More than just a cake, magic!

The bakery went above any beyond for my daughters birthday! We called in a custom cake a few days prior to our arrival. Due to Covid we had minimal expectations since not all stores, businesses etc are 100% back up and running full service. I asked for a chocolate cake, white icing and told them my 4 year old likes rainbow and unicorns, so whatever they could do. She was floored at what a beautiful cake she got, and we were all amazed. Thank you to the bakery dept for doing your best for her! I should also mention the gentleman we spoke to when we called was very kind and patient on the phone. It's nice to know he so thoughtfully listened when I called.

Dumb, to many international workers who don't know what their doing. Just get your food at The local farm or katama General

The location in Edgartown is much nicer than its Vineyard Haven counterpart. Nice selection of cheeses, breads and produce.

While I've honestly never purchased any food from here, there do have some good beach picnic stuff like chips and snacks and what not, but the real draw is the liquor. While beer and wine are great, the spirits selection is a bit slim -they only had one type of rye available, and there's more rum than anything else. The prices are slightly higher, of course, than anything off-island, but compared to other liquor stores on MV, they're on-par. The parking lot has ample space, so you're usually able to find a spot, but seeing as it's right in the dreaded Edgartown Traffic Triangle, getting in and out in the summer months can be a bitch!

This place was super busy on a Saturday in July - literally a line to pay - but staff members were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. This place is truly a one-stop shop if you need to stock up for a party!

This one is on the way to Provincetown, so it was an easy stop. Trader Joe's is headquartered in Monrovia, California. The chain has over 530 stores across the United States. Trader Joe's is named after its founder, Joe Coulombe. The company began in 1958 as a Greater Los Angeles area chain known as Pronto Market convenience stores. Coulombe felt the original Pronto Markets were too similar to 7-Eleven, which he described as the "800-pound gorilla of convenience stores", concerned the competition would be too much. Coulombe developed the idea of the Trader Joe's South Seas motif while on vacation in the Caribbean. The Tiki culture craze was still widespread in the United States in the 1960s, so in a direct nod to the fad, the Trader Joe's name itself was a spoof on Trader Vic's, the famous tiki-themed restaurant that had opened its first location in the Beverly Hilton in 1955. Trader Vic's in Beverly Hills was notoriously expensive to eat at, but Trader Joe's in Pasadena would provide an irreverent and less expensive offering of food and drink. In years past, BusinessWeek reported that the company had the highest sales per square foot of any grocer in the United States. Fortune magazine estimates sales to be $1,750 in merchandise per square foot, more than double the sales generated by Whole Foods. Great prices, great quality, great customer service.
