If you want a simple gutter cleaning, they are fine. If you want bigger work done such as new gutters, the work is ok, but you'll probably hit the lottery before you get a response from Caroline/Carolyn. It can go weeks or months before getting an email or phone call returned. If there is a leak or additional work that needs to be done other than a gutter cleaning, good freakin' luck! They will come out and do half the work and "need to come back" but never return. read more

I made an appointment to get a quote on Monday 10 am. I took a day off from my work just for the appointment. However, Carolyn didn't show up. I tried to call her but no one responded. She then called me back on 1 pm, telling me that she had to attend a meeting so she didn't come. I told her that she should've notified me earlier so I needn't waste one day of time-off. She apologized but everything could've been prevented with as simple as a phone call. Absolutely irresponsible as a business owner! read more

Added a couple of downspouts and cleaned gutters on a 2-story house. Did an outstanding job; fast, cleaned up after the job, very professional. read more

Was a small job for these guys - did a great job. Can't say enough nice things about the install guys, nice, professional, left the site spotless. Would hire these again, as long as I get the same install guys. And they were on time and it started raining when they were almost done, so we could see the good work. Thanks again, would recommend these guys. read more

I've used All About Gutters more than once. However a recent experience obliges me to write this review. The first visit was great as the owner selected a solid crew who came out and washed the gutters out completely and place drain spout protectors to block leaves from accumulating in angled areas. They also have insurance that covers their subcontractors they hire, which was what initially sold me However, the 2nd visit, the owner sent out a different gutter crew. They did not come on the time we arranged (but early) when I stated I would not be home. So by the time I came home, they said they were done. I have no idea what happened but I assumed that they got the work done. I later found out that they had taken the spout protectors out and forgot to place them back into the downspout areas. They left the downspout protector on our deck instead. I have contacted the owner previously to reinstall the downspout protectors. I asked her to do so as she wanted me to write a good yelp review. She called back once to acknowledge but never came to send out crew to replace the missing downspout. To this day, no response. No fix. = Me not writing a yelp review. The owner also tried to sell me on cleaning out dryer vents, which I tried. The same 2nd crew also failed to connect my dryer tubing from dryer to vent hole. They removed the tape without retaping the tube back to the dryer or vent wall. As a result, this weekend (upon cleaning dryer) I found that we had lint all over the back side of our dryer room. Had I not checked, I would have had lint accumulating for years. I ended up going to Home Depot to buy new tubing and tape and tube clamps to reconnect our dryer to our vents. To say the least, I was not happy having to make this extra trip and squeezing into the backside of my dryer contorting my body to fix this ... but since the owner failed to return my previous calls, I have no choice but to be DIY. Now writing the yelp review because I have to. read more

Currently dealing with an insurance claim from a tile roof leaking installed in 2009. We had gutters installed March 2014 by this company. After getting hung up on today, I am truly not sure if this is the gutter company I would have chosen. Several professionals have come out and alerted us to the gutter installation. The 2nd story gutter spout dumps onto my roof tile, past the metal flashing and 2 feet away from the 1 story gutter. Multiple companies have said workmanship of the gutters have caused the leak and the wet rot. So much water coming down the spout, water travels. Easy to relate to with all the recent storms. Yesterday speaking with Carolyn was nice just want to get it fixed and stated "we have insurance for these things". Today I got hung up on and treated as if the roof is the problem. She even claimed there were broken tiles in the picture, which is a total lie. Carolyn there was an out of place tile, BTW, but the gutter pouring all the water in the area made the leak much worse than it ever should have been. The insurance inspector and the roofer have all verified no broken tiles. They also both said the gutter downspout is run strange and should be tied into the 1st floor gutters, not dumping on the tile roof. Carolyn's solution to the downspout was to close it off so water does not travel through it. I don't think that is a good solution, as I think the correct solution would be to install it correctly. But I will also get a second opinion, as there is a level of trust that is missing at this time. I will update my review as this progresses, as I feel it is important for consumers to see that resolution has happened and the company supports its installation. read more

