Members of my family and I have been seeing Praneeth for the last few years for various issues and i continue to recommend him to anyone who needs physical therapy. I am a runner and he knows body mechanics than anyone. Here's why he is so sought after: 1) He is very knowledgeable and takes a holistic approach to healing and recovery. If I have an ankle injury, he Is also concerned with other related muscles that may also need to be strengthened in addition to the ankle for a full recovery. 2) He takes the time to answer questions and customize the exercises. He is very patient and takes the time to ensure that I understand what is behind each exercise. 3) This is not a cookie cutter "big box" PT place. You will get one on one attention without 6 other clients in the same space. This is a private studio with you as the only client and you will get all of attention from the PT, Praneeth. 4) He always helps me understand the pathway to getting better, therefore, I had a good sense of expectations for my recovery. He asks what your goals are and helps to achieve them. I could go on and on but you get the idea. I trust him and his practice and want others to benefit from this great place.

He is always accommodating to my busy schedule and takes time to provide the best care possible. As a competitive athlete, it's reassuring to have someone who can relate to and is knowledgeable about ankle injuries and competitive sports from personal experiences and working with other athletes. Praneeth is easy going and is always willing to answer questions or provide exercises and suggestions on how best to work on stability and strengthening outside of therapy. Thanks for all that you do!

I suffer from back pain and at the recommendation of my primary doctor, started going to Rush PT…read more I assumed that they were part of the Rush hospital system. But after reviewing the Yelp, i now realize it is actually some company called "Novacare". For the last 2 months, I have been going here once a week. The facility is very small and cramped, the equipment is a bit bare. But the main problem is that there is only 1 or 2 actual Physical Therapists in the office at a time, while there are 3-5 patients scheduled for the same time. Each session is about 50-60 minutes long. But the actual time with the PT is really about 15 minutes (as Gina F mentioned in her review). The PT shows you the exercise movements about 2-3 times, then has you do 2-3 reps, makes some corrections, tells you to do 2-3 more sets by yourself, and then wanders off to work with another patient or to type something in the computer without really paying any attention to you. If the PT had already shown you an exercise before, she may just hand you off to a Student/Intern and have them run through the exercise with you. But again, the student also is not paying any attention to you while doing the exercise and is instead busy chatting with each other. Ultimately, my time ended when the PT said, she didn't think PT was working for me. Sometimes, I would realize later that I was doing the exercise wrong a few sessions later, when the actual PT showed it to me again. But I do admit, I didn't do my home exercises everyday, but only 3-4 days a week at home. Conclusion, - I would recommend you look for a better office that has more space so patients don't bump into each other. I would also recommend a PT office that offers One on One PT to patient services instead. I will be trying a different PT office and see if that is more helpful.

This is place a factory, with several patients going at once in the small space. I suspect the…read moreoutput of the factory is invoices, not care. The conditions I sought care for were unresolved, and I ended up with a massive bill for working 10-15 minutes with a PT and 45 minutes with a student. Fun fact: I'd been going for weeks before they realized my "plan" wasn't even in the computer. Then how were you reviewing and adjusting? My symptoms did not improve, but worsened, and after 12 visits I stopped going and doing the "exercises". It took about 2 months, but eventually the pains caused by following their care went away for the most part (resurfaces on the treadmill but at least it's no longer daily), as did one of the 2 concerns I came in for (lower back better, but tip of tailbone will probably take a while) . Over Thanksgiving I was visiting family out of state and my brother, a brilliant physical therapist, asked how my PT was going. He was surprised when I told him about the assigned exercises, which he didn't think were addressing the issue, and stunned to learn that after their care caused pain in my hips, they kept having me do exercises that exacerbated that pain and performed no adjustments. This isn't Rush caliber care. Perhaps they lack adequate experience, but I'm not prepared to pay for the learning curve. I went back to the gym and definitely avoiding this place. Just got my bill (last visit in November) and the charges are outrageous. $330-400 per visit to mostly do ineffective exercises with a student. I tried to call the billing dept and negotiate the bill down since the service was ineffective and actually did harm, but they refused. 2 stars because the people at this location are nice and probably did their best.

He is a seasoned therapist who has a wealth of knowledge and experience as a PT. Moreover, his professional demeanor and friendly attitude made each of the sessions a pleasure. They reached out to me the next day, and my appointment was confirmed over the phone for 1/28 at 6:30 pm when they reached out to me. I left work early (over an hour from the North suburbs to the north side of Chicago) to make the appointment at FIT institute at 6:30 tonight and I got a call from them, around 6:15, asking if I'm running late to my appointment at 6pm... I called them back, explaining that I was on the way and my appointment was for 6:30, per my first interaction. They put me on hold for a minute and then came back and said that no, they were so sorry, but they didn't have a 'therapist on site' for an appointment starting at 6:30 tonight and would love to reschedule. No thanks.

I am a veteran of PT rehab stints having had two hip replacements, two rotator cuff surgeries, and one hip labrum tear surgery over the past 25+ years. I believe I know a thing or two about effective PT therapy. Not to take anything away from Athletico, who treated all of my above issues, the Elevate PT team is a significant cut above the typical PT practice. What stands them apart is their deep attentiveness to proper form and function, plus utilizing a frequent change of protocol to both challenge me and keep me motivated. Shivani's goal is not to just get me back to some sort of "status quo", but to make lasting improvements that leaves me better off than before my arrival at her practice. She also taught me many things that I could incorporate on my own to better manage my lower back issues, and those have proven to be quite useful. She pointed out and fixed things wrong with my gait and posture that no one had ever pointed out to me before. Her knowledge and ability to present it in non medical terms is really terrific. All the while doing this with an incredibly friendly and fun demeanor. After all was said and done, I was so impressed with Elevate's practice that I sent my wife there who unfortunately fractured her femur (surgery, rods and screws...the whole works) shortly after I completed my stint. She is working with both Shivani and Maneesha and is thrilled with the treatment she is receiving. What better recommendation could there be than sending a family member?
