I recently recovered from pneumonia so I havent been in any stores. I'm a bad asthmatic. I ordered from Walmart grocery in Wareham and was going to do pick up and they cancelled my order last minute. I understand, its Easter weekend. But I had no food for my family today. So I got a mask, plastic bags, and figured I'd see which places were busy or if they were all jammed. I decided to "drive by" Roche's because I heard they deep cleaned every night. It didn't look crazy. They seemed to have a lot of their produce outside, which was nice. People were trying to follow the arrows inside the stores and most had masks. The store was spotless. The inventory was pretty good, considering we're in the middle of a pandemic. There was even toilet paper which I didn't need, but was nice to see on the shelves for future reference, lol. I guess what impressed me most was the staff. Even in all this, twenty minutes before close, they were friendly and efficient. The girl wiped down her station thoroughly before each order and was so personable and friendly. When the bagger found one of my items packaging had an opening, he let me know and happily went off to grab a new one. I can't even imagine the stress of working in a grocery store right now. They were great. I went in extremely stressed and nervous and the store was set up in a way I felt safe shopping there. (I still wore mask and gloves). I figured I'd let people know, particularly elderly people that while some stores seem to be out of control, it looks like Roche's is really going above and beyond. read more

My wife treated us to two Saint Paddys corn beef and cabbage dinners, she paid $30.00 for my dinner and my sons. she shops there when in that area, lately same problem. Big disappointment. Extremely high prices, average quality food. Taking dinner back, they have supposedly good customer service. The store clean and lovely, help great, need to work on their cost out the door meals. This not first time, first time i am taking it back for a refund. I will put 15.00 in my gas tank, retired. read more

Clean well stocked store. Hit this place up twice while on a mini vacation in Mashpee. The produce is very fresh. Awesome corn on the cob. Parsley was great. Good meat and seafood selection. Minus one star for lack of beer and wine and....on the second day I brought my plastic bags back to reuse. While they accommodated me there were two bags left which they asked me to throw out. The young girl working customer service was so rude. I stood in line for 10 minutes while she was on the phone and once she got off the phone she looked at me, rolled her eyes and walked away. I continued to wait while she checked her phone. A coworker came up to the desk and she stood and whispered for about 2 minutes before asking what I needed. This morning we stopped in at Roche Brothers to purchase some food for our breakfast, and thought that the store was good. The meat quality was phenomenal, and they had a great selection of produce and dairy. The bakery items were great as well, and they had a ton of sugar free options. The overall food quality is great but the only issue was that the fruits were either overly ripe or "green". We purchased some strawberries and the ones in the center of the container were beginning to spoil, while the melon and kiwis we bought were green. The staff was great as well but the prices of the items in the store were overpriced in comparison to some of the other grocery stores in the area. The best part of this grocery store has to be their floral section. Audra who runs the floral department is incredible and we thoroughly loved the arrangements she made for our family member in the hospital. read more

Honestly hate this store. Rarely you'll get 1 good employee. The rest are to busy socializing with each other. The managers are extremely rude. I reported 1 to corporate for being racist towards those with disabilities. Shocked he's still there. Only good thing is the pre made food. Though it's way over priced. We ordered a complete Thanksgiving dinner and we will do it every year! The turkey was the moistest we have ever had. It was easy to order. It included everything we needed and everything was delicious. I was concerned when we went to pick up the order and it was so crowded with others who ordered also. Let me start by saying I am not a Roche Bros fan. Most of the stores I find to be overpriced and the supposed "quality" and "service" this difference warrants subtle and/or not relevant to the grocery store experience. However, this location in Mashpee is fantastic. Super clean and vibrant interior, fresh "to-go" food like hot chicken, mac and cheese all the regulars but by far of a higher level of taste than the average Boston area R. Bros. Liquor sold not in store but there is fairly new, medium sized liquor/wine/beer store within the same shopping plaza. Great parking. Excellent sushi! read more

Great grocery store out here on the Cape. I've been to Stop & Shop one too many times when visiting, and Roche Bros is like a pleasant - almost pleasurable - slap in the face...in comparison. It's sort of what Whole Foods would be if there was a Whole Foods on the Cape (is there? I dunno). Anyway Roche Bros has all the good stuff, and the random extras, and a good meat section and a decent seafood section (LOBSTERS WERE $4.95/LB TODAY. NO JOKE). So Thanksgiving is sort of a big deal for my family, it's the only big family holiday we really have and it's all organized around mom's parents' place. As it's sort of becoming legend, the size of the party keeps growing. My step-father (Stan) found himself having this exchange on our recent trip to Roche Bros: (Lady eyeing his like 20 lbs of sweet potatoes) L: how...how many people are you feeding!? S: oh...40 L: are you...a family, or an organization? We're not sure either, but the lawyers in the family* tell us that if this keeps up we'll need to incorporate. *Just kidding, all the lawyers got divorced out of the family...including my dad. *tear* read more

1 star for catering. They were not helpful in planning, over sold us for the event and number of people we had and delivered luke-warm food. I had tons of food left that I had to throw away. Also got beef that was cold and while on a platter, all the fat that wasn't trimmed was covered by a pile of lettuce. It wasn't an attractive display. They gave us a rebate on that. I will not use them or recommend them for catering again. The grocery store is fine. read more

