Congratulations to Dr. Tim Trinh and his caring staff as they celebrated their 15th business anniversary this month! All patients were invited to join their party featuring food, drinks, prizes and gifts, and warm hospitality. A fun time was had by all. Dr. Tim's generosity was so kind. I am now well-stocked with products to help soothe my dry eyes for many months! Everyone who attended the event received a raffle ticket and great prizes were awarded. They also gave welcome bags of eye-care goodies just for attending. The food offerings were anchored by the taco guys (I didn't catch their actual business name). Dear TO, NP and Westlake residents, You don't know how lucky you are to have Dr. Zabaleta. I used to call TO my home town until employment changes forced me to move to Orange County in 2016. At about the same time, my vision was progressively getting worse until I could not improve it by wearing glasses anymore. My optometrist recommended fitting Scleral contact lenses since I have Keratoconus on my left eye and a cornea transplant on my right eye. I went through 3 fittings during the first year. Then 2 more during the second year. But still the lenses did not seem to fit well, I could not wear them more than 6 hours per day or I would get blood shots in my eyes after I take them off. I was almost ready to give up on Scleral lenses, when my Ophthalmologist recommended that I try Ketchum University Eye Center. Fortunately, I became a patient of Dr. Zabaleta when she did her residency at Ketchum University. Dr. Z took a lot of measurements and pictures using the specialized machines. She explained that since I have a cornea transplant on my right eye, I would need the largest Scleral lenses in order for them not to sit on the transplanted cornea. After just 2 fittings, I am able to see 20/20 and wear the Scleral contacts for as long as I want to because they are so comfortable. I was sad and a bit discouraged when I heard Dr. Z was ending her residency and planning to move on with her career. But 3 years later, I am still using the same prescription and Scleral lenses spec. without any issues. I am so grateful for the fitting that Dr. Z did for me that I decided to do a search; lo and behold, Dr. Z ended up in Thousand Oaks. How I wish I could move back to be her patient again. So if you are doing your research, know that you will be in the capable care of Dr. Zabaleta. From your first appointment you will feel welcomed as part of her family that she takes care with lots of compassion and patience. I've been a patient of Dr. Trin for nearly six years, and my sister has been seeing him since she was just eight years old she's now 23. I can confidently say he's the best. The entire staff is always warm, helpful, and truly dedicated to their patients. Unfortunately, due to a recent change in my insurance, I'll no longer be able to continue care with Dr. Trin, which is incredibly disappointing. It's rare to find an optometrist who genuinely cares, but Dr. Trin and all the doctors and staff here go above and beyond to provide the best care possible. I've never had a bad experience. Word of caution that they will push an optomap ($49 copay with VSP depending on your insurance). It's not a medical necessity and in the real world, not required for a standard optometry visit. Prior to this, I had just seen my Kaiser ophthalmologist who had performed a full dilation and exam. During check-in at All Eyecare, it became an inquisition requiring medical documentation to get this service removed, so I left during the battle with the poorly trained front office staff member. I just needed a new pair of glasses and was ready to fork out $1K like I did last time... just not the optomap. Luckily, I was able to make an appointment at a different place (Osterloh Optometry on TO Blvd) who doesn't push the optomap against customer wishes. read more

Came here after many years. Nice new office but too many staff that passing the responsibility to one another. Everyone blames other for delaying orders. Eye exam was rushed. More interested in selling a frame. Once ordered takes over 2 months to get the pair done and even then prescription seems way off. When called to adjust or check what's going on they want me to pay again for the exam. I notice this kind of bad behavior by the staff often times trickles down from the management. They're in the wrong business. Not want to deal with rude staff especially the ones in the frame selling area anymore. Luckily there are plenty of other options in the city. read more

