn't to code) for which I'd probably be charged about $600. It was good to know this up front. His estimate came exactly where I wanted it and I had him do the work right away. On a Friday we were able to schedule as early as Tuesday. Tuesday Myron arrived with his son and worked all day doing the work. In the meantime, he was able to run me temporary power so that I could keep my fishtank running partially while the power to the house was out. At the end, the work Myron did was beautiful. It was an immaculately professional job - the wiring inside the breaker box looks as organized and clean as what you'd see in a datacenter (when I commented on this Myron mentioned that he used to wire datacenters). I am extremely happy with the work and with Myron and think the cost was reasonable and well worth it. Highly recommended read more

This really is as good as it gets! Myron came to check out a problem we had with our jacuzzi. Not only did he show up when he said he would, he was able to tell without wasting time that the problem was not worth investing more money.
