The roofing team arrived early on the first day -- going above and beyond by taking my garbage bin out to the street! AJ's has modern equipment and a very efficient re-roofing process. The tear-off of the old roof and the installation of the new TPO roof were done within two days. I am sensitive to cigarette smoke and I found it a bit disconcerting to see some of the workers smoking while they worked, even if it was outside and on my roof. Also, I would suggest in these cautious times, that masks be worn when workers are in contact with the customer. In order to make the meeting happen I had to coordinate the schedules of myself, Duane, the real estate agent, and the seller who still lives in the house. Duane met us and looked around and took some measurements and talked mostly to the real estate agent rather than to me. As we were leaving I asked how I would receive his estimate. He told me that he would text me and ask me for my email and then send the estimate via email. I thought that was strange. Why didn't he just get my email right then? A day passed and I had not heard from him. I tried calling and texting but he ignores me and he never sent the estimate. Duane, why did you waste your own time as well as the time of 3 other people if you did not intend to give me an estimate? You do not conduct business in a professional manner. Our roof failed two inspections by the State inspector. CID has helped us throughout this horrendous mess with this company. BBB has our pictures of the destruction this roofing company did to our home. Paiz has another company started Custom Roofing Consulting and Construction. IT IS NOT a BBB Accredited Business. We do have an Attorney and soon going after them for Fraud. The State inspector who came out last winter took pictures of a big burn on our roof. The roofers didn't replace fire rating coating and actually hammered nails close to the smokestack. Our home could've burnt down if it wasn't for the State inspector finding this. We immediately contacted Robert Paiz, and he said it was caused by our smokestack. We had another roofing company come out and they verified what Paiz unskilled roofers did and fixed our burnt roof area. This cost us $2.400 to fix. Of course, Robert Paiz paid Zero. So much more to this nightmare roofing job. If you do any work with this company, be careful. Document everything and don't trust Kate his office manager we find her very dishonest.
