I've made three visits to Accessories Unlimited: To wire a dual battery system; Install trailer wiring and brake controller and; Troubleshoot an electrical problem. I've been less than completely satisfied with the first two tasks. The dual battery system was questionable to the point that I replaced it. The trailer wiring and controller function okay but the workmanship -splicing, wire routing- were crude. Finally, they were either stymied by the electrical problem, or they did want to deal with it. I was still charged 130 bucks. That said, the staff is friendly, courteous and professional as far as scheduling and communication. They accommodated my electrical problem right away. And it's a very nice facility. read more

I took my truck to the store to Ensure the nerf bars, headache rack and side rails were ordered correctly. And yes, the nerf bars were ordered incorrectly, wasting my entire morning for install just to get excuses. The headache ra k and side rails were install poorly making a giant hole in the inside of my bed, obviously the shop personnel did not care and installed was without supervision. My remote start fell off my keychain and when I went back to find it, it had been run over. I tinted the windows on my new truck last week. After picking up my vehicle and driving home I noticed a purple/brown hue on the back windows. I took my vehicle back today and was told the film they used covered the manufacturers tint and that was the result of the odd coloring. I asked to have the tint removed. They were not going to issue me a refund ($200) and wanted $75 to remove the tint. Had I known my windows were not going to be black all the way around I would not have wasted the money. read more

A great trustworthy place! I bought a spoiler for a car that I ended up trading in for the model I originally wanted and it already had a spoiler. Since what I ordered was custom and painted for me I wasn't expecting much of a refund... maybe just the labor costs that I had prepaid for. Angie was awesome and not only gave me a refund for the labor but also gave me a refund for most of the cost of the spoiler. Traveling across country, our truck's Pace Edwards tonneau cover lock stopped working. We had to tie it down manually to keep the cover closed - not very secure for our belongings in the back. Coming into Albuquerque, we searched for a dealer who would help us. Found Accessories Unlimited, and they took care of us! Travis adjusted the lock, checked its operation, and it worked! Went into Accessories Unlimited shopping around for an alarm/remote start. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Andres. Had no intentions to buy immediately, was just window shopping. But the customer service we received was very, very good. I work with Discount Tire and I know the value of good customer service. Didn't even shop around. The knowledge of the product and great customer service is what sold me. We asked if it would be able to get installed today. Andres Was unsure so he, went to the back and asked the technician. They had room for me today. Told me normal time would take 4 hours. Got it done in less time. Once I received the call to go pick it up once again Andres explained the in's and out's of everything. Called this place on Christmas Eve to make an appointment, spoke with Kathy. They have great reviews so I assume they know what they are doing. I asked if I would need to have a spare key to lose as part of the install. I was told no but that she should check and call me back if it did. I never hear back so assume I am in the clear. Day of the appointment I call because I haven't heard anything. It turns out my appointment was never scheduled, that I do need a key and there is no way I can get it done on the same day. So I took a day off work for nothing. After they couldn't find me on the schedule the manager asks are you calling the right shop? How dumb do you think I am? I gave my credit card details to your staff! I don't hand those out like Halloween candy. They look for the person I spoke with. After holding for a while Kathy comes in the line and admits the error. I ask if they can get it done today. I hold for another 8 or minutes. The call ends. I call back and now they know for sure I will need a another key. I have to order it from the dealership. Despite asking in advance if this would be the case and being told no, it actually is needed. I'm told there is nothing that can be done. Kathy is nice but that doesn't fix anything. I asked for a manager. Orlando(spelling?) gets on and is pleasant. Which is appreciated but there aren't any answers. There is nothing that can be done and mistakes happen he says. I understand they do, we all make them. I did however ask the right questions. I made this easy for them and they still couldn't do something as simple as schedule the appointment. If I get a key they will try to work something out. So back to I wasted a day off because they aren't knowledgeable. Orlando was nice. He offered a small discount but that doesn't fix the wasted day. Don't come here they aren't that knowledgeable and don't follow up. If making the appointment was this much trouble and filled with so much fail imagine them cutting into your wiring or doing any complex work at all! Would you trust people who can't do simple things to do complex things? I wouldn't. Save your effort and spend your money someplace where they value you and time. read more

I ordered sear covers for my father's 2006 Dodge ram. I went down in the truck to make sure there would be no miscalculations. After receiving the seat covers, we tried to install only to find out that that seat covers were tapered by the headrest. The back of the seat are square. I went to explain this to them. They refused to even look at them and even though I came back in the truck so they could see for themselves, all that was told to me was we will charge you 80.00 to install. Accessories Unlimited was recommended to me by the dealer I got my used Dodge Ram from. The dealer was paying for a leveling kit. I contacted George at Accessories unlimited and asked him about upgrading my leveling kit but initially i was not sure what I wanted. George must have taken 10 calls from me over the next couple weeks while I decided what to go with. He was patient and explained all the different options and prices to me and finally came up with exactly what I wanted. The installation went smoothly and my truck looks exactly how I wanted it to. I brought my truck in a few months later for a check to make sure the kit I got was all secure and in proper working order. George greeted me by name and had me out within 30 minutes. I live in Santa Fe and had to go to Albuquerque for a 2-day seminar. On the way down, the sunroof in my 2011 Toyota RAV4 spontaneously shattered. As it had been installed by this company when I bought the car in December, 2011, and I was going to be in ABQ for 2 days, I called midday on the first day to see what could be done. From the VIN Rolando, the sales manager, was able to find the prior invoice and verify exactly what roof had been installed. Somewhat to both of our surprise, the necessary glass was in stock rather than needing to be ordered. He spoke with his technician, explained that I was from out of town, and, as a result, on very short notice I was scheduled today to have the replacement done. I arrived about 30 minutes early. I was greeted professionally by the owner (and in a friendly manner by his black lab Maggie - having two yellow labs myself that was a nice touch!). The work was done while I waited, within the estimated time frame, and at the low end of the estimated price. I could not have been more pleased with the responsiveness, professionalism, and friendliness of all concerned and would not hesitate to recommend dealing with these folks to anyone. read more
