Dr. Paul has been my Chiropractor for 6+ years and the standard of care I've received from him is second to none. When I see him for an ailment, typically felt when weightlifting, he immediately has an idea of the root cause (it helps that he's a powerlifter) and quickly validates in a few minutes. He adjusts and provides the mobility exercises to do on my own and within a few weeks, I'm feeling great! I only see him a few times per year, when something is off. I go for a few weeks (and do my mobility work on my own) and we're done. He doesn't make me visit him weekly, etc. which I found with others. No weekly adjustments, at least for me. He tells me what to work on at home for mobility. Just come in whenever something is off and he'll fix you. On top of his knowledge and professionalism, he makes each session enjoyable and engaging through humor, compassion and conviction. Paul is committed to helping me get better quickly and I can feel that when working with him. I couldn't recommend anyone better. read more

He showed be how poor posture and bad lifting habits caused a disc to bulge and put pressure on the nerve. I have been to Dr Tim three times for three separate issues (my foot hurt, my knee hurt, my back hurt). I can't say enough great things about him! He is very knowledgeable and patient in explaining what the issue is and what the plan is. Most importantly he has always helped get me back to working out in a relatively short timeframe. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Dr. Paul and Dr. Tim and have been a patient since 2013. I first started seeing them due to ongoing back pain, but have also had to attend to knee and hip issues, which stem from back issues. Not only are adjustments and therapy provided, but also "homework" in the form of exercises that will help maintain progress going forward. As an added bonus, my posture has never been better! Most recently I came to Dr. Paul with lower back and hamstring tightness which was also causing fairly significant knee issues/pain. I first came to see Dr. Tim after a general surgeon told me I had a sports hernia and that I needed surgery. This after the surgeon prescribed 6 months of no running, which for a runner, was complete hell. I was running again within days of seeing Dr. Tim (he diagnosed my issue as being hip tightness that was manifesting as if it were a sports hernia), and within 3 weeks my issue was totally gone. After seeing Dr. Tim for years, I've recommended several dozen people to go see him, and all have reported glowing results. I think Chiro is Greek for Quack. I have little faith in the practice. And then I met Dr. Tim. This is probably the last profession you'd expect to refer you to a traditional physician rather than signing you up for a '6 week intensive plan' to 'cure' you. But that is exactly what Dr. Tim did. And he'd call me, more than once, to personally check up on me, and provide advice, never once trying to convince me that I needed to come back to him. I did see him a few times though and was given sound advice, examination and thoughtful instruction. I thought all these positive reviews must be B.S. as one does who sees too many positive Yelp reviews. But this guy (and likely his brother) are the real deal. It's probably because he's Canadian. He was just so honest, and helpful and knowledgeable that I kept waiting for the 'gotcha' moment but it never came. I simply can not recommend this practice highly enough. read more

My review for Physicians Plus is WELL overdue. I have been a patient of this practice for over a year. Over the past year, I have needed a lot of work!!! I first went in to have an assesment made on my back; I had suffered an injury in about 2001 and was still feeling the effects of it. I will never forget the friendly greeting that I received as soon as I entered the door. Jessica was helpful and asked me to fill out a medical questionnaire. She made me feel very comfortable, offering me water and answering my silly questions! Once I got in with Dr. Paul, he assesed me and took a few moments to review his notes. Dr. Paul was clear that my injury could be worked on in a few sessions, that we would start with one, and see how I feel. What I really think set this practice apart from others was that I was being told what the doctor was doing, what I needed to do to continue the therapy and what I could expect if I returned. A few more sessions later, and I felt no need to return. Unfortunely for me, I broke my ankle a few months later. I had been suggested to go to another therapist by my doctor, and was not happy with the impersonal service I was given. I called Dr. Paul letting him know my concerns and he told me to come in when I could and he would be more than happy to help. Now dealing with a recent and obvious injury, this practice did all it could to get educated on what my records showed as well as be congnisent on the treatment that had been previously suggested to me. Dr. Paul was very clear, my treatment under him would require my work at home, but he would do all his best to get me feeling 100% and without surgery. I can say, I am at the best I can be, I still do Dr. Paul's exercises and am preparing for a 200 mile bike ride in July. I feel my occasional visits to Physicians Plus, one most recently to treat a cyst on my wrist again has been met with professionalism and only my best needs put first. I love this place! I was referred here, am finishing up treatment, and have had nothing but an amazing experience. I was in the middle of training for the Chicago Marathon this year and had sudden sharp ankle pain. It seemed to be getting better by itself but when it started acting up again I called and made an appt w. Dr. Tim (insurance pick). I had to wait two days because Dr. Tim was on vaca but the receptionist offered to have him e-mail me so I could get some initial advice and not have to pause training entirely. This was AWESOME, most doctors do not do this and it shows how dedicated they are to their patients as athletes. I was diagnosed with a minor sprained ankle. He told me honestly it could get better on its own or they could do some soft tissue work and therapies. I left thinking maybe my ankle would get better but after additional pain I came in for treatment. Dr Tim was very thorough in his inspection of my ankle each visit, very friendly, and recommended some great exercises treatments. You can tell he truly cares about his patients. My ankle is already on the mend and I'm looking forward to crushing this race in a few weeks! I would definitely refer any friends here read more

