My favorite Chiropractor. Every session is catered to how you feel that day. Unlike most chiro I've been to where you were left in a corner doing recovery exercises and get a 2 second adjustment. Dr. LaBuda was very attentive and had lots of different things he uses to help you relax your muscle and release the knots. We've tried theragun, kinesio tape, graston. I have been seeing Dr. Martin since October of 2018. I found Lake View Chiropractic on Yelp because I had never seen a chiropractor before and I had been having a ton of pain in my back as well as in my hips. This was happening because of a ton of standing every day at work and it was not going away. Dr. Martin got back to me on a Saturday within 20 minutes through the Request An Appointment and scheduled me in within the week. It was super easy to fill out all the forms and he not only let me know that they could accept my insurance but also work with me every single time to figure out how many visits are available and how much I owe. The initial consultation was extremely thorough and he was extremely conversational as well as made everything super easy to understand having never been to a chiropractor before. He also asks great questions about my day to day life and remembers all the details the next time I come back and asks me all about it. I had hurt my back during the peak of the stay at home order and desperately needed to have someone see me. I reached out to Lake View Chiropractic via Yelp, as it was in my neighborhood, to see if I could get in to see someone. Dr. Marty was quick to reply and was able to get me in to see him the next evening! The office was extremely clean/sanitized and Dr. Marty made me feel very comfortable, as this was my first time ever having seen a chiropractor. I literally just left after my 1st appointment with Scott Berger. Scott was very thorough. I had like 5 pages of new patient forms to fill out. Not too bad, really. He went over them with me asking great questions and took notes. He let me know how the rest of the appointment would go. He was so gentle but very effective. I told him. He explained what he was doing and why the whole time. I feel 99% relief from low back pain. I have a little muscle pain 1% but that is inflammation. He can't just make it disappear. That doesn't just go away instantly after so long. I cannot say enough good things about him. I have booked him next week. Go! You will not regret it. read more

I met Dr. Berger when I went in with nerve tingling in my left arm. I'd had this before, and an adjustment usually did the trick. My usual Doctor wasn't available, so here I was with Dr. Berger. He did some initial massage, and hit a knot in my right shoulder. Oww, but on we go. The adjustments were fine, but my right arm wasn't happy. I left with nerve tingling in my right AND left arms. I went back to see their massage therapist to see if that would help. First visit...meh. Second visit, she hit that same spot in my right shoulder and made me sit upright from the pain. My last visit with the Doc... I explain how I'm feeling. He suggests I go to a specialist. "Do you know someone?" I ask. He wrote down a phone number for Northwestern and said I should just call them. I was almost in tears, asking for a plan, a suggestion. Nada. His final words before I left? "Good luck!" I went to another Doctor who gave me a plan and solved the issue. Done. I'd never go back to this place. I've never been left so hopeless by a Doctor. read more

He explained to me what he thought my problems were and explained how he could treat me. He was very professional and informative. Marty LaBuda is the best chiropractor I have been to. I have been to other excellent chiropractors but Marty has surpassed them. I have been going to Marty LaBuda for a little under a year. He adjusts my leg lengths, back and neck. He is also a big advocate of manual adjustments which have never worked for me. His manual adjustments work and I have changed my views about them. He also uses the hydraulic drop-down table which few chiropractors in Chicago have. He uses it to keep my leg lengths even. He has been at the same location for over 10 years and his office hours are fantastic - he works Monday through Saturday which makes it very easy to book an appointment or for that essential emergency where you just have to go in right away. First I want to apologize that I have not commented on here sooner! I've been seeing Dr. LaBuda since 2009 after a terrible car accident and I'm truly grateful and blessed that I happened to find him. I was new to the neighborhood and wasn't sure what chiropractor I could trust. I walked in and right away was tended to, even though they were busy. Throughout the 3 years Dr. LaBuda has been treating me (the last few years have been for regular maintenance) I have grown an appreciation for what he does and have a better understanding of the holistic approach - applying the concept to my health. Dr. LaBuda spends a great amount of time learning about how HE can help YOU. He teaches YOU the physiological terms in ways that adapt to YOUR learning styles. For example, I'm a visual learner and he explained the problematic areas by utilizing his computer programs and "muscle dummies - mannequins". If I had a question and he didn't know the answer (very rare), he was honest and did the research. The next visit he would inform me of his findings. He is extremely thorough with his notes, which came in handy since I am now dealing with insurance companies and attorney's. He is a WORKAHOLIC that will extend his hours if necessary just to make sure his patients are taken care of. Lake View Chiropractic is as good as it gets. I can't even remember how long I have been seeing Marty LaBuda but I can't imagine going to anyone else. Not only is he a great chiropractor but he is a great person. He not only does my alignments but he does my physical therapy. I had surgery on my right shoulder for frozen shoulder and I hated it. When I developed frozen shoulder in my left shoulder I decided against surgery and went to Marty for my physical therapy. Marty has been so successful that I no longer suffer any pain in my left shoulder and my range of motion continues to increase. Marty has also made great headway on increasing the range of motion on the right shoulder which did have surgery. I also have arthritis in my knees and hips and because of the physical therapy Marty does I am frequently pain free. When Marty was on vacation and I absolutely needed to see a chiropractor, I couldn't even wait the three days until he returned, I went to see his associate Dr. Scott Berger. I highly recommend Scott as well. It is of great value to me that there are two highly qualified and very personable doctors in the office so I will never have to suffer pain unnecessarily, because both Marty and Scott are excellent chiropractors I am always covered. read more

