Next day she had to call and ask what happened and he said he forgot and came later that day. I had an issue with my refrigerator and immediately I noticed that he appeared to be unknowledgeable about what was wrong or how to fix it. After a few minutes he ended up pushing a few button sand opening and closing the door on the refrigerator before making a diagnosis that included ordering parts that of course would probably be hard to get due to shipping constraints (just another excuse to hide his lack of knowledge). During the appointment I called my homeowner warranty company so that he could speak with them and provide the diagnosis and he promptly told me that "he didn't want to talk to them". Advised that he would get the price for the parts and call me back to let me know how much the total cost to repair my issue would be. Worse experience ever, first made an appointment and he completely forgot about the appointment. I had to call and he said he was sorry he forgot....understandable but this did give some concern. This was just before Thanksgiving. Finally, he came and told what the service would cost once here he stated oh no he could not do it at the service cost he gave. He stated he was going to have to bring a tool which on the phone he already stated he was bringing when he made the appointment and the service cost. This was to repair a wall oven in which the temperature sensor had went out. He literally asked me how much was it worth to fix it....I looked at him and said I need my oven. He said he was going to have to charge alot more than 125.00 his service charge which I found unethical because I had literally given him all the information over the phone exactly and was quoted one thing for the service fee. He fee jumped upwards of over 200.00...WHAT! Finally, he decided how he would repair gave me his quote and said he would be back in two days....that was 3 weeks ago he never showed nor called. Very unprofessional and I was completely shocked because he seemed to be rather courteous and very polite. However, after the hackling over the service fee he would charge after he had said one thing I was not totally surprised. He gave me the impression he just did not want to do it. Thanks to him I could not cook Thanksgiving dinner for my family since I was out of time and could not get someone else in time. My recommendation to him ...if you do not want to do a job just tell someone so they can call someone else. VERY unprofessional and dishonest on his fees. I appreciated that Kim agreed to come out to service my refrigerator the same day I called AND he had the necessary part to repair. Problem, the repair did not FIX the problem and I called him the next day to return. Promise after broken promise to return, and he has not, nor has he provided updates on when he would return. At this point it is disappointing that ppl do not know how to be honest, respectful of other ppls time, and mindful of karma. Mr. Kim Coleman was very disrespectful when I spoke with him regarding his service on the dishwasher in our home. Mr. Kim was quick to deposit the check 2 days after the initial visit (11/10) in which he had to order a part for service. He said he would call when the part came in and he did not. My mother had to call him the next day (11/11) for him to say he would be there the following day (11/12). When Mr. Kim came the following day (11/12) with the ordered part, it was the wrong part, so my mother was told he would reorder and call her the next week (11/16) when the new part came in. Mr. Kim did not call again, so my mother had to call him (11/17) to see when he was coming. When he arrived (11/20 the Friday the of this week) after replacing the valve, he said there a leak in the hose under dishwasher and that it had been installed wrong. He was very frustrated and complained about how "people didn't install dishwasher correctly" and "that was why he hated fixing dishwashers." Mr. Kim went on state that he could fix it. He also stated that he had to turn off the hot water because it would leak and possibly mess up the floor. He said he would be back that same day (11/20)to finish the repair and turn on the hot water and said he would call if he couldn't get back to finish the repair. He did not call or come finish the repair in 11/20. My mother had to call him today (11/21) to see if and when he could turn on the hot water. He said he would come "sometime today." My mother told if he couldn't fix the dishwater, she would like him to at least turn on the hot water. Mr. Kim said he could fix it, but he could come "right now but would be there sometime today." All that being said, when he was called on my mother's behave (by me, her daughter) after 3pm today (11/21) to see if he was still coming to fix the dishwasher, Mr. Kim was very rude and told me he would come if I stopped talking and then hung up on me. After my husband call and ask the same (if he knew approx what time he could come) Mr. Kim sent my mother a text message that said it was a "hostile environment" and he would not come to turn on the water or finish the repair. NEVER USE THIS PERSON!!!! On Wednesday 2 February 2017 I called the "Affordable Appliance Services, Chester, Virginia" regarding a problem I had with my refrigerator. I was told that somebody will be at my place between 12 and 4 pm the same day. Indeed a gentleman by the name Kim Coleman came to my home, checked the refrigerator and told me that he needed to replace 1 or 2 parts, which he would get the