But I have to give a bonus star for being the only Stop & Shop I'm aware of which offers the stronger, thicker EcoLoop reusable "plastic" bags for free. Will the 10¢ per break your bank if called for? No, but it's nice to know some branches of the big grocer are eating the cost as a direct result of customer feedback. Staff very helpful and well trained. Problem is with handicapped electric shopping carts. Problem is a continuous one that has extended for years. Last four times shopping have ended up stranded at back of store with electric carts that went dead or decided only to go into reverse. I have complained about this issue on multiple occasions but no solution has been forthcoming. read more

This is the BEST Stop n shop on the planet! They have great "extras" that other SnS don't have: you can almost every baked good WITHOUT sugar icing, etc on top, just a good doughnut or muffin w/o the sugar goo! The self check is fast and using the gun w your card gives you all kinds of extras, and they know how to check you out in a flash! Not sure why everybody doesn't use the gun? You guys are pieces of garbage to good people that get manipulated by your system. You make your younger workers cry and have panic attacks, Your management is one of the worst management groups I've ever seen in my life (Mostly Jim and Nicks fault), Your Union claims to be there for the workers but don't do anything when things go south, And your prices are ridiculously high for low quality product. People do me a favor go to Market Basket and STOP giving money to this extremely poor company. I've been a worker and a customer at this very specific store and have seen how it is there. But one thing everybody I talked to can agree on is they can't wait to leave, because it's Hostile and Petty. Y'all suck, especially Your management team there that runs the show. Jim you're a grown adult that acts like a child that can't grow hair. And Nick you can be good but have to answer to the big child you call a manager. The store is broken and there is no way to fix it ... We would drive 20 miles out of our way other than shop at this Stop and Shop .... They seem to be using a dysfunctional Apple Store model as a guide... way overpriced groceries with a discount digital system that never works compounded by apathetic cashiers who don't understand the system and rely on management to fix constant overcharges... unemployable 20 somethings standing around doing as little as possible... worst grocery chain ever... Please go out of business or close so we can get a better option... this store is awful. read more

I hate this store but use it because it is close. Several issues. They seem to keep freezers at a slightly higher temp than most stores so the ice cream always has the texture old ice cream gets when it gets soft and then re-freezes over and over again. Also selection and price is not as good as the Stop and shop. A few miles down the road in Mashpee. I use this place as a convenience store and Mashpee for larger orders. read more

I shop at this Marstons Mills store at least twice a week. It is always clean and organized. I appreciate that it's regularly stocked with fresh produce and meats and everything I need for my home. Everyone that works there is great, really helpful and good at their jobs. I highly recommend this grocery store. read more

It's Stop n Shop, you get what you pay for. You can create gourmet quality dishes with what they sell, if you know how to cook. But for the snob inside go to Trader Joe's or find a Whole Foods. read more

The bakery manager is a phenomenal cake decorator and a really nice and kind person. She is a "PROFESSIONAL" in all sense of the word.

While visiting family on Cape, we needed to pick up some quick groceries as well as a quick meal, so we decided to stop at this Stop & Shop store. The store itself is easily accessed from Rt. 28 which was a plus, but the parking was a bit of a mess. The store itself was well stocked, but the staff wasn't very helpful when we asked where certain products were. At one point we asked if there was a salad bar, we got a yes, and after being directed to where it should have been, there wasn't one in the store. This was a bit frustrating but not a huge issue. In the end we found some items for dinner and we picked up some prepackaged salads and called it a day. The prices here were the same as other Stop and Shops and ultimately we got what we needed. We would totally come back, but only if we couldn't make it to Market Basket. read more

Several of the Deli dept employees look like homeless people - with long, large unkempt beards. Truly disgusting. Not one EVER wears a beard-hair net-We we just cannot allow handling our food. This particular Stop and Shop has a robot that is designed to clean the floor. It takes its instructions from a pre programmed announcement over the store intercom. The announcement is played over and over and over while you are shopping. It was very annoying and ground on my nerves. Made my shopping experience very unpleasant. If this continues I will be shopping elsewhere. read more