12/10 would recommend. The office is very streamlined in how they manage the flow from form gathering, pre-testing, doctor visit, to the optical shop. There's little time spent just waiting and they are you receive is top notch. Dr. Trinh is extremely well versed in managing any eye issues and is an expert in dry eye. Excellent doctor. Thorough accommodating and the front office and staff are friendly polite and efficient. Dr Trinh is personable and cares about his patients and his costs are reasonable even with rising operating expenses with inflation. Area doctors know him and have nothing good to say about his practice. I know this because I took my elderly neighbor to the optometrist at Costco since I had to go shopping there anyways and they asked if I needed to schedule an eye exam as well. Brought my daughter in to have her eye looked at because she got sand in it at school - and several hours later it was still irritated and an angry looking red. The lovely woman who handles the schedule and Dr. Zabaleta made time to see my daughter that same afternoon. It's also worth mentioning that she (Dr. Zabaleta) is not only knowledgeable, but she's fantastic with kids (even a kid who is crying and asking when her eye is going to stop burning). She was able to keep my daughter calm, PUT DROPS IN HER EYE (my lil one was a hot mess when we arrived, so this impressed me), and finish the eye exams with no issue. She even explained everything to my daughter it terms she would understand. A+ I'm really happy with our experience and will come here for my own eye exams simply because the doctor is great and the woman working at the front desk was incredibly kind. KINDNESS, people! Their recheck policy is 60 days- after that, there's no help unless you pay again. My husband has gone through 3 pairs of progressives (not purchased at AEC) and still can't see clearly. They won't re-check his prescription without paying again. Also, charged my insurance for exams not done. Time to find a new optometrist! read more

I felt very taken care of and really appreciate how kind and thoughtful the staff has been. They've sent me text messages to check in on how I've been doing and I've always been able to get a hold of someone very quickly. I have had eye problems for years now and no other doctor has been able to help me like Dianna has. She cured my eye infection, fitted me for contacts and put me in new glasses. I have somewhat of a phobia of people touching my eyes and have always dreaded getting my eyes checked. However, Dianna was very patient and kind and made me feel at ease. I just had the most wonderful experience at this place. They are very helpful and friendly. A very caring staff. I highly recommend getting eye care here. I'm not even a patient here, but they worked with my eye doctor across the country to get me an emergency pair of lenses so I could drive myself back to the airport. Just no. Been coming here for years. They have you make your next appointment at your annual check up. Then as your appointment approaches, they text you to say "your tentative appointment has been canceled because our month has filled up." No, Candi it wasn't tentative. I had it down for 11:15 on that particular day for an entire year. I always feel rushed there anyway, and frankly dealing with Candi on the phone was lame. Totally rude. I cam in to see Dr. Trinh about my dry eye. He had a really cool imaging system that took pictures of my oil glands and could show me what could be the cause for my dry eye (aside from my 10 hours of daily computer usage). I've never written a yelp review on an optometrist.. so this says alot about him.. He is a cool guy and extremely honest.. He gave me a heads up on all possible aspects of my eyes I should worry about that my previous optometrists have never. He didn't go and try to have me overpay for products that I don't need. And at the end because they were having some promotion with a years supply of contacts he hooked it up with a free pair of sunglasses.. (I think that might have been a one time deal..) but seriously.. THE BEST experience i've ever had.. and I recommend him to anyone looking for an optometrist in the valley! Being friendly and attentive goes a long way but at the end of the day, when it comes to eye care you need to be spot on. Unfortunately, All EyeCare was far from spot on with both my computer and progressive bifocal glasses. I am not a big fan of the franchise optometrists like Lensecrafters, however I have used them in the past and for the most part I have been satisfied with the service. When I selected my benefits at my new company, I choose VSP. I did not research enough and found out that I could not use Lenscrafters for full benefits. So after searching around, I landed on All EyeCare. My first impression was great, good service, a thorough exam, and a decent selection of frames. However, after going through their frames, I choose a frame that would have to be ordered. The turn around was quoted at around 2 1/2 weeks for the progressives and much less for the computer glasses. I went ahead and purchased frames and lenses for my progressives, and just replacement lenses for my computer glasses. I received my computer glasses in less than a week, just about the same time my frames for my other glasses came in to their location. When I picked them up, they seemed way to strong. The next day at my workstation, I confirmed that they were too strong for me to see my 27in Mac Cinema display clearly. The Optometrist mentioned that he did not think I communicated my monitor distance correctly, however I am pretty sure I did. They agreed to take them back and re-due the lenses, and the second time around they were much better. When I got my progressives about 3 weeks after ordering them, I immediately noticed that one eye was off. The next day at work, I was not able to see the huge screen at our all staff clearly with one eye. It is also worth mentioning that I had to call to confirm that they were in, and did not realize that they closed early on Friday so when arriving at 5:15, they were closed. That particular week, they were closed on Saturday (not a holiday) so I would have to wait until Monday to get them. The Optometrist agreed to come in early (before 10:00am Wednesday) and re-check my eyes, and after checking, he said that one eye was a 1/4 off. First he said that the glasses could be adjusted to fix the range, however that did not work. I brought my original pair with me just in case I had to leave the new pair, however he said that they would order a brand new pair. That meant I would have to wait for the frames to be shipped to their location, then shipped to the VSP labs to get the lenses... Another 2 1/2 weeks. So after the next 2 1/2 weeks had passed, I called hoping to go pick them up and was told I would have to wait another 5 to 7 days. At this point I was fed up with waiting, had switched back to my original glasses and was ready for a refund! If they would have tried to put a rush on them to get them within the 5 days, I may have waited, however they did not seem to want to do that, and just wanted to give me the refund. That was fine, I guess... So I went to their location and got a refund and some movie tickets for my trouble.... Drove to Lenscrafters and ordered a slightly lesser version of the lenses I ordered from All EyeCare, and got my new glasses by noon the next day - Sunday (All EyeCare is closed). I am now out about $100 more because I had to go out of network, and I did not get quite the same advanced lenses, but it was worth it to be able to see clearly for the first time in many months. They will be great when I use the movie tickets!! The Dr. and the staff at All EyeCare was friendly and for the most part attentive, however they just did not hit the mark when it really mattered. read more

