This place is a disaster. They run at least 45 minutes past your scheduled time, one of their opticians has such horrible breath you can barely stand to get to thru the appointment and they don't take responsibility for anything that doesn't go right with the work that they do. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and go somewhere else. read more

He did a very thorough examination and was very patient with my questions. They had a great selection of frames and did not steer me towards the most expensive ones as most places do. Aside from pricing Dr. Trinh took the time to understand some problems my eyes were having with reading and engineered a prism into my progressives to compensate for that. My girlfriend who has spent 10 years searching for a great eye glass store sent me here because she had such a positive experience. I went into All Vision to have them help me figure out why the new glasses I recently purchased somewhere else were so off. The Doctor and staff, knowing I wasn't going to buy anything, still sat me down and throughly checked into my complaint. He explained to me, in a very diplomatic way, what he felt was wrong with the glasses I had purchased. He also, without being pushy at all, explained the differences in the quality of lenses on the market. I am in the process of trying to get my money back from the other store, once I do I will absolutely be purchasing my new glasses here! Dr. Trinh provides the best optometric care I've experienced in the tri-county area, and I've been here a very long time. I was experiencing something very unusual with my eyes that was causing me great distress. UCLA's well reputed Jules Stein Eye Institute did nothing for me, and that's tough for me to say since I went to school there. Lenscrafters and Costco were also worthless. I needed a highly qualified professional who cared enough to take the time and run the tests necessary to diagnose my issue. I was really desperate and then I came upon the reviews of All Eye Care on Yelp. I called them begging to see them immediately. They heard the desperation in my voice and told me to come in later that day. Dr. Trinh was empathetic and absolutely understood what I was experiencing. He took the time necessary to investigate, evaluate and diagnose my issue, which he did to perfection. I will never go to UCLA (Jules Stein Eye Institute) again for my optometric care and Costco, Lenscrafters and the like are a joke with their cheap plastic distorted lenses and equally cheap and overpriced frames. I had no idea what I was missing until I received my new glasses from Dr. Trinh. If you want exceptional eye care from a smart, well educated optometric professional at a great price, go see Dr. Trinh. He is exceptionally thorough, professional and knowledgeable and is absolutely dedicated to providing the best care possible. I just can't speak more highly of him. I have been to countless optometrist since I was 11 years old. I have always been told that I have hard eyes to get a true prescription for. I have been wearing contact and then using reading glasses over them for years. Dr. Trinh however really took his time and worked to get the best prescription possible. I still can't get over how well I can see with my contacts! I can read with just my contacts and no glasses over them. I am so excited about this!! Also the staff is very nice and the building is clean and easy to get to. I love that I can come in on Saturday mornings and not have to worry about babysitters for my younger kids. I ordered contacts and they were there the next day. I am really excited that I found this place. read more

I left feeling like I was scammed. My vision is 20/15, always has been, and given this I went into All EyeCare for a standard eye exam with the intent of using the "sun protection" aspect of my vision insurance to get a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses (which AEC carried and the reason I went there). For my initial exam I saw Stacey Hu, she was nice but I could tell even though my vision was 20/15 (i.e. discernibly better than average), as she went to smaller objects during the eye exam, I obviously had to strain a little to see the objects (objects which most people with 20/20 vision can't see), at which time she said "see your eyes are straining to see those objects in the visual field". This allowed her to then segue into selling me prescription glasses that I neither wanted nor (in my estimation) medically needed. After asking what seemed like loaded questions (Do I sit at a computer screen a lot? Do I read a lot for work? Both of which I stated on a personal history form that I did). I then asked her, point blank, "So I need these glasses? Will they help my eyes over the long term?" to which she said, "Yes". Trusting her professional optometric judgement, I was able to rationalize in my head needing these prescription glasses (and not the sunglasses I had stated I originally wanted). After the exam, I was then set up with a higher end set of prescription glasses and they indicated would take ~2-4 weeks to arrive. When the glasses arrived I was fitted for them by an older OD apparently not currently in the office. When putting the new glasses on, I noted that it was blurry and kind of hurt my eyes when looking at objects in my near visual field, at which time the OD noted "it takes a few weeks for your eyes to adjust to the glasses". So I then asked, if my eyes are 20/15 why would my eyes need to adjust to the glasses, wouldn't this then cause my vision to then get worse? He said frankly (which I appreciated), "Yes, you will grow dependent on the glasses the more you wear them.", meaning the glasses would actually make the long-term health of my eyes worse at the expense of being able to have less short-term occupational eye strain. Long of the short, I went in with exceptional eye sight looking for sun glasses and ended up paying $878 ($410 out of pocket) for prescription glasses that not only I didn't need, but which would actually make my long term vision worse. My take is on All EyeCare is, if you have an established pre-existing eye condition and simply need to maintain the status quo or get a new set of frames, then this place might work for you. But if you actually need them to give you sound optometric advice and act as though they are supporting your individual needs, I would go somewhere else. Fool me once, shame on you. He is very thorough and knowledgeable and has a good way of explaining all about how the eye works. My husband and I came to see Dr Trinh today. I saw all the great reviews here and my interest was piqued. He was kind enough to squeeze my hubby in although originally only I had an appointment. The office is equipped with the latest equipment including a machine that is an alternative to dilation and which takes photos of your eye. But what most impressed us was his deep knowledge and how well he communicated it. He was honest about my cornea being a war zone and showed me all the scar tissue and irritated areas in my eyes, and made me realize how I need to start taking out my contact lenses every night instead of sleeping in them for weeks on end. With my hubby, he offered tips for retaining moisture in the eye and options given his lasik outcomes. Since I have a science and healthcare background, I really appreciated Dr Trinh's detailed explanations and advice. Will be back for a followup next week and plan to get a pair of glasses too. Definitely come see Dr Trinh - he's the type of doctor who makes you excited and believe in the medical community, and whom you can trust to look out for your best interests. read more

Not only the worst optometrist I've ever dealt with, but the worst overall consumer experience I've ever had. Rx was not right and lenses given to me scratched, and was led to believe I had somehow scratched my "scratch resist- not scratch proof" lenses in the time it took to try them on. They broke my plastic frames and would not replace them. Then he said he'd give me $125 towards new frames. THEn said $25. When I showed him his email where he said $125, he said he would not honor that. Then said he would not help me all together. Worst optometrist you will ever come across. read more

I've been going to All EyeCare for the last seven years and truly could not imagine a more kind, caring and compassionate team of medical staff as what I have encountered there. I've seen both Dr. Trinh and Dr. Hu and they are both so knowledgable and dedicated to giving you the best care possible. Exceeded expectations in every way.. Dr. Trinh took the time to answer each question I had.. His equipment was very impressive; actually showed me re-created images of each eye, veins and all.. My son and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Trinh and his staff. We came to him from another local office that attempted to teach my son had to put contact lenses in and told us after five minutes that he wasn't ready and we shouldn't come back for six months.
