They've never stepped back and gone above the quote. COI paperwork and master plumber licensing is provided expediently, make sure you request it when booking them if your building needs it - this can create a delay in scheduling if you forget since they need to get their insurance company to issue the COI. Thirty days are given for full payment, making emergency work so much easier to manage, and they take credit cards. God help me, I hope I don't need plumbing repairs this year, but if I do I'll definitely be calling them again.

I had paid prior (never do this) and Eddie said they would refund me the $408 dollars on the work order right away. Contacted him recently when I realized my CC had not been credited. He said he would send me a check the next day. This was 4/22, I still don't have it and he isn't responding to my text. Lesson learned, pay at the end and make sure the billed amount is correct. we had a very slow draining outdoor pipe that almost caused our basement to flood about a month…read moreago. we contacted numerous companies and had it snaked, only for the problem to reoccur. i found victor sewer and drain on google and the excellent reviews intrigued me, so we called them up. eddie and gus came the same day and hydro-jetted our pipe AFTER they pulled out a plastic bottle that was logged in our basement pipe trap. all of the other plumbers that we called didn't even think to check the trap since the cap was rusted shut. eddie and gus sawed it off and found the culprit (hopefully). thank the lord above b/c it rained like a bastard after they left and our drain worked like a champ. i hope to never see these guys again, but am thankful we found them.

He said that it would be too dangerous to try and re-light the pilot light of the 5 year old water heater and that it would be safer for me to hire him to dispose of the old one, pick up and install a new one. The other plumber actually laughed out loud when I told him the estimate that Adam gave me. He could not believe that I was given an estimate of $1900 for labor to install a 50 gallon water heater that cost about $750. Always comparison shop, ALWAYS. I needed multiple plumbing issues addressed in a Sheepshead Bay co-op: * replacement kitchen faucet installation * correction/replacement of under-sink piping (brass trap & waste bends) in bathroom and kitchen * shower trim/valve compatibility work Unlike several other plumbers I contacted, Joe was fully prepared to handle co-op requirements, including providing a COI (Certificate of Insurance) with the necessary coverage levels. If you live in a NYC co-op, you already know how huge that is! A few things I especially appreciated: * They stayed within their original estimated range (~$1900-2400), even though the project required a second visit after we discovered my older Kohler valve needed a retrofit adapter that no longer ships with current trim kits. * Communication was responsive and straightforward. * They clearly knew their way around older NYC plumbing situations and co-op logistics. * They accommodated the work during boiler/heating season (October), when many plumbers were either fully booked or unwilling to deal with co-op paperwork at all. One useful lesson for other co-op owners: if possible, bundle multiple plumbing issues into one project. The insurance/admin overhead for co-op work is real, and combining repairs makes the job much more practical for everyone involved.
