I was quickly set up with an appointment, was assigned Chris on my case. He methodically troubleshot the issue, and replaced the parts that only needed replacing. Legal action pending against this company. My contract with All About Air in Hayward was for them to install an LG mini split system for new construction. The contract specifies that they would provide a one year warranty on labor. The unit never worked. I had another HVAC come to my home to evaluate the problem. They said that the unit was not installed properly. All About air refuses to correct the problem unless I pay them additional money regardless of the one year warranty. I have filed a small claim action against All About Air for breach of contract. read more

From a recommendation contacted All About Air Monday morning. Christine answered the phone and was very helpful. Explained to her about a loud screeching noise I heard from the ac motor blower when it got turned on and off. She was able to schedule an appointment on the same day I called them for the afternoon. So grateful as the temps were in the mid 90's. Chris, their tech arrived and was able to find the problem. Adjustments were made and the blower was back on line. He stayed to make sure everything was fine and did a quick check on my ac compressor. What I like about this company is that they were prompt, and honest about what the problem was. Called a number of services, looking to repair my heater, which was having some intermittent issues with the fan. They were the only service to call me back promptly. WRT the service appointment - the technician Chris was on time, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to perform some quick maintenance including vacuuming out the dust and debris, washing out the air filter and inspecting the circuit for potential issues. The thermostat was also malfunctioning and he quickly replaced it with one he had with him. These folks are great. We had them install a new HVAC system in our remodeled house over a year ago and after installation, Josh came out a few times, no charge, to adjust the air flow to get uniform heat throughout the house. A few months later, I found water where it shouldn't be, called them out and this time it was Chris who diagnosed the issue - an insect of some kind had crawled into the drain, built a nest and managed to plug it up forcing water out the over flow. Again no charge. Last week we started up the furnace for the first heating of the season and it wouldn't come on. Chris came out and found a pressure switch damaged from the insect/water issue earlier, ordered a replacement, came out two days later with the new switch after hours on a Friday, again no charge. Everyone, including Christine who answers the phone, is always polite and friendly. Can't say enough good things about these people. read more

I wish I could put 10 stars. Air flow to one of the rooms in my 3-year-old home had stopped, and the builder was long gone. I reached out to a friend who owns rental properties for a referral, and he sent me to All About Air. I was fully prepared for an expensive ductwork repair. I showed the crew to the attic entrance before returning to my office. About 10 minutes later, they came down with their ladder in hand. I was expecting the worst. "All done," I was told. This review is specifically targeting the lady who answers the phone and schedules appointments. The actual technicians whom I have never met are not involved. Here is the reason for this review. In the last heat waive my AC died. I found an add in the Mercury News and decided to give the company a try. This was in Mid September. She claims that her "boys" do not work on weekends which is unusual in this industry. She claims that she is completely booked for a solid month. I said if I could just get a quick estimate and not schedule the work as I was getting other bids. She says its Mid October. I booked it after failing to get an earlier date. Never received an e-mail no reminder notice, but I knew it was this week. Finally I call as we are about to enter another heatwave. She said that no appointment was ever booked as I was supposed to get back to her which is a lie. Though I did not have my calendar with me as I was driving I said "I would take it" and move my schedule around at the time as I really needed this AC problem addressed. Then a follow-call was made on 10/15. I was surprised that I actually had NO APPOINTMENT. She refused to just move on and get me some help . I lost my patience as I could not spend another month sweating in my downstairs. One of the things I just hate is for people to get petty hang in to win an argument and so on. I have no idea if this business is a good one to hire as it all imploded with the lady who answers the phone and makes the appointments. I could have had this project done by now. After a fairly thorough search of HVAC shops in the Alameda county area, I chose All About Air to replace a 50+ year old furnace in my house. I found the value of their service unsurpassed by any other bids I'd received. In some cases, they were almost $2000 cheaper than larger companies for what (I felt) was basically the same product and the same service (install new heater and ducting, replace and remove old heater and ducting). The sales process wasn't pushy or high pressure (I didn't feel like I was buying a used car) and the warranty is really good; unlike a couple of the other shops in town, it's not going to void unless I pay $80 a year to have the furnace serviced. The guys finished the job in two days and I'm quite pleased with the end result: the house is warm, the furnace is quiet, and there was a minimum of damage to any part of the house when retrofitting the new ducting (I need some drywall repaired but it couldn't be helped unfortunately). The crew were skilled and efficient, and it's clear these guys know their trade. I would not hesitate to hire these guys again or recommend them to others. However. It's a minor pet peeve of mine when contractors show up at 9 in the morning and ask to use the bathroom as the very first thing, though, I realize we're only human and often these things can't be helped. But, these guys left a mess. And when I say mess, I mean they left piss all over the toilet seat. It wasn't just a couple drops either, it was all over the seat. Now, the fact that we're all dudes isn't lost on me, and part of being a dude is peeing on the toilet seat at times when it best suits us. We've all been there and done it, but come on, this isn't a public restroom on the side of Interstate 5 off the Grapevine. This is a home where other people live. Next time I recommend lifting the seat up or, heaven forbid, just sit down if your aiming is *that* impaired after a long day of HVAC work. So, in summary: I'm very satisfied with my heater installation. 5 stars for the service, value, and product that All About Air offers. Negative one star because my girlfriend had to clean up the toilet seat afterwards. read more

Every once in awhile you come across a company that will bend over backwards for their customers! This is one of them. If your having issues with your A/C or Heating if I were you? I would give these guys a call. We were in the middle of having our backyard redone with paver stones. However the 6 workers had to stop because of an old A/C unit the needed to be uninstalled then reinstalled. The A/C unit base needed to be raised, so we called in a licensed professional to uninstall then reinstall the unit. We called set up an appointment. I explained on the phone that I will have workers standing by from the paving company to raise up the A/C pad so it's above the pavers. Warren arrived on time as promised, very professional.This guy knows his stuff! And doesn't mess around he got the unit uninstalled, then my paver guys went to work. Jason and crew removed my old wall furnace and installed a new furnace and air conditioning system several years ago. They had to put vents in every room since I have an older house. It's been great! I can quickly cool the house down, or heat it up. Plus it's very quiet. What I like is the service. I had them install a new water heater for me a couple of months ago. When the water flow from one sink was slow, I called them and they came over that evening. It was just a clogged filter. They had cleared them all but one. But I like the fact that they came over right away to take care of it. They also threw in a water catch basin for underneath the water heater--which I didn't even think about. read more

I contacted All About Air, Inc based on the ratings in Yelp, I am glad I did, My Mother found herself in need of a "furnace" as she is in the process of selling her home...I contacted All About Air, Inc...left a voice-mail and Jason promptly returned my call (with my out of area, area code). Jason saved my mother quite a bit as she had been given an estimate from another company that was "outrageous" and obviously they were attempting to take advantage of my Mother (Cheryl). Not only were the brothers empathetic to her situation they repaired her furnace and ducts at a reasonable price. My Mother stated Jason and his Brother were both very professional, warm, friendly and quite efficient.