Thanks to Carol and her team at All About Gutters, I now have a much dryer house and back yard. They installed new gutters for me a couple of months ago---the work was done very professionally, the crew installed and cleaned up spotlessly, almost wouldn't know they'd been here except for all the nice new gutters and downspouts. I was waiting until our first heavy rains to see how they actually performed. This week it poured! Unlike last year, I don't have pooling water in my back or side yard. I don't have rain coming directly off the roof. Although I had gutters before, they were inadequate to deal with the volume of rain we get and in an older style, and had some patchwork fixes that had been applied, ineffectively, before we moved here. All About Gutters assessed the situation, explained my options, and helped me make a good choice. In addition, in terms of the customer service they provided, I had the opposite experience from some other reviewers here. I'm pretty busy in the course of a week and was bad about following up with making color choices, scheduling our first assessment and installation times, etc. They were very patient with me and continued to follow up about the details in advance so that everything went smoothly. I recommend them highly. read more

I had them come out in the fall of 2013 to install gutter and downspouts on my house...as I tore them off a few months earlier during a semi-outdoor renovation where I painted my house. I feel like I did my research and allaboutgutters appeared to have the best reviews here on YELP. I even stopped by and they actually had a store front, not run out of a garage. This business is one of many afvantages of the Bay Area. I had SO MANY selections of gutter companies, and allaboutgutters did what I wanted. All you have to do is ask!! We went with steel gutters and the install was perfect. After this winter, no leaks, all caulking was well done, and paint matching was perfect. Probably most importantly was all corners were riveted, not screwed together like a Home Depot job. I don't rememer the owner's name, but she came out and did the estimate and was on time. She was straight forward, no BS. I would recommend allaboutgutters to anyone. read more

Great company to work with. They did a fantastic job installing copper gutters on my home. Very clean. I would definately use them again in the future. I enjoyed working with Carolyn at All About Gutters, very professional and personable. Rich F. San Jose, CA. read more

Worst customer service ever. The lady told me the work scope is too small, and they won't do it. She directly hang my call even without saying a "goodbye"!!! Working with All About Gutters on my client's project was seamless and easy. They were punctual, professional and knowledgeable. Together we picked the right gutter profile and color for my client's house. Additionally, they did some repair work on rotten fascia boards. Our home needed gutter replacement, and this business came up with good reviews when I was doing my research, so I gave them a call. Upon contacting Carolyn, she made an appointment to come do an assessment for an estimate. First red flag: When the time for the assessment came around, I took time off of work to meet her. After a good 10-15 min after the appointment time, I reached out to see if she was still coming. She had completely forgotten about it and asked to get out of it and reschedule for the next day. At that point, I told her I could not take time off the following day and she agreed to come by. We discussed what needed to get done, she seemed really knowledgeable and eager to fix things in the proper manner (she pointed out a bunch of things that apparently had been done wrong when we had just gotten our new roof). She said she could fix them all. Second red flag: When we were scheduling the actual work, she kept changing the dates/times, so she kind of just booked herself for a time that wasn't convenient for us. Since the rainy season was upon us, we agreed to her getting the work done while we were not home. Upon arriving home that evening, we noticed that several things were not done as we had discussed, and when confronting Carolyn about these, we got nothing but excuses of how that was the most appropriate course of action, even though we were never consulted. Here are the ones that caused us the most frustration: 1) We got quoted for a certain number of downspouts, and all but one got installed. Probably the most important one that would have helped us qualify for a rain garden rebate from the water district. Apparently there were some issues that I still don't fully understand, so it didn't get done. 2) Removal of a downspout from the corner of the house, leaving the outer wall with exposed holes (not even puttied!) and now in need of re-painting (the house has only about 1 year of having exterior painting done). At no point was this part of the plan. 3) The addition of a downspout on the same outer wall but right by our patio door. Now, every time we go out after a rain event, the area is very wet and our door mat soaked. It is also not very aesthetic as it is right in front of our patio furniture. Again, this was not part of the plan. The final straw: Despite our complaints about the work, Carolyn offered nothing to make it better. We are very unsatisfied and feel ripped off. All we got were cheap justifications for the mediocre job that was done. However, she quickly proceeded to charge us. I know some people would have probably insisted more until they were fully satisfied but I was DONE dealing with this. It was a struggle and I don't have the time or energy to go around in circles. The only thing I could do at this point is warn others. read more

