Disappointing results, poor communication, and a failed warranty…read more ​I want to start by saying I don't expect perfection. However, I do expect a repair to be comparable to other curb rash repairs I've had in the past. Because my wheel only had a mild case of rash, I decided to try a mobile service this time instead of my usual dedicated wheel shop. ​Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Communication was poor; our first appointment fell through entirely, despite me confirming the time and providing the location via Yelp. When he finally did show up, he tried to charge me more than the agreed-upon price and I had to show him our message history just to verify it. While he managed to get the job done, the actual repair work speaks for itself (see photos). As you can see in the "before" picture, the damage was minimal. In the "after" picture, the original rash was replaced with a rough patch that actually extended to the inner edge; an area that wasn't even damaged initially. Further down the rim, there was a visible dust nib and a glob of paint on a previously perfect section. ​When I immediately pointed out these flaws, the technician was very dismissive. However, he eventually scheduled me for a touch-up/repaint to address my complaints, but then completely ghosted me. To top it all off, the repair lacked any real durability; despite being promised a one-year warranty against chipping and bubbling, the paint chipped on its own just a few weeks later. ​I am unsatisfied with this service to say the least. If you want quality results that last, I highly recommend bypassing this mobile service and taking your business to a dedicated wheel repair shop.

We spoke to shop after shop, not getting the right vibe from them; that is until we talked to Pete. Right from the start Pete was very confident, knowledgable and most of all, patient! We came in to meet and talk a bit more about our goals and budget. I knew that I was interested in doing an LS conversion but not necessarily all of the little details that go along with that; this is where Pete's experience really shines. There is no guesswork or experimentation when Pete is doing these builds; He knows what is going to work, simple as that. Of course there is room for customer input, and at several points in the progress of our build we did get called in to talk choices on aspects of the build. I always felt informed and presented with rational options, and always felt in control of the outcome, Pete made it easy to make decisions. After a written estimate and parts list breakdown, we contracted Pete for the build in the summer of 2020. Even during the madness of the virus era, with parts delays etc, we were completed in roughly 6 months of time. The finished car is like nothing I've ever driven, such a pure driving experience! It really is wonderful how great our car turned out. We like to say that if GM/Chevrolet offered an LS3 option in 1969, it would look just like our engine bay because everything is clean, conservative and raw at the same time. Nothing looks out of place or over the top, it's perfect. Just an all around proper LS swap, absolute perfection. It is because of Pete's work that this car has gone on to win some big awards, among them GNRS best in class. I made the mistake of taking my truck to a local shop to get an alignment and it came out worse then it went in. They couldn't align it due to it having an oem lift. 88 rotors saved the day for my truck running right. When I got oversized tires for my truck they made the appropriate cuts/modifications to the truck to make it look right and have no rubbing. I would definitely recommend these guys for someone who wants the one stop shop who will make their truck look nice!

I purchased BMC performance air filters for my new Nissan Z here. I picked them up when they were…read moreready. When I tried to install them, they did not seem to fit correctly. I emailed them and got a response the next business day. After a couple of emails, they were willing to give me a refund. When I went back to get that done, I spoke to the owner, who asked if I'd mind letting him see the issue. I had no problem. The new filters were clearly of higher quality then the ones that came with the car. They also were made withy higher quality materials. That seemed to be the issue. The old filters fit very loosely into the air filter housing and the new ones did not fit easily. After a few minutes and some pictures, the owner discovered that the filters do fit, they are just far more snug. He as willing to give me the refund or have someone trim the filters. After they fit, neither was necessary. They'll work fine. I really appreciated how willing EDO was to deal with the issues I had, including giving me a refund, which I ended up not wanting. I already saw that they have a great selection of high end car lubricants and I will be back here to have them do the oil changes on the car. I came in to buy air filters and I left wanting to be a returning customer.

The engine failure was not caused by the Tomioka turbo. The turbo held together through an internal engine implosion. The blade damage was minimal and no damages to the bearing, which shows the strength and build quality of the unit. EDO assisted with obtaining the missing components for this pre-owned kit. They supplied the required bolts, nuts, gaskets, couplings and the sensor in a fast and efficient manner. Due to current pricing and inflation, the total parts cost was about 1,000 dollars. The turbo kit has performed above expectation. My vehicle produces 361 hp and 301 tq at the wheels on flex fuel. I expect solid service from this pre-owned kit. If any issue arises, I take comfort in knowing a long-standing shop such as EDO Performance is available to support me.