I don't have enough good things to say about Dr. Tim and the rest of the staff at Physicians Plus. The entire staff is amazing. They are kind, professional, flexible and most of all very good at what they do. I went to see Dr. Tim thanks to a bad case of golfers elbow. Dr. Tim walked me through all aspects of the treatment, billing, what sort of setbacks I might experience, time table for recovery, etc. Laid everything out for me prior to getting started. Since I started the treatment, my other elbow decided to flare up as well. No problem, Dr. Tim worked in both elbows during the sessions. I'm nearing the end of my ART and I couldn't be happier with the progress, I'm almost completely pain free. I would highly recommend Dr. Tim and Dr. Paul to anyone in need. read more

I can't sing their praises enough!!!!! I saw Dr. Tim in September during my training for the Chicago marathon. I had injured my calf and was devastated. I knew if I called my regular doctor, she'd likely order an MRI (not covered by my insurance) and would tell me I can't run. Seeking an alternative, I stumbled upon this group via Yelp. I figured if they can rehab ultra-marathoners and triathletes. then I'd be an easy fix. Jess was my first contact and she really is amazing. She handled all my insurance information and got me scheduled immediately (same day). This girl knows her stuff and if she ever needs a job, I'd be more than happy to hire her for my office. I ended up seeing Dr. Tim because it's who my insurance preferred. He was awesome....very nice, friendly, and personable, definitely great at what he does. We did ART and physio-taping and within days, I was running pain free. He continued to see me through the marathon (at my request....he never pushed services on me and in fact, was very honest in telling me when he thought I no longer needed his services). Thanks to him, not only did I finish the marathon, but I shattered my time goal. While I never worked with Dr. Paul, he did come introduce himself at my first visit and assured me that he'd be happy to help if I needed anything. I don't need their services currently but I'm happy to recommend them to anyone and everyone who will listen. read more

Unbelievably pleased with my experience at Physician's Plus. My friend Cheryl B referred me to them when I complained about ongoing pain in my hamstring after surgery for a hip labral tear in Sept 2012. It had been almost 2 years since I'd been able to run beyond 1 mile (or sit, stand, or lie down for a long time). I thought my long-distance running days were pretty much over. BUT, just a few weeks after first visiting Dr. Tim (who's super nice!) and I can run 3 miles without pain! He was able to identify the problem as a back issue and give me just a few exercises; so simple & incredibly effective. Very happily, they are also covered by my insurance (Aetna). I found this place via yelp when looking for some assistance with a partially torn calf muscle. Everyone on staff was kind, knowledgable, flexible and most importantly, effective. I believe with all of my heart that the work that they do there helped me recover faster. I cannot even begin to explain how amazing my experience was - and will be, I'm sure, should I need to return - with Dr. Tim and his coworkers. I was first referred here by Jessica N. (Yelp review on 8/28/2012) and am so thankful I took her advice. I was told by another PT that I had a stress fracture in my left shin and should stop running for at least two months. I did so, but upon running two light miles after two months of rest, the pain was just as bad as it was. I wanted a second opinion and went to Dr. Tim. His goal is to keep patients in their sport unless it's absolutely necessary for them to take time away, which I greatly appreciate. To make a long story short, I did not have a stress fracture, and after a few weeks of therapy I was back running at full speed and even ran personal bests in a half-marathon, half-Ironman, and full marathon within 2-3 months of working with him. I have frequented Physicians Plus many, many times over the past 8 years or so. Though I have had appointments with both doctors, I usually see Dr. Paul. However, Dr. Paul & Dr. Tim are both very effective, efficient, and trustworthy. They listen carefully as when I have an injury but cannot determine the cause of the issue, working to discern whether there are additional underlying issues to address instead or in addition. They are trained in a variety of techniques, applying different ones depending on your needs.They also use stim and heat following or prior to each office visit, which always feels good on sore muscles. They prescribe follow-up exercises that always make the pain better/more manageable in between visits. Treatment duration depends on the severity of the need. I have often needed to visit the office several weeks in a row and 1-3x per week before I have permanent resolution of issues. But, I have never left a single appointment feeling worse than when I entered. I have recommended Physicians Plus to family members, friends and colleagues- all of whom have been happy with their treatment, as well. read more

Therefore they are really professional and this facility is cozy and nice. they offer water and have mints out for clients. Last year they treated an IT Band injury, and I was able to run the marathon almost pain free. I have always been a skeptic of back crunching and cracking... I also think that home therapy will take care of any soreness or ailment I have. With that said, upon referrals I went to Physicians Plus for therapy to my very stiff and sore middle and lower back. Dr. Paul has been incredibly thorough and the staff as whole are great. I first started seeing Dr. Tim a few months ago, after dealing with 4+ years of chronic tightness and pain in my upper back. Over the course of several appointments, for two months, Dr. Tim was able to work the knots out my back and help me regain the mobility that was lacking for years. He is a very sharp, and friendly, chiropractor who knows how to plan and execute the proper strategy to make an aging athlete feel like new again :-) An extra bonus is that his staff is also very friendly and helpful....I highly recommend anyone with back issues to go see Dr. Tim -- he is a great chiropractor and an even better person.
