He was able to give me a quote over text and could come out the next day!!! All of the other companies that bothered to reply couldn't come out for a week or more, and they gave a "starting" bid. Phil kept in constant communication with me. He let me know when he was on his way and when he would be arriving. He even arrived a little earlier than the window given. He walked the perimeter of the house, looked at all of my concerns, explained that what I thought were box elder were actually another beetle (no red x on their back). I knew of one area where wasps were getting in under the patio ceiling, and soffit around the house. Phil not only hit the entire perimeter of the house, yard, trees, and area where I knew the wasps to be, but he hit the entire soffit everywhere there was space to spray. He offered to come inside the house and spray all of window frames, but I didn't think it necessary. Needless to say, we had bug graveyards surrounding the house within a day. I did notice a few stragglers after about 5 days and when I asked him about it, he said he'd be out to do a second treatment. Full disclosure we have a lot of trees, of which some are growing over the house touching the roof above the window I noticed a few (like three instead of thirty) bugs hanging around. He offered to come inside and this time I said yes. He wore protective slippers over his shoes and hit every window in and door upstairs and down. I invoked my larger relationship with Sav-A-Tree and made a plea to at least finish the season due to the totally unexpected and unwarranted inconvenience. I made clear that I understood the business decision, but neither understood nor appreciated the abrupt inconvenience. I also understand that Stewart was within their contractual rights to terminate, but made clear that the question of whether it was an ethical business decision was a completely different matter. The answer from the representative of Stewart's was a firm no. I made clear that this was not how a decent business should be run. I was disappointed, to say the least. I have begun to make alternative arrangements already, but want to raise this issue up the corporate ladder. This is not the way to run a customer focused business. Period. End of Story. So, the company responded a second time...no apologies, nothing, which is completely unacceptable for a customer facing company. I will continue to raise this issue up the corporate ladder until there is a resolution that is satisfactory. They don't get what I'm saying....which confirms how tone-deaf Stewart's is. This summer was especially bad and we lost all our annuals and some of our perennials. It seems the treatments aren't sufficient and the job done far too quickly to be effective. Now I can't even get an appointment for them to come out yet again to try and deal with this. I feel like I'm never listened to or taken seriously.
