The test came back quickly with no VOC and because it was such a quick result he didn't charge me. It is incredibly rare to find someone like Sam who truly cares about his clients rather than just make a quick buck. I highly recommend his services and will definitely use him again in the future, if needed. I felt guilty so i gave him $100, that is the least i could. Thanks again Sam!!

Gary Kellner was extremely helpful and professional in getting our rental unit lead inspected and…read moreguiding us through the abatement process. We had a complex situation with a former abatement with lost compliance certificate and he helped us navigate our options (interim control versus full compliance) and get everything compliant and squared away properly in the state databases, and he helped us get everything done as quickly as possible as we had tenants waiting. He patiently answered our many questions and was quick in responding to communication. He does both inspections and risk assessments.

Each time (but the last one, obviously), we had to call them and cancel the visit. Each time they were incredibly easy to reach despite one being at 7pm and another with less than 24 hours of notice! The voices on the end of the phone each time were sweet and caring and offered just the right amount of sympathy for the lost house every time we had to cancel. Finally, we didn't have to cancel! We've had the pleasure of working with Mike and Karen, and we talked to Mark a few times. Mike and Karen did the actual review and we couldn't be happier. They were on time (though we were not...) and immediately got to work taking pictures and taking notes. We had scheduled four hours for the inspection and we used every second. They both showed kindergarten-teacher level patience with us as we followed them around and tripped over our own feet asking questions. They walked us through everything and provided context to their points to make it easy to understand. I feel like I can actually read a boiler now! They answered questions we didn't even know we had. We expected the report the next day, but it arrived at 11:01pm that night. I'm not sure if that's always the case, but our house was in great condition, so there weren't a lot of things to elaborate on, but it was still a thorough 53 pages. Having that report and knowing exactly how each aspect was examined gave us the kind of confidence that we needed to buy our first house. I really can't express how pleased we were with our treatment and you can bet that when we buy our next home, if Hawkeye Home Inspections is still around (only because we don't plan on buying another home for a while), they'll be hearing from us again!

They are the lowest quality of inspection you can find. It was haphazardly rushed so the inspector could leave to meet up with his wife in NY that afternoon and we are paying the price. I have tried to work with the dishonest Mr. Male. He refuses to take any responsibility or offer any reasonable remed. He is also refusing to provide license #s. That in itself should tell you what type of business they run. They collect your money, show up and look around like it's an open house showing and then when there are issues they will deny all responsibility. Had they done a thorough inspection we would not be in this position. hell, if Mr Male could find a plumber capable of doing the repair he thinks is needed we would not be in this position.

Billy was SO accommodating and was able to come just two days after contacting him to do an inspection on my future home. He was so responsiveness immediately even before meeting him and throughout the whole inspection, he clearly and thoroughly explained what he was doing, looking for, why it was important and what it meant for me as a future homeowner. Any questions that I had, he answered openly, provided pros and cons and helped me think realistically about future projects, ROI and general impact. I truly cannot say enough incredible things about how helpful and educational he was, especially me being a first-time homebuyer. I am beyond grateful I picked him and you will be too! His pricing was extremely reasonable, under market value and he was so friendly and made the experience enjoyable and fun! We all had a really nice time learning from him and simply having his company. Will definitely be using him to consult on future projects. Thank you thank you thank you, Billy!

I rarely leave reviews, but Adrian and his crew were absolutely fantastic. They took down our…read moreasbestos siding on our big old 2-family in no time at all. Their communication was great, their crew was a well-oiled machine, at no point did I get the impression they were cutting corners on safety, and they left the site spotless. They dealt with a very difficult section of material over a sunroom with no complaints, and they worked well with our neighbors and our shared driveway. My tenants were happy, too. And even though I don't usually go with the low bidder, they were 20% less than the other quote I got and seemed easier to work with. I only wish they did construction, because I'd hire them again in a minute if I had the chance.

I don't have enough words to say how amazing Adrian and his team were. But I'll add one more voice…read moreto repeat all the glowing reviews here and on Homeadvisor -- as many others have said, Adrian was timely, communicative, incredibly professional, and all-around pleasant to work with. We were in the middle of a big renovation and because of our poor planning, we didn't do an asbestos test on our ceilings until after the kitchen had already been half-completed. When the asbestos test came back positive, we put everything on hold and had to scramble to find somebody who could competently remove the popcorn ceilings. Since the popcorn had been sprayed directly onto the concrete ceilings, it would have to be manually scraped off, and the first contractors we interviewed quoted us almost $18000! Adrian is licensed and after a quick inspection he gave us a very reasonable quote for a third of the price. We checked his license number on the public record of Massachusetts asbestos projects (https://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/portal#!/search/asbestos) and everything checked out; he's worked on lots of projects in Massachusetts and his reviews were excellent, so we decided to hire him. Since we were evacuating the apartment anyway, we also asked him to do some odd jobs he was here -- a new paint job, new vent fans and lights for the bathrooms, and repairing some damaged walls. His team did a great job and left the space very clean and looking like new. During the project he sent regular updates (with pictures!) over text, to let us know how things were progressing. While he was replacing one of the bathroom vents, he found out that there was not enough space in the wall for the new vent we had purchased. He texted me right away and after we discussed a few options, he figured out a way to rearrange things so that the vent would fit in a different spot in the bathroom. In general, it was super easy to get in touch with Adrian if we had any questions or requests -- he responded to texts and emails within a few hours, if not immediately. He was also very prompt in sending all the city paperwork, licensing, and insurance information that the building's homeowner association and management company needed to approve the project. When my family found out about the asbestos we were incredibly stressed about managing and paying for the abatement, and Adrian really made the entire project as simple as possible. All we had to do was tell him what we needed and he got everything done, within our budget. We evacuated the apartment and came back in a week when Adrian was done, exactly on schedule. All in all Adrian was a pleasure to work with and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anybody looking for a competent, punctual, professional, and reasonably-priced asbestos abatement.
