Trying not to panic, we started to call around and found a very empathetic person that worked us into the schedule at MOXIE Salon. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had…read more Before going, I called the Pantops location directly to ask if I could bring my baby in a stroller for a spray tan. The employee I spoke with was kind and clearly told me it would not be a problem. Based on that, I drove over 30 minutes to the salon with my son. When I arrived, I set up my account, paid, and was ready to go back when the assistant manager, Sarah, came up and said my baby was not allowed in the back and I would have to leave and come back another time. When I explained that I had specifically called ahead to confirm this, she tried to tell me I must have called the corporate office--which was completely untrue. I repeated the exact number I called (the Pantops location), and instead of taking responsibility, she doubled down and refused to acknowledge the mistake. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the situation, and no effort to make it right--despite the fact that I had just driven over 30 minutes each way with a baby based on incorrect information from their staff. I also had to specifically ask for a refund; it was not offered upfront. Yes, I ultimately received my money back--but that does not excuse the wasted time, unnecessary trip, and dismissive attitude. The issue wasn't just the policy, it was the complete lack of accountability and basic customer service. If this is how new customers are treated, I would not recommend this location.

Yeda is a master at pinpointing a problem and helps release the inflammation that can cause a lot of issues. I had Bell's Palsy years ago and had been experiencing a residual effect in my face and it was becoming more pronounced. When I opened my mouth my left eye lid would droop. The left side of my face felt weak. I told Yeda about it and asked if we could work on it. He agreed to try but he was also honest about the chance that it was too damaged to help. We gave it the ole college try and low and behold IT WORKED!!! I am so very grateful as I was concerned that it was going to progress and who knows what. Yeda the Master worked his magic and my face is normal again!!! Yay Yay Yay!!!!

I was really excited to try a new spray tan place in Charlottesville after being disappointed in…read moresun tan city. I tried The Well Room and it was a beautiful location and setup with very friendly staff. I noticed that during the spray, the lady only did one layer. She did not do a through job. She patted me down and assured me that the blotches would come off with my rinse 8 hours later. My first comment is that I selected the darkest shade and it is definitely not standard "dark" more like a medium. My tan is very splotchy. I'm really disappointed as I paid a more premium price for this service and it looks like I self tanned.

It was an office chair and a foot bath with wheels that was brought over. I had my infant with me, and planned on holding her on my lap. The woman doing my pedicure gave me a look when I walked in and said, "ok....." In a weird tone. She said she didn't know what I'd do with the baby, and when I said I planned to hold her she said she didn't think it would work and wasn't a good idea. I told her it was fine and that I was doing it anyway, and from there the experience improved. I wouldn't say it was a spa-like experience, but it had a very home-y vibe, like going to a friend's. The pedi itself was decent but a little pricey at $40.