I have been regularly seeing a chiropractor for well over a decade. I've moved around quite a bit, so I've had quite a few different doctors in that time span, and I can honestly say that without a doubt, I have never ever had a chiropractor who has spent as much time and energy in helping me solve my pain problems as Dr. Scott Berger at Lakeview Chiropractic. I've been in chronic pain for about 2.5 years, and Scott is the fourth chiropractor I've seen during this time, because none of the others were even able to touch the pain or make any sort of difference. They all did the exact same 3 adjustment maneuvers over and over again, and kept telling me to just be patient. I started seeing Scott in April of this year, and I am ecstatic that I am finally starting to feel like myself again. What sets these guys apart from the rest, is that they perform extensive muscle and soft-tissue work in addition to the typical adjustment, and for me it has made all the difference in the world. No two sessions have been identical, as each time Scott listens to what is bothering me, and experiments with new muscles to find that hidden spot that is somehow the real source of the pain. If adjusting me one way isn't working, he tries another and then another until we're successful. I came in for back and hip problems, but he has made a true difference for me by focusing on my calves and glutes. He has also shown me some invaluable stretching exercises, and given me exercises to do on my own. I can't say enough good things about Scott, and I am truly grateful that I started coming to Lakeview. If you have tried other chiropractors and are frustrated with the experience, lack of attention, and most importantly, frustrated with being in constant pain, definitely give it one more try! read more

I have been a patient of Marty for about 3 years. My sister, my husband, and my husbands co-worker are also patients. I see him because of neck pain and headaches and sometimes plantar fasciitis. Marty is very flexible with scheduling. My sister and I have called him in the past when we are in alot of pain, and he always tries his best to get us in right away. I had only seen one other chiropractor in my life before trying Lakeview Chiropractic. I was having extreme back pain and I started seeing Dr. Marty. He is extremely friendly and kind and explains how everything works and is very patient with you. I also really like how he only sees one patient at a time so his focus is purely on you. I've also seen Dr. Scott who is also great. They have flexible hours and are open on Saturdays which was helpful. I also found that they were almost always running on time and I never had to wait more than a couple minutes which is always appreciated. Dr. Hackett is the best chiropractor I've ever seen hands down. He's not interested in selling you supplements or scheduling unnecessary appointments. His sole desire is helping his patients. He's spent countless hours continuing his education so he can be as knowledgable as possible, and it shows. His understanding of the body and the way everything interacts is amazing. I'm a difficult case as I sustained a permanent back injury years ago that frequently causes pain but won't allow me to be adjusted. This hasn't been an issue because Dr. Hackett is so knowledgable he relieves the pain with massage techniques, stretches and exercises. He's literally taken the place of my physical therapist. I threw my back out lifting a table and needed an adjustment right quick. Couldn't walk Monday AM and called LakeView Chiropractic. I was seen right away. There are two chiropractors here and I was treated by Dr. Marty. I was up and walking after a 30 minute session of adjustments and electro-stimulation with ice. Dr. Marty was great in explaining my mechanism of injury and methodologies used to treat the injury. He is not pushy in scheduling appts. and is always on time. Makes time to fit your schedule as well. Also, he's always in a good mood which makes the experience more tolerable. I came to Lake View Chiropractic in February 2016 with a herniated disc that was connecting to the sciatic nerve. I'm only 31 years old, and someone who enjoys staying active, so this was a cause for concern. When I met Dr. LaBuda, I was in excruciating levels of pain and I was not able to work. Within just under 2 months, Dr. LaBuda had me back at work and I have been without any pain whatsoever. I was so fearful that my pain would never go away and would hinder my ability to get back on my feet and running/working out and staying fit.
