    Bowl I pained

I've been to All Fired Up many times throughout the years. There is always a wild variety of pieces to paint and colors to use. Even if you are a beginner, there are many tools available to use to make the painting process easier. The staff are always very attentive and sweet. This is more of a place where you don't really need their help with a lot of things besides getting paint but always they are always available to help no matter what. It's a very chill and quiet area to come with family, friends, or even by yourself to get some nice quality time. I always recommend this place to all my friends!!

I hosted a fundraising party for my kid's school. The kids had so much fun painting pottery The staff was so sweet and patient with everyone, and you can tell they really care about making it a great experience for the kids. Highly recommend this place for parties or a fun family day out. And bonus, it's a female owned small business! Love being able to support that

this is the plate I painted.

All fired up was amazing, the paints are beautiful and they have so many different designs and colors. I brought my kids here with their friends and they had so so much fun, I will definitely be coming back. The pieces were ready within a week and turned out gorgeous.

My experience here went from bad to worst. I had made a reservation for 5 pm for my birthday party. Good thing I got there a few minutes before 5 pm because the girl #1 working that evening said she was about to close even though hours are until 7 pm. She said when they called to confirm the booking, they had somehow called a different number and that person canceled the booking. I picked up the pieces after 6 weeks. Holidays were busy, and that's fine, but I did not get any call that they were ready like they said they would. I had to call to see if they were ready each time. Upon picking up the pieces, 4 of the 10 had defects including areas of missed glaze, missing chunks, and extra chunks. I went back after 2 days to pick up the pieces and 2 still had issues, so again I left them behind to get fixed (by girl #2). A week passes because I'm busy with work. When I walk into the store, the girl #1 said the bowl was cracked but not broken. The other vase was literally broken on the bottom which she neglected to say! She said it was a kiln error. There were 2 gift certificates left in the bowl and she did not know how much they would be for. I left to come back the next day with my friend who's bowl was cracked for her to decide what to do. My friends decided to get a refund and I agreed as I would not want a gift certificate to come back here. A different girl (#3) was working this day and she was calculating and collecting cash, at one point going through her own wallet. When she handed me a wad of cash, I asked if she could break down how it was calculated as there was no receipt or proof of transaction. When her calculation was off, I asked for a piece of paper and pen to do it myself. Then she handed me a $100 bill that was more than the refund and did not say to just take it or ask for change for the difference. My friend ended up giving $5 back for the correct amount as I do not carry cash and I'm not looking for money, just to right the wrong. I would NOT recommend coming here. There is a lack of proactive action regarding any issues that arise, and seemingly any adult workers.

This place was super understaff the Saturday that I went. You had one girl managing a kids party of 10 along with 3-4 other small groups. Otherwise it is a fun mindless activity. Very fun for kids and adults. They had quite a selection of colors and pieces to choose from to paint. Parking wasn't bad in downtown Burlingame. Each piece was about 30 dollars in total after fees, but we spent a good 1-2 hrs here.

Great spot for a walk in activity, but it was a little pricey! Inside is cozy and quaint, and the employee was extremely friendly and helpful. The paint color choices are good too, and she let us ask for paint refills!

Nice place to relax and paint. The girl was really helpful and explained the process. She also checks up on you and helps you get the paint from the shelves.

A very therapeutic and relaxing place to be if you want to avoid the busy environment in Downtown Burlingame. The employees were extremely kind and helpful, constantly helping my friend and I whenever we needed help!

Unpredictable. Not open at 12:30, need to pick up my piece. I see little kids waiting too.

Very overpriced. No call to pick up pottery but will throw out your work if not picked up after 30 days.

The wall of color was so helpful to see how the colors would fire and how many coats to achieve the right color we wanted! Lots of brushes and tools to get the design you want! Usually I am not the one to leave bad reviews but our experience here was unacceptable to the point…read morewhere I had to. Initially, we had a great experience! We came here last month to paint 2 bowls which cost us only ~$76 total for the studio time and bowls themselves. And, before anyone says anything and blames us, YES we did a double coat of paint! Then, we came a week later to pick them up and in the moment, they looked good! Then once we got home, we realized that there was a little paint chip on one of the bowls, making it no longer food safe. Granted, we probably should have noticed this ourselves when we picked up the bowls but we believe it is also the employees' responsibility to perform a quality check before giving a product to a paying customer?! Instead, they didn't say a word when we picked it up the first time so we had to notice the defect ourselves and drive all the way back from the east bay to get it fixed. After coming back to get it fixed, we came back yet another time to pick up the fixed bowl, believing that the bowl's paint chip would be fixed this time. However, to our surprise, the bowl was not fixed. Rather, the paint chips were even worse this time...going from a single small paint chip to SEVERAL large paint chips along the outer edge of the bowl. Again, the employee didn't say anything to us when they gave us the bowl until we pointed out how the paint chips were even WORSE this time. In response, they blamed the worsened condition of the bowl on their "finicky burner" and offered us either a $36 refund or store credit. They didn't even apologize for their mistake or wasting our time yet again. Of course, we took the refund because why would we take another chance here... Personally, I am grateful that they gave us a refund but I feel this experience was a huge waste of time and money. We had to make 4 separate trips from the east bay to SF and what did we get out of it? A bowl with a shitty paint job that somehow got worse with each "fix". A $36 refund doesn't even cover the cost of tolls to cross the bay bridge and come back this many times, not mention the cost of the time and GAS we spent coming back so many times. Overall, I hope Terra Mia Ceramic Studios takes this as a learning lesson to perform more rigorous quality inspections before giving the finished product to paying customers as prevent their customers from wasting time and money coming back to get it fixed. After all, after we finish painting, everything else is in the hands of the employees (glazing, firing, quality check, etc), all we do is come back to pick up the finished product. I feel as though this all could have been avoided, especially since it's just a simple bowl...there are so many more intricate complicated objects that people paint at the studio... Painting the bowls was a great fun experience but we are not happy about coming back 3 additional times to get it fixed only for it to get worse each successive time.
