When I stated I was taking it elsewhere, they charged me over $400.00. I towed the vehicle to a 2nd place that was able to diagnose in less than an hour and I had to beg the mechanic to take money for his time. If you need a timely, honest repair, I would go elsewhere.

Of course it was on a Saturday no less. The gal who answered was so nice. She got their tow truck operator dispatched and told me they had no problem holding my vehicle, etc. Marcos, their tow truck operator, got there fairly quick and delivered my truck to their lot. He was super nice and efficient. I asked them to run a diagnostic if needed and let me know what the estimated repairs would be. I would have to figure out how to get back to ABQ from AZ, etc. My wife called them on Tuesday (I was up to my rear in alligators at work). Their initial find was a frayed PCM cable (truck has +255k miles). Wednesday, the gal called to give me the prognosis and estimated cost. I gave them the nod to proceed. She left a message later in the day to say my truck was ready (still swimming with those gators). My personal issue was getting to their shop to pay them and pick my truck up. They were pretty cool about how long it would take me to get that done. Yes, I highly recommend Aiden's Diesel & Auto if you need work done on your diesel pickup.

Adding a few words to respond to Bryan's comments. I'll start with; Perhaps we can agree to…read moredisagree. I suspect Bryan will agree that we were not the right customer for On Site. We're 70s(ish) retired Federal Government employees (I'm also a veteran) traveling America in a half million dollar class-A motorhome that suffered an engine failure Saturday afternoon. Still not sure why Bryan said that we looked "shady," especially since we never met him, but in any case we're pretty darn sure others like us who might suffer a Cummins engine issue in Albuquerque will rather go directly to Cummins (where they do indeed have dedicated RV sites within their fenced lot) to have their problem resolve. 1). We contacted On Site (Carlos answered the phone) Saturday afternoon, not Sunday as Bryan's asserted. 2) We paid over $3K to have our coach towed to On Site based on assurances that Carlos gave that On Site would work to resolve our Cummins engine issue "within 12 to 24 hours." The only thing their technician said he would do that Sunday was reinstall the driveshaft (removed by AAA for towing) so our coach could be driven onto On Site's yard where we had no access. On Site does even have a customer waiting area. 3) After seeing On Site's operation it didn't take us long to determine that we certainly were NOT their usual customer (the guy sleeping in his car on the lot was a good tip off)l so we found another towing company and got moved directly to Cummins. On Site's towing company failed to get us out after trying for an hour, so we called another. 4) Cummins has since determined that our engine problem is not/not what On Site's technician said it was and they are now fixing the problem under warranty. So, IF you are anything like us, you might want to look at other options. On Site certainly wasn't what we expected or had hoped, and apparently folks like us aren't the kind of customer On Site wants because we look "shady" to them. GOOD LUCK!! I hate to complain but that's mostly because I hate having such egregious stuff to complain about. Long story short, their website looks great and engenders confidence but when you arrIve you immediately suspect that it was a huge mistake. After a full day of broken promises, no repair work being done, being told that I will have to prepay for parts from their vendor in order for them to use, AND frequent suggestions to abandon our expensive class-a motorhome in their yard with a firm policy of no customers allowed in the yard we paid another expensive tow to be brought to a reputable establishment. We feel fortunate that we escaped them without incurring even more crazy charges (for example; they insisted on cash payment to read the engine error code, which I had already given them). Maybe they do good stuff for other customers, but we sure didn't see any good service.

Truck drivers, especially small fleets, please, beware of this repair shop!…read more 2nd to None Service takes full advantage of their remote NM location and can unfortunately do a lot of damage to your bottom line. It's great to read positive media coverage about the owners, but the media has failed to paint the whole picture of why they are successful. Has your truck broken down nearby? Their towing service is cheaper than the competition, but they charge unbelievably astronomical prices for their repair work (and parts) once they have you at the shop (where you have no other choice but to accept their rates).