These guys were fabulous. I am sorry the first reviewer was unable to connect with them, because they did a wonderful job on my gutters and power washing all the cement around my home. They were fairly priced, professional and respectful of my home. They protected my new plants, were concerned about my property and cleaned up after themselves. The owner gave me what I consider a very fair price. I won't know if the gutters work until it rains, but if they work as well as they look, I am very pleased. If you have a hard time connecting, keep trying. It's worth it! read more

All About Gutters took care of the installation of gutters for an addition in the back of our home. The style, finish and detail of the work was excellent. The job was done in a couple hour and very reasonably priced. We recently had them come out to clear a clog that had developed due to trees over head. For the same price as fixing the clog, they checked and cleaned the entire set of gutters around the home. And when they found they were going to have to remove the downspout to clear the clog, they didn't charge extra. When it was put back, it was seamless, like it had never been removed. They even offered a repeat customer discount. There was a little back and forth coordinating a time, but it all worked out. read more

Excellent gutter install: great work, plus very responsive, professional and fast every step of the way. They were recommended to me by a trusted contractor and I can see why he has such confidence in them. Both the owner and her gutter install crew were very experienced and a true pleasure to work with. I recommend them highly. Update: It's 9 months later and I'm still singing their praises. Our new gutters are working great in the rain. Of all the contractors I worked with Caroline is the most responsive and her team the easiest to work with. They are very good at what they do: reliable, quick, professional. I am mystified by that bad review that says they are unresponsive. Not only were they very responsive with me, but I have recommended them to two families since they did the great gutter install for us, both of those families report excellent customer service. read more

Called them after 2 years to install gutter guards (covers) over the gutters they had installed. They did a great job as usual. Carolyn, the owner was prompt, fast and executed the project quickly and smoothly. Moreover, the gutters they installed 2 years ago withstood the el-nino storms pretty well. read more

Carolyn was rude on the phone when I called for an estimate to clean gutters. Not sure how this person stays in business.

I requested on-site evaluation of current gutters, recommendation, and estimate. Carolyn came out, surveyed our gutters and downspouts, made measurements, and suggested several improvements (e.g., leaf guards on one side of the house, larger gutters, etc.). She submitted an estimate a couple of days later, we negotiated a small reduction, and then she scheduled the work for the following week. The work was finished on schedule, in a day and a half. The on-site crew was professional, communicated with us, and the work appears to be of excellent quality. read more

I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I discounted the rants and called them. I had a really good conversation with Carolyn, the owner. She was not only knowledgeable but a lot of fun too. I gave her my rough dimensions and she gave me a budgetary quote on the phone. Velid, one of her project managers, came up to give a firm quote. He was knowledgeable, professional and gave good advice. He gave me several options and didn't push for the more expensive ones. The final quote was the same as the budgetary one given on the phone. We signed the agreement last Thursday and it is now just after 3PM on Monday and the job is complete. The work area is clean. While it'll be a while before the rainy season begins, I'm confident the gutters will perform well. There are a lot of options in terms of getting gutter contractors and I'm very pleased with how they did. read more

GREAT Service?? What ever happen to great service?? AAG gets its!! Called six gutter contractors, not one called back except AAG. I have the same experience as other reviewers that this company's customer services is terrible. They don't return phone calls or emails. When I ask when they can come out for estimate, Carolyn (I believe is the owner) said "may be next week". When I was making my third attempt to call them to confirm the estimate schedule, Carolyn told me that I called them too much. I am not very sure how could people give them business with this kind of customer services. Don't waste your time with this company! read more

