I have two Westies and brought them to this location maybe 2-3 times before making the decision to look elsewhere and change groomers. Finding a groomer was hard as I started looking during the start of the COVID pandemic. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, without notice, they added an extra charge of $30-40/per dog, due to them being "difficult". I asked them what that meant, and asked them if they were biting at them, and they said no. One of the groomers did have some scratches on her arms, but didn't go into details on what happened. This place accepts anywhere from 6-8 dogs at a time, and my only guess was that maybe the combined noises from the blow driers was too much for my two dogs. Their haircuts were fine, but overpriced for the end product. I am completely happy with the current groomer we go to in WSP - Wiggles & Wags. It is a smaller location, and that could have been just what I needed for my two dogs. Leah and Alex clearly have had a lot of experience. I was concerned dropping them off after the experience at Haute Dog, but when I picked them up, they told me that "they were great - no problems". I couldn't believe my ears. I shared my experience at Haute Dog, and they said that is not the experience they had. My concern for Haute Dog is the well-being of dogs that may have special needs. My suggestion is that they get some employees who can think on the spot and find new ways to make dogs feel safe as every dog is different and has different fears or anxieties. When I picked up my dogs from Haute Dog, they could not wait to get out of that space and were shaking. Because of COVID it was another barrier that left me with many questions why my dogs were in the state that they were.

He used to love groomer but he is seriously traumatized by this visit he's shaking hiding under bed and not the same dog. In fact, Gentle Care Grooming just signed another 5 year lease so they are "here to stay". Vanessa (the owner) and her husband run a 2 man show. I have taken both of my dogs (shitzaus) there for the past 13 years and I can say without a doubt that they do a wonderful job. I always feel my dogs have been well taken care of and loved while they are away at the "beauty shop". Their building is in a little bit of a run down strip mall but don't let that influence you from using them. Their hours can get a little tricky as they are only open from 7:30am to 3pm (or whenever the last dog gets picked up) Tuesday - Saturday. This is NOT a doggy day care so be expected to pick up your pet close to the time he/she will be finished. Have you cash or check book handy as do not take any credit cards. I would highly recommend this groomer to anyone in need of one!

Hugo is a Frenchie, so we've struggled a bit to find a daycare/boarding facility that would be comfortable for my high-maintenance little guy. Well, Lucky Dog exceeds "comfortable" by all of the parameters. The staff treats you like you are family - they go above and beyond for the clients and their fur babies. One example - when I pick Hugo up from his daycare playtime, he stubbornly just lays on the ground outside and refuses to get into the vehicle. The front desk girls (without me even asking them), "escort" us to the car and then Hugo happily jumps in and is ready to be on his merry way (until his next visit). As far as the rating Lucky Dog Pet Lodge is 6 STARS out of 5!!!! Thank you for being part of our lives!