As he stated that he will retrain his people, I hope that he accomplishes his vision of improving customer service and mechanic knowledge. Adding another star for his prompt resolution. Thank you Kyle for doing the right thing. Original Posting: What can I say about this company. First off, if you are traveling through Moriarty,NM and have car troubles, They will take advantage of your situation. They do not know how to troubleshoot codes in gas vehicles. Leaving you in the waiting room for hours on end. They break your working items, then not want to replace them with the OEM part they had broken, rather want to replace with cheaper item. They know nothing about customer service. Owner, David Saline will not take responsibility for his employees. He will not answer calls.

(TRUCKERS BEWAR) check the work good!!! I took my Pete in for new bushings 3 axle alignment shocks…read morebasically a complete suspension job. My truck was there for over 3 weeks when I picked it up and took it literally down the street it was damn near shaking apart so I took it right back and they kept it for another week because they never preformed the camber on it when I picked it up it was ok and I was told to buy new tires that they were the cause of the shaking so I went and got new tires mounted and balanced all the way around the truck. I still had an issues with the wearing of tires on the steer so I took it back again and to my surprise I was told that I needed to drop the steer axle again and get a camber done on it, when I told them that it was done by them a month ago they replied that it if there's not two signatures on the paper that it was my fault for taking the truck and not checking it. I paid for it again and when I came back a few days later to my surprise they told me it was done but when I inspected the truck there was not one new u bolt on it witch lead me to believe the job was not done again I also ended up with a bent bumper in the process but by this time I needed my truck and I needed it to be working again. Months later I stopped at a shop in Denver because my tires are wearing again and what a night and day difference with the experience and I was told that I would get updates threw the whole process. I stayed there a week and it costed me 1,800.00 vs the 5,700.00 I paid at McBrides and to this day the truck is running as smooth as it ever has not to mention I got photos and video of all the work done on my truck. BE CAUTIOUS when getting work done here and make sure you inspect everything they say they did they are vary untrustworthy and will cut corners and lie that they did work they never preformed. I I'm not the only one that this has been done to there are a lot of independents and small trucking companies that will attest to what I am saying it sucks that they are the only ones in Albuquerque but a little drive to Cruces, El Paso or Colorado will save you big in the long run.

Another shop had offered to replace the radiator and fix the issue for $900, but they were booked and couldn't take me until Tuesday. Since I couldn't wait, I chose Farmboys -- they seemed reliable at the time. They started working on my truck at 9 AM and told me it would take about 5-6 hours. Instead, I didn't get my truck back until around 7 PM. At the last minute, they told me the AC needed to be recharged with refrigerant and added an extra charge for that. The final bill came out to $1,745. They sent me an invoice (attached), which lists a radiator for a 2023 RAM, even though I clearly told them my truck is a 2022. When I brought this up, they told me it was just a mistake on their end and assured me that the correct (2022) radiator was installed. Still, that kind of error doesn't build confidence. They also charged $100 for coolant -- which would be fine if it had actually been filled properly. I spent the entire day waiting at a truck stop. When I finally got the truck back, I immediately noticed a low coolant warning on the dashboard. I asked about it, and they told me it was just "circulating" and nothing to worry about. I specifically asked if coolant had been added, and they said yes. I had to leave right away, so I drove off. At the next gas station, I opened the hood and saw that the coolant reservoir was completely empty. I bought coolant and filled it -- it immediately disappeared. There were no visible leaks underneath. I added more, and the same thing happened. In total, I went through about two gallons. At that point, it was clear the system had not been properly filled. A couple of days later, I started hearing a strange noise from under the hood. After inspecting the truck, I found a crack in a critical mounting point that secures and stabilizes the radiator. This is a brand-new part, and it was already damaged. I contacted the shop, and they told me it was "probably due to vibration" and suggested I just tighten a bolt. After looking further, I found a loose bolt underneath that had not been properly secured. Their response was the same, along with telling me to bring the truck back. For context, this truck has 450,000 miles, and I've never had bolts come loose or issues like this before. This clearly points to poor workmanship. I paid the full amount they asked for -- $1,745 -- and now I'm left with ongoing issues. The low coolant warning is still on, there is still a noise coming from the radiator area, and I'm not even confident the correct radiator was installed. I do NOT recommend this shop. This experience has cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress. I now have to take my truck to another shop to properly diagnose and fix these problems.
