Jorge is truly the best in his field. I've had some issues where my AC did not turn on and he showed up the same day. He took a look at it and grabbed some things out of his truck and fixed it. I was doing so much research trying to figure out what the issue was and could not figure it out. Jorge did it so seamlessly. My AC has not malfunctioned since. This was a couple years ago. Now, we have him come look at our whole HVAC system every year. He cleans it and does everything he needs to for a tune up and we never have any problems throughout the year. Affordable Heating installed an UV active air cleaner device into my residential system today. The work was quick, efficient, and very professional, and the price was very fair. Couldn't be happier. Jorge, the General Manager, took time to point out to me that this device is "on" any time the system's fan is running and thereby cleaning the air. I can run the fan manually,independent of heating or cooling, to cleanse the air and equalize temperatures in the house. Hadn't occurred to me. Thanks, Jorge! Jorge and his team are capable, quick, and efficient in their work. We had a 40 year old furnace go out on us last year in the first week of winter. It only heated two rooms -- our living room and guest bedroom (the closest rooms the furnace). As a renter leading the effort for our landlord, Jorge worked with us, was timely and responsive, and had the job completed in less than 2 days. Which was great for the amount of work we saw go into it. Now all 3 bedrooms and living room are well heated, we have a new wall thermostat, and it doesn't take nearly as long to heat the house. The customer service was top notch. We had a malfunction with one of the furnace parts, which led to a smoldering electrical fire in the middle of the night (luckily it didn't get out of hand). We alerted Jorge and he was there first thing that morning to address it. While it was no fault to the installation, Jorge wanted to make things right, so he upgraded one of our vent outlets to a larger one, which helps heat our main room much quicker. read more

Justin completely removed and placed a brand New York central heating system to include new registers and duct in rooms that had never had heat. He found that there had never been a outside vent for ventilation in the room with a furnace and put that in. Jorge and Carlos arrived on time and had everything they needed to install a new AC unit in a shed that we converted into a work space for COVID. Jorge had previously assessed the space and I was ready for a much more expensive set up, but went with his advice - he saved me money and was done in less than a day. I contracted Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning for 3 separate AC/HEAT and plumbing fixture and main line replacement and repair projects in the past 3 years. All of this work is excellent, and there were no surprises or problems. All of these jobs were time critical because of hot weather and emergency repairs. I appreciate that George was very accommodating and worked with my tight schedule, difficult access, and stressed out tenants. He was upfront with pricing, straightforward, and was very reasonable. After working with 5 different companies over the past 10 years, including some of the big names I have found that George is consistently more competent, efficient, easier to work with, and he is also better at diagnosing the issues in the first place - which reduces the pain. I need to add that the recent work he did for me was during a pandemic/lockdown. This added complexity did not in any way effect the quality of work, his work ethics, the value he provided, or the cost. He was clearly aware of risks and took care to work safely. I generally do not write reviews but in the context of the current situation I would even add a 6th star to all businesses that add value to society under these circumstances. It was starting to get colder in the evening and early morning hours and our heater was not responding to our thermostat setting. I contacted George at Affordable and was able to get an appointment the very next day. Within a few minutes, George diagnosed the problem and had our heater up and running again. We contacted Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning for some duct repair on our home. We knew we had damage and heat leakage due to opossums living under our house a while back which torn into the ducting. Jorge replied back very quickly and came out the next day to inspect our 26-year-old ducting. Jorge took many pictures of the ducting. His detailed explanation of the damage was very thorough and professional. He provided us with different options that were available to us in addition to how our ducting runs should be re-routed for better efficiency. Since our ducting was old and inefficient, we opted to have it all replaced with aluminum flex ducting instead of the foil type that was originally installed. Jorge and his crew arrived right on time for our scheduled appointment. They removed all our old ducting. Then replaced and re-routed the new ducting installing dampers where needed to better regulate the heat distribution. After installation, he sealed all the vents and tested the air flow to direct it more evenly. The process took only 2 short days to complete. We are very pleased with the level of professionalism and workmanship Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning provided us. Every step of the process was explained to us and he answered all our questions. We will definitely call Jorge the next time we need work done. Our 35 years old heater was not willing to work any more when the winter season came before thanksgiving. I found Jorge from local business listing and called him. He came and trying to fix the heater starter first.. But later he found though the new starter worked ok but whole heater was running unstably, hence to be dangerous. He suggested to replace the heater and he offered fair price. When he began to order the new heater, he found the model we have agreed with is out of stock from his supplier. He brought another model which was quite more expensive than the one we have agreed with. He did not ask me for paying more!!! And his work is clean and perfect! read more

Surprised and dismayed. Jorge came to our home and identified what was wrong with our 35 year old furnace. He is pleasant and has a good personality. Convinced us that it is time for a new furnace and we agreed. He told us he would send a proposal later that day. I texted him asking where the proposal was two days later and he said he would check and verify our email ( I wrote it down for him as well as our contact information). We called Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning in to fix our furnace because it was cycling, but not lighting. It seemed to be a minor problem since I did some research online. Jorge came in at 1pm and kept replacing parts and tinkering away until 3pm and still did not get it fixed. He later said he needed to come back at 7pm because he needed a different part. When he came back at 7pm, he put the new part in, but still could not get the furnace going. He then proceeded to try to re-wire the furnace by reading off of a booklet. We just told him to stop because he was obviously just wasting our time. We later called in a different repair-man and he got the problem fixed in 10 minutes, and charges us half of what Jorge wanted. We contacted Jorge about our old floor furnace last December. It couldn't be saved so he installed a new wall furnace. This required venting through our roof, a building permit and inspection. All was done without issue. We had a problem with the new furnace afterwards, Jorge was responsive and worked with the manufacturer to take care of it. He also serviced our other 2 furnaces. We worked with Jorge over ~4 months on non-standard/old furnaces where he had to find parts and modify a part from another manufacturer. They probably came to our home 8 or more times. They showed up when they said they would and took care of things. Jorge and his assistant were always polite, helpful and friendly. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. I am so grateful to Jorge for his skill in repairing the floor heater in my brother-in-laws house. The heater had been non-op for more than three weeks and it took a bit to actually find him, but Jorge DOES work on floor furnaces (I found most companies only work on central heating/ac). Once I found him, he got the job done quickly. I appreciate the thoroughness of his work and I do apologize to him - the heater was totally a mess! We were lucky there was no fire - I think he had to clean about 10 lbs of dust/cat hair/heater dirt out of the enclosure to make it safe. Once I finally had his contact info he was 1) quick to respond, 2) great at diagnosing the issue with the heater 3) ordered the parts which came over the weekend and 4) came right back today to make the heater work again. Hi, if you are smart, stay away from affordable heating and air conditioning. George is horrible. He says one thing and gives you another. This has gone on for years whether it is heat or ac. Drama. This holiday, our office has not had heat for a week. He has been at the office twice, said he ordered the part overnight, it still hasn't come three business days later. He installed this supposedly new furnace last year or the year before. Now, first cold season, we turn on the furnace, surprise no heat. Do yourself a favor and call someone else.
