We were in the middle of a big renovation and because of our poor planning, we didn't do an asbestos test on our ceilings until after the kitchen had already been half-completed. When the asbestos test came back positive, we put everything on hold and had to scramble to find somebody who could competently remove the popcorn ceilings. Since the popcorn had been sprayed directly onto the concrete ceilings, it would have to be manually scraped off, and the first contractors we interviewed quoted us almost $18000! Adrian is licensed and after a quick inspection he gave us a very reasonable quote for a third of the price. We checked his license number on the public record of Massachusetts asbestos projects (https://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/portal#!/search/asbestos) and everything checked out; he's worked on lots of projects in Massachusetts and his reviews were excellent, so we decided to hire him. Since we were evacuating the apartment anyway, we also asked him to do some odd jobs he was here -- a new paint job, new vent fans and lights for the bathrooms, and repairing some damaged walls. His team did a great job and left the space very clean and looking like new. During the project he sent regular updates (with pictures!) over text, to let us know how things were progressing. While he was replacing one of the bathroom vents, he found out that there was not enough space in the wall for the new vent we had purchased. He texted me right away and after we discussed a few options, he figured out a way to rearrange things so that the vent would fit in a different spot in the bathroom. In general, it was super easy to get in touch with Adrian if we had any questions or requests -- he responded to texts and emails within a few hours, if not immediately. He was also very prompt in sending all the city paperwork, licensing, and insurance information that the building's homeowner association and management company needed to approve the project. When my family found out about the asbestos we were incredibly stressed about managing and paying for the abatement, and Adrian really made the entire project as simple as possible. All we had to do was tell him what we needed and he got everything done, within our budget. We evacuated the apartment and came back in a week when Adrian was done, exactly on schedule. All in all Adrian was a pleasure to work with and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anybody looking for a competent, punctual, professional, and reasonably-priced asbestos abatement.

A place that charges premium prices for their inspections, which are below average at best. After…read moregetting settled into our new home, we started noticing a bunch of things that were missed. We reached out to the company and their response is that "even though these are glaring issues, they don't require noting because they are beyond the scope of what they are required to list." I'm paraphrasing but that was the gist. Examples are trim around the garage doors that were eaten away, bathtub seals missing, and other things. Their guarantee is also a bit odd - you can't request a refund post inspection if you notice things, you have to request a change of inspector AT THE INSPECTION otherwise their guarantee doesn't apply. Effectively if you don't like the inspection while it's happening, then you can trigger their "guarantee". When I requested a refund, they wanted me to sign a release just to get not even half of my money back. Would not recommend this company.

Just closed on a home last January 2018. We had utilized this company on another home too - where…read morethe seller wasn't willing to do what needed to be done. We assumed (but were sadly wrong) that when they employed "licensed" professionals that you would get a good home inspection since these inspectors would know current codes. We just put our home on the market to find that what this company's home inspector did was over look a major code violation as MA law states the fuel line can't be buried underneath the cement which the inspector we utilized had taken pictures of the new boiler from the seller and we have the inspection where he doesn't even note that code violation or any problems of the like. Now I have to pay in upwards of 800-1000 to get this rectified before we sell. We had put a call in for our money back for the home inspection price (that is the same guy we used for another home) so we trusted him & he missed this code violation on the current home - as if we knew back then this was an issue (we trusted their inspector- obviously a big mistake) we could have avoided buying said house. If the owner of this company doesn't want to reimburse for this blatant mistake to other home inspectors then my husband will go to the licensing board and attorney generals office. Just be advised we thought this company was good too, until you find out that you were lied to and a major code violation was overlooked. This is why we pay inspectors. Now we're stuck paying for a big mistake this company missed. Well why would you need pictures- if you aren't supposed to check it anyway? Giving your own inspector and company two home inspections and not once were we told until AFTER you do the home inspection in the end of the report that you copied and pasted - that this isn't something you have to do or check. This is after we already pay for inspections. Funny thing is - other home inspectors we've spoken to -said that's complete nonsense on your company's part. Ethically you would know what's right. Don't play it off to cover yourself - that you are willing to work with us -as your admin Sarah stated after looking at the pictures (that supposedly you don't care about anyway -but asked for them knowing you weren't going to do anything bc you don't deal with this sort of "stuff") - that you think there was a protective coating- which there was not. They needed to be sleeved. Your clarification and willing to work with us (laughable and ALSO a LIE) - was shown when your last email from Sarah stated "after staff overview you don't deal with this." With the same nonsense excuse verbatim that you wrote here. You knew what was going on and could have reached out personally - you didn't. Hopefully others know that if there are code violations and the town doesn't pick it up then don't expect to waste your money thinking this place will either. I contacted AirCare for mold-related air testing. They were responsive at first and came out to…read moretest five rooms. However, on the day I was supposed to receive the results, I heard nothing. When I called the office, they told me the results had been ready since the previous day, but the technician never followed up. They emailed the report, which showed elevated mold levels in several rooms. I reached out to the technician, who apologized and said he had been busy. We scheduled a time for him to return the following Monday to inspect the affected areas and provide a remediation quote. He didn't show up. When I called, he said he had forgotten to notify the office about our appointment, so he wasn't reminded. We rescheduled for the next day, and he did come, identified the mold source, and sent a quote promptly. The quote, however, lacked detail, listed two different total prices, and didn't clearly explain the scope of work. After discussing it, he agreed to revise the pricing and add the missing details. The updated quote arrived, but nothing had been corrected. When I contacted him again, he said they had accidentally sent the old version and would revise it, but they were "swamped." I never heard back. I then contacted All Dry Services of South Shore & Cape Cod. They inspected the property, provided an extremely detailed quote, and completed the remediation today. Their team was professional, thorough, and personable. The work was done cleanly, and the area was left properly sealed with negative air pressure. I feel confident the mold issue has been resolved. I have air-quality testing scheduled for tomorrow, and if anything shows up, they will return--but based on the quality of their work, I doubt that will be necessary.

My home insurance company is also deeply disappointed with AirCare and said they will never work with AirCare again in the future.
