Dr. Geisheker listened to the synopsis of my condition and performed a couple of diagnostic tests before getting me set up for a session of spinal decompression therapy. Throughout my various rodeos with PT/chiropractic/acupuncture, this was a first-of-its kind treatment for me. The session lasted about 10-15 minutes and involved various cycles of decompression and stretching, along with the application of cold packs and electromagnet stimulation. This treatment is designed to help heal the discs and spine. While not an immediate fix, it seemed like it paved the way for me to continue my recovery. Anyway, on to the massage. The 1-hour massage lasted the full one hour (and then some). She uses hot stones, hot towels, and I'm not sure how she does it, but she doesn't reach out to get oil but somehow has it coming out as she's working on you with both hands! The masseuse (Kai) came out and offered me a water while I waited. The doctor returned around 1, my appointment time. When I called 2 weeks ago, he has already taken my Groupon number. He asked me to fill out the introductory forms. I prob should have asked to do that while I was waiting. I had a massage and chiro appointment. Kai made the atmosphere very peaceful, with low lights, fragrance, and music. She asked me for the areas to focus on, and to let her know when something was too painful. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Monaco so he could speak to me a little bit more about his services as well as answer a few questions I had concerning the impact I was looking for (I came to him for a sudden limitation in mobility in my neck and spine). As a yoga instructor, I can happily say this guy was legit; his anatomical knowledge and ethical practices were incredible and he made me feel very comfortable from my first moment at the clinic. He also takes a trauma-informed approach, asking for permission and consent prior to contact which should be the norm across the board of all medical/wellness facilities but unfortunately is not always the case. His humor and kindness carried me through the more painful/uncomfortable portions of my adjustments which also made my visits that much more enjoyable! I purchased a package of sessions and they even offered to work with me on billing since my insurance covered nothing, which was very kind. At one point, it's worth noting I was double charged despite my knowledge but their billing department refunded me right away. With Covid-19, I was also a little nervous as I was only half vaccinated during the majority of my sessions. They were insanely clean and offered hand sanitizer, temperature checks, and all wore masks every time. Dr. Monaco had also mentioned to me that as a health and wellness facility, they had all already been vaccinated so that made me feel extra confident about attending. You go online to look at the statement and it gives choices on what you pay. I feel they got desperate for patients. When I thought they heard me say I cant afford 350.00 you would think they would do the best to follow that. Be careful with this company and billing.
