After a flood from tropical storm Ida, my water heater stopped working. I took pictures of it and sent them to Adam. He said that it would be too dangerous to try and re-light the pilot light of the 5 year old water heater and that it would be safer for me to hire him to dispose of the old one, pick up and install a new one. He gave me a quote of $2600. Another plumber referred by a friend came and took a look after and safely assessed that the water heater was still working and safe to use and he re-lit the pilot light for me for $75. The other plumber actually laughed out loud when I told him the estimate that Adam gave me. He could not believe that I was given an estimate of $1900 for labor to install a 50 gallon water heater that cost about $750. Always comparison shop, ALWAYS. No really, ***ALWAYS!!!*** Especially women and most especially Women of Color. So tired of a certain men thinking that they can try to scare and take financial advantage of a certain women. read more

If you happen to call them and are reading this review do not believe them when they tell you need to Hydo jet a clooged drain!! Basic plumbing rules call to snake a clogged drain first! We were scammed $3500 for a $500 job an honest plumber did the next day.. .. the low level scam they pulled makes me think the other reviews they have are not real, Look at them close and the dates... My kitchen sink was clogged up for a few days. Shopped around and found A&B, chose them because of their timely response to my questions and reasonable price especially since I'm on a budget during these times. When Adam showed up he was professional and knowledgeable. Told me what to expect and possible reasons why my sink was clogged. Adam got to work. He was honest and very personable. He was young but you could tell he knew his craft. He did his thing and waited to test the sink was draining correctly. He gave me tips to how to properly use my dishwasher (the culprit of my clog) and the best methods for cleaning soiled dishes. I would highly recommend him based on knowledge, service and price. He's up and coming and despite only having one review on yelp A&B is a local business we should encourage to patronize. Small businesses and workers like him make our community and deserve a chance. PLEASE READ - DO NOT HIRE. Our main sewer line running from under our house to the street was leaking and caused the front house trap to fill up with water and waste. We decided to hire a small business to do the job, rather than give our money to a big company. A&B Sewer Solutions was the WORST decision. We scheduled a diagnostic with them to come look at the property for a certain time and date. Upon the scheduled date, one guy arrived 2 hours late. When he showed up, the initial price was $1200 for a snake of the line and a warranty. Then when two other guys showed up, they said $1200 and no warranty, and kept pushing for us to do a hydrojet which they initially said was $3,500. After back and forth, we settled on $2,000 for the hydrojet. There was a team of 3 guys. Neither of them had the proper tools (they asked us for garbage bags, did not have gloves or any gear). Upon doing the work, they had removed two sewer caps and said that due to the condition of the caps they could not put them back on. We told them if they could just buy the caps ($75), and we reimburse, they can reinstall the caps for us since we wouldn't know how to do it ourselves. Days later after them cancelling scheduled dates to come back, our trap remains without sewer caps and left with disgusting smell and fumes throughout our ground floor. We had a leak which was complicated by causing issues in another part of our home. I needed help fast but times are rough now and no one calls back! These guys not only responded quickly to my call, but they were at my door the same day and ready to do whatever the job needed. They never slacked off and kept me updated while they worked. They were professional and very approachable. They kept to their estimate for the most part aside from a few adjustments we needed to make, but I was aware and they clearly requested approval for anything they needed to do. I had been having on and off problems with my toilet for a while right now, and finally decided to have a plumber come to take a look at it. A&B Sewer Solutions gave me a quote right away (within 5 minutes of my request) and had immediately availability. I really appreciated that, since even though my issue was not an emergency, it really needed to be fixed asap. Adam showed up early and within the first few minutes of his visit, he was able to identify the problem and fix my toilet so that it works better than it's ever worked before! I'm going to give an honest review, they are nice but they are like 18 years old kids that started a company. If you want to get a simple job done, they charge the same price as experienced team, but they take much longer and can't even finish the job. Legit charged me $300 for coming and trying to clean a pipe but couldn't even clean it. They seem inexperienced I would stay away. Wanted to cut my walls pipes to fix an easy job. I hired another plumber who fixed the job without cutting anything. read more

We had a leak in my ceiling that we thought for sure was plumbing related. After a speedy and smooth communication with Brianna, Andrew came by the day after and took a look at it. He was very knowledgeable and in an instance told me it's not plumbing related nor a leak from my roof and helped us resolve the mystery of the drywall stain (it's condensation). He was very nice and polite through it all, although we did not need their service at this time, I really truly appreciated his generosity in coming over and helping us diagnose this honestly.
