We had the worst experience working with this company. The manager, Kevin is a fast talking…read moresalesman and very disrespectful to his staff. As a homeowner, we trusted that they would abate our asbestos safely and follow proper protocol. After they finished the job, our electrician discovered that they left large quantities vermiculite in the attic and wall cavities and purposely stuffed fiberglass insulation over the vermiculite to intentionally hide it from the inspectors. These areas were easily accessible to their workers and could be reached by their equipment (and easily visible to our electrician). They lied and said the vermiculite was removed from these areas. I suspect that his workers had been trained to purposely cut corners to save time and hide their incomplete work. This was a shocking discovery. They put our health and that of our contractors in great jeopardy by leaving this cancerous material so easily accessible. When I called to have them come back to fix the problem and finish the job, fortunately they did return. However, then we had to witness Kevin yell at his workers, blaming and shaming them for the problem. It was completely inappropriate and a bit staged. I will never work with them again, and would never recommend them.

Allied Wrecking Boston made a difficult process much easier. They handled the demolition of my garage, cleaned up the entire area, and did an excellent job from beginning to end. They were professional, responsive, thorough, and respectful of the situation I was dealing with. One thing that really stood out to me was that they even pulled the necessary permit for the demolition, which was one less thing I had to worry about during an already overwhelming time. The quality of their work and their willingness to take care of the details really made a difference. They showed up, did what they said they would do, and left the property clean and ready for the next step. I would absolutely recommend Allied Wrecking Boston to anyone who needs demolition, fire cleanup, or similar services. When something unexpected happens, having a company you can trust makes all the difference. I'm genuinely grateful for the job they did.

And then massively padded the bill...and most of it my insurance wouldn't reimburse me for! Dave Crowley was recommended to me by a person I trusted while I was struggling with this other company. I fired the first company and hired Dave. He and his son and his crew were fantastic all the way through! They came immediately and tested for moisture, evaluated what needed doing, pulled out the fridge so the floor and wall behind could dry, etc. Dave spoke to that bad company's representative and to my insurance adjuster for me and with me. He generously sent a lot of time and energy helping me with my insurance adjusters toward resolving these and other issues, which they ultimately did. (I believe my insurance adjusters would have made a much smaller settlement without Dave's intervention, and without his advice, help, and support in what to communicate to them.) Regarding the work, he went over with me carefully everything that needed doing to remediate the flood damage, and why. He listened to and was immediately responsive to my concerns around my chemical sensitivities, and gave inspired practical ideas for restoring my kitchen without aggravating them. He was also here every day checking the work. Dave found affordable cabinets for me that were less likely to off-gas...and which did work out great! He recommended the store where I found affordable ceramic tile for the floor, and which his team expertly installed. All the work was done on schedule. Everyone who came took care and pride in their work. I give Dave Crowley Services my highest recommendation.
