Disappointed that they canceled our event 7 days prior to the event due to one of the chefs getting covid. They state they are all vaxd but in email said they said to cancel 2 weeks worth of bookings. Per policies if vaxd only 5 days of isolation is required not 14 days. They didn't even give a backup option, there was no choice in the matter they just canceled and refunded the money leaving us scrambling on an event that had been planned for months. The day before canceling they had just confirmed everything as well. This left us with no food for our event and no option for us to do anything at the last minute as everything on Cape has been booked for months. Very disappointing and quite frankly for a chef "service" to not have a backup plan especially 3 years into covid is ridiculous. While we have no doubt the food would be great, the last minute organization of how it was handled was a major disappointment. *** Updated to add that they continued to have events that week and the weekend of our scheduled now canceled event as evidenced by social media posts and after speaking with some of the other customers who were allowed to have their events that weekend and they were never told about the chef having "covid". Their backup chef on staff also continued to post on social media and was quite evidently not quarantined. read more
