Bowl I pained

I've been to All Fired Up many times throughout the years. There is always a wild variety of pieces to paint and colors to use. Even if you are a beginner, there are many tools available to use to make the painting process easier. The staff are always very attentive and sweet. This is more of a place where you don't really need their help with a lot of things besides getting paint but always they are always available to help no matter what. It's a very chill and quiet area to come with family, friends, or even by yourself to get some nice quality time. I always recommend this place to all my friends!!

I hosted a fundraising party for my kid's school. The kids had so much fun painting pottery The staff was so sweet and patient with everyone, and you can tell they really care about making it a great experience for the kids. Highly recommend this place for parties or a fun family day out. And bonus, it's a female owned small business! Love being able to support that

this is the plate I painted.

All fired up was amazing, the paints are beautiful and they have so many different designs and colors. I brought my kids here with their friends and they had so so much fun, I will definitely be coming back. The pieces were ready within a week and turned out gorgeous.

My experience here went from bad to worst. I had made a reservation for 5 pm for my birthday party. Good thing I got there a few minutes before 5 pm because the girl #1 working that evening said she was about to close even though hours are until 7 pm. She said when they called to confirm the booking, they had somehow called a different number and that person canceled the booking. I picked up the pieces after 6 weeks. Holidays were busy, and that's fine, but I did not get any call that they were ready like they said they would. I had to call to see if they were ready each time. Upon picking up the pieces, 4 of the 10 had defects including areas of missed glaze, missing chunks, and extra chunks. I went back after 2 days to pick up the pieces and 2 still had issues, so again I left them behind to get fixed (by girl #2). A week passes because I'm busy with work. When I walk into the store, the girl #1 said the bowl was cracked but not broken. The other vase was literally broken on the bottom which she neglected to say! She said it was a kiln error. There were 2 gift certificates left in the bowl and she did not know how much they would be for. I left to come back the next day with my friend who's bowl was cracked for her to decide what to do. My friends decided to get a refund and I agreed as I would not want a gift certificate to come back here. A different girl (#3) was working this day and she was calculating and collecting cash, at one point going through her own wallet. When she handed me a wad of cash, I asked if she could break down how it was calculated as there was no receipt or proof of transaction. When her calculation was off, I asked for a piece of paper and pen to do it myself. Then she handed me a $100 bill that was more than the refund and did not say to just take it or ask for change for the difference. My friend ended up giving $5 back for the correct amount as I do not carry cash and I'm not looking for money, just to right the wrong. I would NOT recommend coming here. There is a lack of proactive action regarding any issues that arise, and seemingly any adult workers.

This place was super understaff the Saturday that I went. You had one girl managing a kids party of 10 along with 3-4 other small groups. Otherwise it is a fun mindless activity. Very fun for kids and adults. They had quite a selection of colors and pieces to choose from to paint. Parking wasn't bad in downtown Burlingame. Each piece was about 30 dollars in total after fees, but we spent a good 1-2 hrs here.

Great spot for a walk in activity, but it was a little pricey! Inside is cozy and quaint, and the employee was extremely friendly and helpful. The paint color choices are good too, and she let us ask for paint refills!

Nice place to relax and paint. The girl was really helpful and explained the process. She also checks up on you and helps you get the paint from the shelves.

A very therapeutic and relaxing place to be if you want to avoid the busy environment in Downtown Burlingame. The employees were extremely kind and helpful, constantly helping my friend and I whenever we needed help!

It was packed the day I went (day before Mother's Day). Regardless, the staff was super friendly and very, very helpful and no one seemed stressed. They have everything laid out on the tables for you; paint color palette to choose your paint colors, paint tray, water, white butcher paper on each table. They then bring pencils and paintbrushes to you as well. The employee helping us explained the process in detail and was there every step of the way when we needed help. There is a separate room for parties here which is nice for both party guests and for the other customers just going to paint. Looks like you can bring in trays of food to the party room, which is a nice feature. I found the painting experience here to be fun, clean and very organized. They have a large selection of paint items to choose from too. I would come back in a heartbeat. For those who care, it does seem a little smaller than the other 2 places, especially on a busy day but not so much so that it would deter me from coming back. Whoever does the hiring and training of your employees - GREAT JOB! I hope it's consistently like this on all days and if so, you're going to attract repeat customers.

