We had an "appointment" to drop off our vehicle on a Monday. Wednesday comes around still no word from them. We called and they said they hadn't had a chance to look at it yet, but they promised they would look at it today (Thursday). Almost 5pm on Thursday and still haven't heard from them. We called and again they said they hadn't looked at it yet. Then they got an attitude when we told them we would just come get and have someone else look at it. We went all week without a car and they never even bothered to look at it or communicate with us. They must not need business. Do not go here. read more

My brakes started grinding on our van right before a long road trip and I called 4 other shops and they were booked for more than a week. The good: All Around Auto was able to get me in the next day! They were professional, friendly, and were extremely thorough. They fixed my van's brakes. The bad: Getting only my rear brakes done at All Around Auto was more than twice as much as getting BOTH my front and rear brakes done at our usual shop, A&A Auto, although that was two years ago. So it basically cost about 4 times as much. Sure, inflation has been rough, but not by that much. They were upfront with what it would cost, but there was nothing I could do if I wanted to get my brakes in working order for our trip. I do appreciate they did it quickly, but I think I know why this shop was not busy. This shop does many things right, but beware their costs are prohibitive, and cost is a huge deal. read more

If you need a car repair this is the only place to go...they're honest and amazing mechanics... you're just not a number here... they care about giving you the best service ... their prices are very fair and they don't try to sell things you don't need ... integrity is definitely what you get at All Around Auto ... If you valve your money, I repeat and I repeat do not take your car here for service of any kind. They will rip you off. I took my car in for a serpentine belt to be replace because it was broken. Cost $400, the next day the belt broke. I call and they told me to take the car back in and they will look at it. Belt is warranty but not anything else, bad pulley, or bad pulley tensioner, or it could be bad water pump . I was like you just replaced the belt, didn't you check if there was anything bad that need to be replaced. He told when he looked at it, everything was fine. Either this place is incompetent or finding way to up charge customer. read more

This place is tucked away on the northeast corner of 18 Mile and Mound Road. Discovered them when my car had died previously in a parking lot a couple miles away. They work with a towing service that dropped my car at their shop. Got a follow-up call when I couldn't make it there to discuss. They were backed up but communicated clearly when they'd be able to get to a diagnostic review. In the end it was the starter and some other neglected high priority items. All parts and labor costs were known up front, no surprises and In the end they waived the diagnostic fee because of being backed up so much, which was very considerate. A place that communicates clearly, doesn't do the hard sell, is professional and does what they say and gets the job done. Hard to find in this economy. I immediately distributed cards to friends and family. Give All Around a call if you find yourself needing auto help. read more

So far yes I would recommend them to others mostly because they are honest . Being a single woman and not knowing anything about cars they could have lied to me twice by saying a part was broken , instead they fixed it or repaired it and did not charge me. Having many cars throughout my life I find that to be commendable, which unfortunately is not the norm when it comes to many auto service shops. I've never left All Around Auto unsatisfied. Everyone is super kind, friendly, and honest. The mechanics will always be honest with you about what your car NEEDS and what can wait until next time, and they're very reasonably priced. I'll always trust Dave and his staff with my cars. With the CO-VID19 pandemic, the shop is taking every precaution possible to be sure both you and your car are well taken care of. They're even leaving little bags with gloves and sanitizing wipes so you can feel safe getting back in your car after it's been worked on! read more