I come to this Roche Brothers location regularly for lunch. I have never done groceries here but I notice the prices are quite high but the produce always looks very fresh and the grocery selection is big. I will review the lunch selection only. For lunch, I recommend their soups, especially the chicken and dumplings. The soups always taste homemade (not sure if they actually are) and are filling. I also recommend their pre-packaged kale and tofu salad. It's amazing; filling, healthy and inventive. I was able to get it all the time in the summer but it doesn't look like it's available in the Cape Cod off season, although I will keep checking. The hot foods bar is usually a miss; I've had steamed broccoli that basically became mush in my mouth (gross!) and really dry chicken that could only be remedy by a boat-load of gravy. The packaged sandwiches are mediocre but may be improved if you are able to heat it up in a toaster oven. Next thing I plan to try is their deli section which looks like it has a good selection of cold pasta salads and veggies. One more thing, grab some cookies from their cookie bar! I don't know about other locations, but these guys seem to have good quality food, and the prices are comparable to other local options. There is a new campaign of Massachusetts-local products that I think is a great new addition. They do a good job at sampling, and their store brands are very tasty. The other day they had their own clam chowder out against Legal Seafoods, and it was totally able to hold its own! They also do really nice holiday programs for the kids, like the upcoming easter egg hunt in the store. My nephews are so excited to see if they will find the Golden Egg and win a prize. read more

I can't say enough great things about Roche Brothers in Mashpee. The store is always clean in the isles are always stocked. I love the way that the store is organized and laid out. The associates are always friendly and willing to help me. My favorite items at Roche Brothers in Mashpee are the red velvet cake, the instant rice, and the fresh salads. Also highly recommend the Roche brothers brand American cheese. The baggers are very professional and always ask if I want to use my own bag or a brown paper bag, and I like that. read more

But No the muffins were stale, when i normally eat muffins it makes me very happy inside but not Roche Brothers Muffins. I am a local and typically prefer Stop and Shop; but the selection of pre-made foods and meat counter is far superior here. However, you will pay more; but that's OK in this instance. What is not OK is the service. Don't bother going to the deli counter - horrible service (the kids are too busy talking to each other to wait on you); and the check-out is something that needs to be remedied as well. Kids (all under 19) are soooo busy talking to each other, that they literally do not acknowledge you, nor look you in the face, and then hand you a receipt (without looking at you), while STILL talking to their co-workers. That is so rude. You want my business, Roche Bros.? Well, my suggestion to you is that you train your staff about customer service. It's the locals that help you make it past the summer season. The produce is excellent fresh with lots of organic options. Their bakery is very good as well. There strawberry shortcake is very good, they make their homemade whip cream with buttery pound cake. There's also a Starbucks inside. The draw backs are if your looking for a particular "brand" that most people don't use of something they may not have it, for example they may not have every brand of mayo that's out there but they have the popular ones and some gourmet ones. read more

I just have to let everyone know about my experience with the Catering staff, food and delivery. First, I was just back in the States only a few day and my sleep pattern was way off. I was up one morning in the 4 am area and decided to get going on ordering for our daughters graduation party. Mind you this is only "3" days before event. So I order what I think we would need. Well, at 9:00 am I get a call from the catering department and she (I forget her name ) just wants to go over the details of the party. She recommends a few changes based on the information and we agree it's all set. Well I had 60 people in for an evening graduation party and she was spot on! I am very impressed with this market. It is a unique combination of Whole Foods and Shaw's. Prices vary but do not seem to be grossly overpriced. I like the selection and presentation of produce and baked goods; there is a nice flower/ plant selection too. If you use your own recyclable bags the market offers the option of donating your rebate to Boston Children's Hospital. In addition, the location is conveniently located. read more

If you prefer to shop in a smallish, efficient grocery store then this is a pleasant alternative to the giant supermarket around the corner. As with anything there are pros and cons, and because I enjoy the smaller size I understand that there are tradeoffs in the amount and variety of the items on stock. That said, there are only one or two items that I go elsewhere to buy. I always have good experiences shopping here. The meat department is outstanding offering the highest quality around and the staff even special ordered for me. I find the deli personnel and the cashiers extremely personable. read more

If I lived in this area this is where I would shop. Vacation here and always been pleased with service and quality of the food. I'm use to Dave's and Whole Foods at home and would put RB'S in that level. I wouldn't compare them to a Stop & Shop because there overall quality is better and and I don't find there prices to be crazy like Whole Foods. We met with Audrey, the florist at Roche Bros in Mashpee, as they are providing the flowers for my upcoming wedding. Audrey was so professional, caring, and genuinely cared about the flowers and our choices. She sat with us for over 30 minutes to review the contract and even gave a flower and bought a chocolate milk for my niece who was there with me. We have dealt with a lot of vendors in the wedding planning process and Audrey was the first person who seemed to genuinely care about our big day and was excited about providing a service for us. She provided excellent, top notch customer service. Would highly recommend Audrey at Roche Bros florist for any event. read more
