After reading the raving review by my buddy Jay G., I knew I had to give this place a try. I came here for lunch with a friend on 11/15/2019. When we arrived at noon, there was already a short line out the door. A quick peek inside revealed a clean interior. There were a few tables inside (plus a couple outside) for dine-in customers. A TV on the wall was tuned to the Food Channel. By the time I was done scanning the interior, it was my turn to order. I got their famous tri-tip sandwich ($9.95) with a few condiments and avocado added ($1 extra), potato salad ($2.95), and a fountain drink ($1.75). The total, with tax, was $17.02 (pro tip: order takeout to avoid paying sales tax). The sandwich was massive and delicious! The tri-tip was seasoned with their house blend of dry rub and smoked to a perfect medium rare. The meat was tender and moist. They didn't overuse the dry rub which allowed the flavor of the meat to shine through. The portion was very generous. There was at least half a pound of meat in the sandwich. My friend couldn't finish his and had to take it home. The potato salad was tasty as well. It was creamy but not mushy. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