Just returned to this S&S of my childhood...simply wanted to find jam. I asked four different employees before I found it. First took a while to say "I don't know. I'll find someone for you"... But never came back. Second one said "I've no idea. But check the cheat sheet" I did, but neither jam nor preserves not jelly were on it. Third one just shook his head, looking away and finally said "dunno" and went back to his task. Fourth one was in the bakery and was NOT pleased to be asked. She said "did you check the cheat sheet?" I said yes, I'd not found it. She retorted "peanut butter wasn't on there!!? It's gonna be with the peanut butter...". Great, thank you I'll look, said I, but she barged past me to look for herself. I follow her, she points to it on the chart, I lean in a bit to see what she is pointing at and she YELLS (not politely) "SIX FEET!!! I DONT WANT MY KIDS RO GET COVID!!!" Mind you, we both have masks on, and while she was correct that I was only 4 feet from her - my mistake (bit an honest one as she had just pointed to the item she was showing me on a list)... I think she could have said it in a more polite way. Point is, I have never experienced SO MANY people in one store with absolutely NO customer service skills (or even normal decency). Stop & Shop, I'm sad you've fallen to this. I will say there were two gals at the checkout who were absolutely splendid and made up for the rude ones double fold. But still. The four others should not have happened. BTW, in this store, you'll find jam by seeking peanut butter. read more

No store this large can be perfect. But I always like this store more than the others in the Mid Cape area because it has the most room to move around. Some other stores are very tight making it awkward to try to move around other people, and annoying if you are in a rush. This one has a great feel and has been pleasantly consistent since it opened. Never had a major problem, and I'm grateful for it's location as well. read more

Visiting some family on Cape Cod, we stopped here to buy some staples for the weekend. Friday at 8:30 PM, we go in and my wife points out that there are 4 "kids" who are "working", playing at the service desk, and behind it, some kid is hiding in a blue bucket on the floor, "like we once stuffed 14 in a Volkswagen". As we grabbed what we needed, I kept seeing items that needed to be "policed", items that people had selected and just put wherever, when they decided they didn't want it. Why weren't these children putting this stuff away? What were these children thinking? This is a job! We get to the checkout, and the only people we found working were a mature Asian gentleman and the boy bagging for him. It was still recess at the service desk, chatting and dancing around. The gentleman, happy to have a job, was clearly disturbed by the lazy kids, but he kept people going through the line and spending money. Who is managing these "employees"? Not Stop & Shop They are clearly "entitled" to this work.............. read more

Stop&Shop is a New England chain of groceries. They tend to get crowded, especially during the holidays. The service is friendly and they have good prices. They carry plenty of local products like potato chips from Hyannis, and dairy products from Maine, along with Vermont maple syrups. For Westerners, the "carriages" are shopping carts. And you can't picnic on speed tables. The lot&the grocery store can be chaotic at peak times. read more

While preparing for a family meal we decided to drop into Stop & Shop. The problem came with check out. There was no bagger present and the guy overseeing things didn't seem to care. When I made a comment on this the girl checking out rolled her eyes and got a bagger. Perhaps she wanted me to do her job? In addition the place is freezing cold, far colder than it needs to be to preserve food. They seem understaffed and have a bad attitude. I also saw figs for sale that were rotten and had white mold growing on them. Yuck. I mentioned it to an employee who removed them but made no attempt at thanking me for the catch. So I'm left with a poor impression of this place and don't recommend it until they improve things. read more

Stop in before work to pickup some daytime cold medicine. One register open with a line and self checkouts. So I went to the self checkout. I couldn't pay because someone had to verify my age. Not a big deal. Well Management was too busy having a personal conversation to help out. The poor lonely cashier made his line wait while he tried to call someone to help from the service desk. At that point I had been waiting 15 minutes. I had to get to work. The self checkouts should not be open if there's no one up front that can manage them! read more

Once again I buy food on Friday and open it on Sat to cook it and it is spoiled! This has happened sooooo many times it is maddening!! I try the Mashpee store and get the same thing, obviously it is a Stop and Shop problem and not a location issue. I work hard to put food on the table for my family and can't afford to waste money. wow! the pass word i guess. isn't it nice to see wow on a price tag that says look at this low price. the tag it is attached to is the same price and is higher than it was before the beginning of summer. example: you could get 2 12 pack of 8 oz bottles of poland spring bottled water for $5.00. after may the price for one 12 pack became $2.99. wow! as a year round customer on limited income i feel it is a slap in the face. when i spoke to employees, managers, the answer is we do not control the prices, i can understand that. the store is very convenient and i shop there everyday and have a lot of respect for the staff. it is the management of the company who seem to have little regard for their steady every day customers. read more