next day. I was told that the return visit would be between 12 and 4 pm and he would give me a call before noon the next day to be more specific about the time of his return. He asked me for a check of $ 89, which I did give it to him. It needs to be mentioned that in his web site the cost of the home visit was mentioned as $79. The gentleman failed to return the next day. I placed 5 calls to his answering service, however, he never called me back. In the meantime consultation with another source suggested just a simple defrosting of the refrigerator prior to any other intervention, something that I did and it took care of the problem. I have used Kim Coleman's company All Affordable Appliance Services twice now, once over a year ago and a few weeks ago. His second visit confirmed my first impression of him. A very kind, honest, hard working man striving to make a living with his own business. While he checked out my front load washer (which was leaking), we talked about washers and the pros and cons of top and front loading washers. I learned a lot. In the meantime, he showed me the problem with my washer was the hot water valve which was worn out and needed to be replaced, and offered to show me how to repair it when the part came in instead of having him coming back out which would save me $125. Obviously, I said that would be great, we ordered the valve together (at his wholesale price), the valve came in several days later and I repaired the washer on my own, only paying $75 plus $12 for the valve. Keep up the great work Kim! Even my boyfriend who came in while you were there and met you, was impressed with what a nice guy you were. Thanks for the input on buying a new washer so when it comes to that down the road, I know what brand and type to buy. Keep up the great work! Do not use this company. Mr. Coleman is not reliable or professional. I first called All Affordable Appliance Services about a Scotsman Ice Machine on November 8, 2018. He came out that afternoon gave me an estimate and stated that the inlet water valve needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and came back on December 5, 2018 and replaced the valve, installed a new filter and adjusted the legs. The work order states that there is a 90 day warranty on all parts and labor. I had to once again call Mr. Coleman because on December 6, 2018 the ice machine was once again not making ice. Mr. Coleman came out and stated that he would have to contact Scotsman to order a new valve. I called and left 2 messages on Mr. Coleman's voicemail during December. I did not speak with again until January 7, 2019. He stated that the part was in and that he would install it on January 11, 2019. He did not show or call to reschedule. I spoke with him again on January 17, 2019 and he stated that he would be here January 24 or 25, 2019. I agreed to call him the first of the week to confirm the appointment. I called January 22 and 23, 2019 and left messages. He still has not returned my calls. read more

The next day he came and taped something, and collected another $70, and said it would work. It did not fix the problem. We called him several times and he kept setting appointments (3 times) and never coming, so we would waste time waiting at home for him to come. I wish I had never called this person. I called him to come out and look at my refrigerator. He came out on 6/2/16. He told me I needed a new compressor and quoted me 400. At that time I didn't want to spend the money on the fridge. I paid the service charge and asked him if I changed my mind would the service charge still be put towards the repairs and he said yes. That evening after my roommate and husband came home we decided to go a head with the repair. So I called him back and he said he would call me the next day to let me know when he could come out. I texted him the next day and he called back and said he would come out on Tuesday the 7th in the morning. That morning I called to confirm and he said he would come out still but it would have to wait till after 12 and before 2. He never showed up. At 2:15 he texted me and said he would call me shortly. He never called. Around 4 I tried to call him again and no answer. He then texted me and said he had a family emergency and he would come between 830 and 9 on Thursday the 9th. I texted him again Thursday morning and he said he would be here at 9:30. He never came and called to tell me had to get nitrogen and would be here in an hour. I have not heard from him nor has he come since then. I have called him several times and texted him. No response. I just read a recent review on here and the response that he had to the customer is rude and I have a feeling he is going to post a rude comment to mine as well. I may have called this guy more than he would like, but when you constantly are a no show it is horrible customer service and super frustrating. I have been nothing but nice to Kim, my only message to him after waiting for the second day for him to show up was "Are you going to blow me off again?" to which I have not had a response. So basically the $71 dollars is gone and I have to pay someone else to come out again. I wish I had never called this person and if I had seen the bad review that was recently posted I never would have. I hope that I save someone from the horrible customer service I have received. I have never been stood up in my life by anybody in the service field. And since Kim wants to state that anyone can just leave a review and not be truthful.
