Great little spot for tea and food perfectly placed in the corner of the shopping center. When I want a more authentic tea experience in Lubbock, this is my top pick. Not to mention, the ambiance of the place itself is quite relaxed. I can and have come here to slowly sip tea and spend several hours reading and writing. The tea selection is broad enough to fit the fancy of almost anyone. You can get more fruity teas or choose your level of sugar-based sweetness. I personally like the extra bitter and earthy green teas. They also have a broad selection of Asian inspired food including sushi, bulgogi, and bibimbop. And it would be foolish to ignore the huge case full of cakes and pastries. The employees are usually friendly and nice here, though I don't get the sense that they care more than doing the job. The ambiance and service are very good. Due to the location, there isn't much traffic here, except for the occasional shopper and their kids. There is plenty of space to work in the corner. The drinks are also very good. If you drink them there, they'll give them to you in an interesting glass mug, teapots, and teacups. It is the food that is subpar. The desserts are no better than anything you would get at a grocery store, and the food, although it has some ties to Asia, is not very flavorful. A great cafe specializing in many different kinds of tea. They also serve great food. We came here after spending a few hours in the outlet mall. Very inviting space and nice cashiers. I ordered a eel sushi roll which was very fresh. It didn't have as much eel as I expected, but tasted great. My husband got the Bulgogi beef which was a huge portion almost like a salad and rice bowl mixed into one. I also ordered the lemon yuzu drink which was like a lemonade with a slight twist. I don't know why it took me so long to try this place but so glad I did!! I think i've tried every chai in Lubbock and FINALLY found what I was looking for. I didn't want another flavored powder shaken with milk, I wanted REAL tea and this is it. So good, so flavorful, PERFECT mix of sweet with the chai spice. I will come here every time I'm craving a chai. The royal black milk tea is also great - perfect sweetness for me. The desserts are beautiful. I've only tried the classic tiramisu so far but it was very good. And the little chocolate teddy graham on top was such a cute touch. This is a place like so many others that you order at a counter, but then they show you the "tipping" screen with a minimum 15% or higher. I don't understand what I'm tipping for? Isn't it the establishment's job to pay its employees for making the food? When I spend $40 for two barely there entrees, one tiny dessert and two cups of tea, I shouldn't have to feel pressured into a tip with the employee staring at me BEFORE I even have my order. Came here for brunch on the weekend and loved this place!! They have really cute interiors and the food/drinks looked amazing. I ordered a breakfast wrap and my friend got the quiche. Both came with a side of fruit. The food was amazing! I was very impressed with both. And for my drink I got the cafe mocha freddo, which is essentially a Frappuccino. I really enjoyed this drink! This is my favorite place in Lubbock. However, as a true tea lover, I really hope the manager can consider changing the water to purified or spring water.