You have a better chance at getting a table if there's 2 people, or if you're able to - split your party to a couple of tables so you're not all waiting so long. Weeknights is complete opposite. My son and I went to pick up some pieces that were ready, and there was not a single person painting. So we decided to stay and paint another item.

We ended up having to wait around 20 minutes before a table freed up so I definitely suggest calling ahead to make a reservation! The owner of this business was incredibly nice. She took time to explain the glazes and how the process of painting our pieces worked. There is a flat fee of $15/person and you get unlimited time in the studio to paint your pieces. There was a wide range of glazes available for you to paint with. My only gripe was the condition the paintbrushes were in.. I was not able to find a brush for finer details and most of the paintbrushes were old with fraying brushes. The total price depends on the piece or pieces that you choose to paint. Our total ended up being $65 (you can get a 20% discount if you follow their social media or print a coupon from their website). Overall this was a great experience and I would love to visit again! I will update the photos with the finished pieces once I go pick them up!

***3.5 stars overall***…read more I took a friend to Color Me Mine for their birthday. This location was convenient but it was really small. I am glad I made a table reservation. (You put a $10 deposit on the table that ends up going towards your final bill.) Because of the long rectangular shape of the store, the staff sit in the middle of the store, so no one greets you when you walk in. Thus, we were a little confused when we entered -- not knowing if we look for our table first or look for a ceramic piece first? Or do we check in somewhere? A greeting from the staff would have solved this. Without leaving their counter, someone briefly and hurriedly explained the process and locations of everything, and left us to begin. Even though I had done this before, it was my first time at this store and it was my friend's first painting pottery ever, and we were both lost, even after her mini tutorial. (I have been to pottery painting places where they walk you to the paint area to get you started, as an example of comparison.) Thankfully I remembered things from previous experiences that the painted ceramic tiles by the paint bottles with 3 squares symbolize what the different layers would look like after firing. (This is critical knowledge that the staff should point out to each group, so we'd understand how each layer of paint looks when dried/fired because sometimes we may want to paint 3 layers of paint, but not always. It was crucial to understand how to reference these tiles!) The paints and brushes were in one corner; the sink and paper towels were around the corner in the back of the store; and there was one main shelf of unpainted pottery choices (with a range of prices, but after adding in your $10 a person sitting fee, the final cost adds up, so be sure you like the piece you choose!) We chose to paint one large piece together rather than 2 smaller pieces. To make the look more cohesive, we chose colors within a certain range (lavenders and yellows/orange), and then we didn't look at the each other's side! It was very fun. **Some Things To Note** - Your table reservation gives you 2 hours. (We finished in that time but we also didn't do a lot of detailed work. I actually think most people would need more time than that if you choose a large ceramic or are painting details.) - The tables are pretty close together, so you don't get much privacy. We all heard each other's conversations. It was also very narrow to walk between the tables when people were painting, so it may not be a place to bring active kids who can't sit still for long periods of time. - It looks like they allow outdoor food because many were bringing their own snacks. I brought in an outside drink, which I'm glad I did because it was warm and you sit there for hours. - They do have a bathroom, if anyone is wondering. - It may take a week for them to get to your ceramic piece, glaze and fire it, but we got a text that it was ready around 4 days after painting it. It is a fun experience to paint pottery, as long as you can afford it and feel comfortable approaching the counter to ask your questions because the staff doesn't seem like they go out of their way to offer help unfortunately.

We booked a reservation at color me mine around 3:00 PM, and after checking in with the staff we were shown our table and started right away. They told us the pieces would be ready within a week, but I actually received a text notification that they were ready just 4 days after our reservation.