Dr. Trinh is the new doctor that took over this place and he is AWESOME. He gave me one of the most thorough exams I've ever had and he gave me some great advise on ways to improve my vision beyond just glasses and contacts. When I stepped into the optical there was no pushy sales pitch and I had all the time I needed to find the right glasses for myself (took me a bit longer since the wife wasn't with me...) They also seemed to have revamped their styles from the old & outdated stuff they used to carry. Dr.Trinh is an incredibly patient man. I have bad vision (-7.00, -5.00) and I came in for the first time for an eye exam. He gave me sample contacts to take home, and they ended up drying out my eyes (I'm sensitive, it's not his fault, I had requested that brand) and I came in for another pair. I also have astigmatism, so it's harder to have lenses suction on to my eyeballs. He gave me different solutions to try as well. After a few more back and forths, I was good to go! A couple weeks later, my coworker had pinkeye. I called Dr.Trinh, and he saw me for no charge. (I did not have pinkeye, I was simply paranoid since I've seen Knocked Up, and I don't want to look like that.) Very nice man, all the office staff are kind as well. read more

Friendly doctors and staff with modern technology and a great selection of frames. You have the option to have your eyes checked using the Optomap Retinal Screening Scan without having them dilated, which is a nice feature. Their office runs on time, and I've never had a problem with billing. I recommend them to my friends. read more

I thought I left a review the first time I went, but I don't see it. I actually came back to write ANOTHER one cause this place is so great. On my first visit I was checked for vision and new fit for contacts. Dr. Trinh is one of the nicest and most genuine doctors I have ever had. He was very patient in explaining what everything meant and I never felt uncomfortable asking him anything. When my contacts came in he said try them out for a week to make sure they feel right and then after we'll order them. Thank God! My left one bothered me like crazy and I didn't realize it until later! I came back and we tried a different brand/fit and these are great! I came back to pick up my contacts after ordering and the receptionist (I can't remember her name, but she's super nice) knew me by name right after I walked through the door. The staff is incredible here. They even made sure I turned in my rebate ($90!). It's like a small town feel the with availability, professionalism and style of a big business. They also have reasonable prices! I didn't have insurance so that was one of my major concerns. I'm so glad I found the best of both worlds! read more

The Grand Opening was bananas! Looks very promising! Update: Dr. Trinh and his staff are professional yet super friendly and they take the time to listen. It's rare to find this type of service these days when our expectations are always on a go. They explain everything thoroughly and have the most up to date equipment! Dr Stacy Hu has really good patient interaction with kids, able to engage, make comfortable and explain medical concepts in simple terms for children understanding of importance in eye care. Also patient to explain kids eye conditions to parents, a pleasure to see! read more