I called these guys to quote a gutter cleaning service a couple weeks ago. At the time I saw great reviews on this company. I got a quote but then when I tried to book the service these folks never called me back. I literally called them 3-4 days, and finally on the 4th day, I called, left messages, emailed, yelped, etc. and NO One called me back. Seriously unprofessional. If you don't want my business and changed your mind, just call back or send email to let me know you are unavailable for this service right now. Your phone rang off the hook, then it would give me busy signals, etc. you need to get a better phone system as it was so unprofessional. I don't deal with second rate companies that don't call potential customers back. These guys will definitely not be on the call list when I upgrade my gutters!!! Anyway I hope this person treats others with more respect. If you can't do a service just say so. read more

All About Gutters is unprofessional and a waste of time. I called twice to set up an appointment for a gutter repair job and never received a call back. That should have warned me. But I called again and reached the owner, explained my job and was asked to send in digital photos of the repairs so they could give me an estimate. That seemed reasonable so I took the pictures and e-mailed them but never heard back. Don't waste your time with these people. read more

These guys are aweful. I called Monday for an estimate. They gentleman on the phone was great. He told me that he will be out Tuesday for an estimate & email the quotation to me by late Tuesday. Wednesday came and nothing. I call late Wednesday and got a lady who told me that I was not on their priority. She also would not commit to when an estimate can be done. I pressed that they let their customer know if they cannot commit; she then said we were not a good match. With service like that, I'm surprised they have any good review. read more

5 star service for us - from the estimator to the installers, they were on top of it. The installers in particular really impressed me - it was 105 degrees out on the day they came and they worked from 9AM to 6:30 PM and not only did a thorough job but even added a section using extra material because they felt like it would make the whole system work better. At this point, we couldn't be happier. The designer/estimator was prompt, thorough; the calls from the office have always been pleasant...count us as very satisfied customers. read more

My Uncle highly recommended All About Gutters when I needed gutter replacement. Carolyn came out and took a look at what I needed done and spoke with us about what would be best. Workmanship was great, friendly staff. read more

My wife and I had an extremely positive (and seamless) experience with this company. Carolyn was very responsive and gave us a reasonable estimate. The workers came when they said they would, were very polite, and did a fantastic job. Carolyn had even recommended a painting company (El Gato) that we ended up using to paint the house prior to the gutter installation. (They were fantastic as well.) Great experience all the way around. read more

I had a great experience with All About Gutters. We have a two-story single-family home with very high roofs that practically extend out over a pool, so it wasn't a particularly easy job. Our gutters have been in need of replacement since we moved in five years ago- we were so daunted by the process that we delayed the job this long. Anyway, I'm sorry we took so long given our great experience. We asked for quotes from five companies. Of the three that actually responded, All About Gutters was not only the quickest in terms of response but also by far the least expensive (and their quote contained more in terms of features and guarantees than their competitors). The workers who came on site were top-notch- pleasant to have working on my home, and extremely competent. One of the company managers even came out during the job to make sure everything was going well. Today is the first rain, and while I had tested them with a hose to a limited extent before, I can confirm now that the entire system is working great. They look much better than before as well. I couldn't recommend them more. One suggestion- I imagine getting a quick response (and likely a better quote) from any gutter company is much easier in the summer than during the rainy season. read more

Very professional and friendly while getting estimate and asking questions. Took the time to explain processes and they got right back to me when I called. I received an estimate right away and I was ready to send a check for the deposit, the only company out of five I researched that required a deposit, I noticed an advertised discount on Yahoo and Yelp that would have lowered my cost by about $38.00. The owner told me I had to mention the add before the estimate was given and I had already received a fare price. The add does not state that requirement. Does this mean the discount is based on an inflated price? I got an email from them refusing the discount so I went elsewhere. Not because of the $38. but I figure if they don't honor a small request like that, how would they handle other problems I might have down the road with the gutters? Not sure about their overall customer service, but didn't like the response I got. read more
