There are few things more difficult to find than good chiropractors. But Dr. Marion at Lincoln Park Chiropractic is one of them. After my insurance changed, I had to find a new chiropractor who was in-network. And after trying out a few others, I was so lucky to find Dr. Marion to help me with my neck pain and migraines. On my first visit, I could barely turn my head to check my blind spots while driving. I walked out feeling so much better, and my normal range of motion returned in a month. Now, nearly a year later, I still see Dr. Marion for my migraines, and he's helped them tremendously. Whenever I do have a migraine, his adjustments make them all but disappear within 15 minutes. And with regular adjustments, they've been so much less frequent. I was searching for chiropractors after being in a car accident and having whiplash and was very pleased to find Dr. Peter Zid. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly was willing to work around my work schedule to make appointments so I could get back to normal. I was also very pleased by the fact that he treated and released me based solely on my condition, not on how much money he could get from my insurance company. I have gone to him several other times for regular adjustments when my back or neck feels out of "whack" and again he has treated & released me based on how I feel after treatments. I've been going to Dr. Zid for over 2 years now and I am constantly pleased with his treatments. He explains things in a very approachable yet informative way and takes into consideration the stresses you put on your body - ie i'm a runner. It's never hard to get an appointment and he is very willing to work with insurance and not having insurance alike. I have known Dr. Zid for a couple of years as well as visiting him several times for chiropractic sessions. A consummate professional who doesn't sell or stuff anything in your face except what is needed to help you get better. I went to Brian for a strained IT Band. I did his exercises for two weeks and did not see any improvement so I went to someone else who actually provided me some relief rather quickly. When talking to Brian about insurance it always seemed he was making it way more complicated than any other chiropractor I have been to. He told me from the beginning that I would be charged more than my copay for some reason. I paid my usual copays at both visits for a chiropractor. Brian then billed me for 3 separate visits (even though I only went to him twice), he said it would help me financially but in my opinion he was just doing it for himself, I am fairly certain this is health insurance fraud (he told me what he was doing was illegal on the phone). Once he reluctantly switched the billing to two visits instead of three, he continued to keep billing me for more than my copays ($30 each visit) because he believed he was right and would not call the health care provider to find out the truth. I called United health care to clarify my copays and Brian only stopped and listened to them once they sent him a balance bill (if he got two of those they would put his "in network" status under review). Once Brian realized he was wrong he did apologize which I genuinely appreciated. I am writing this review because I do not want him to take advantage of people who do not check with their health care providers on how much they owe their doctors. read more

I was impressed with his education and when i sat down with him for our first session he took the time to analyze what was going on and talked about strategies to improve my pain. Called to use an expired Groupon which he said he still honor and put it towards my final bill. However, there was also an exam and X-rays that was going to bring up the final bill so much that the Groupon really doesn't do anything unless you sign up for his discount program which is 49 dollars just to sign up! Even then the total bill is only discounted. I explained that all I needed was an adjustment nothing major was wrong. He said he won't work on me without x rays and exam and all this extra stuff. However I went to another chiropractor that didn't require x rays, did a normal adjustment, and charged less than my co pay. An exam I understand to charge for but X-rays?? I've never had x rays done at a chiropractor for just a routine adjustment. Kinda felt like I was being ripped off. At this point it's cheaper to not use my Groupon. read more

I came to visit this practice and Dr. Brian Marion through having a You Swoop certificate for a free exam. I had a severe neck injury/condition which for over a year various chiropractors and doctors could do nothing to alleviate my pain and suffering. In fact, a few made it worse. Dr. Marion addressed my problems immediately and I started experiencing relief in less than 3 weeks, and it would have been sooner had I been able to visit twice weekly as he recommended, but could not due to the lengthy drive from the suburbs to the office. A month after coming to Dr. Marion I definitely noticed a change for the better and now can at least function normally without the pain and aggravation which basically ruined a year for me. I also decided to come twice weekly due to the remarkable results. I have used MULTIPLE chiropractors over the years and what separates Dr. Marion from the others is he gets to know his patients as well as what works for YOU. He is totally open and honest with you. I have had too many doctors where you are only treated like a weekly appointment, to be rushed in and rushed out, and brought back the next week for more of the same My visits with Dr. Marion consist of a consultation on my healing progression, followed by an adjustment, further treatment of the affected areas, as well as various exercises as he sees fit. In short, good old time medicine. If you have ANY type of back or neck issue, this would be the first place I would visit. I'm angry I did not come sooner. I don't know where I would be-physically AND mentally-had I not found this practice. I live about 40 miles from his office and have no problem driving into the city weekly for my visit. In the few weeks that I have been seeing Dr. Brian Marion at Lincoln Park Chiropractic, I have had amazing results. At my initial visit, Dr. Marion took the time to address all the issues I noted on his intake form including those outside the realm of my musculoskeletal system. During my first treatment, I was amazed by Dr. Marion's ability to focus on my jaw, neck, lower back, and knees in the time allotted. After that first treatment, the constant dull ache in my lower back disappeared, my knee pain was significantly reduced, and my jaw tension improved so much that I actually had to learn to adapt to life without it. Dr. Marion is also helping me address a more chronic problem I have with my vestibular system. Three years ago, I developed vertigo seemingly out of the blue. Since then, I have struggled to keep it under control. The only thing I have found helpful is chiropractic adjustments. Prior to moving to Chicago, I regularly saw a chiropractor who was able to (after a lot of trial and error) reduce the vertigo to almost nothing. When I moved to Chicago I was worried about seeing someone new as I was afraid they would not be able to help. However, Dr. Marion was able to correct the issue right away. In one or two treatments, I was experiencing relief. Occasionally, my symptomology worsens for reasons beyond his control. Dr. Brian is a great chiropractor! My husband and I recently started his program and I feel relief after my visits. Your first visit will be a good hour long and the rest are usually 20-30mins. He gets to know what your symptoms are first and talks to you about how he will approach it and any other important information. He went the extra mile for us and contacted our insurance carrier to see what kind of benefits we had. He really knows his stuff and is super cool. He gave us stretches to do at home and it's really easy to do. He makes sure you understand what's going on and is open to any questions. I really liked Dr. Zid and I felt like he did a good job on explaining everything and doing my adjustment. He did answer the phone while we were doing our consultation, which I didn't like, but he didn't have a receptionist so maybe he had to. He did a great job of accommodating me with fees since he doesn't participate w/BCBS HMO, and he does a lot of work with athletes and dancers. He had some signs saying to "ask him about vitamin supplements" which I was apprehensive of, but he didn't even mention them. All in all, a great first session! read more

I have and would recommend Dr. Marion to family and friends. I have been seeing Dr. Marion for over 6 years now. I have had asthma all my life. As a result my back has hurt for about as long, due to the strain it was under when I would have attacks. Dr. Marion's approach to my manipulations have helped me with alleviating that pain and maintaining it between visits. Dr. Brian Marion of Lincoln Park Chiropractic is the best! I came to him in January after a bad fall with excruciating pain that moved throughout my left arm and back. I could barely sleep and pain relievers didn't solve the problem. Through a series of diagnostic exercises, he determined exactly what was causing the problem. After just a couple visits, the pain had lessened and I was on my way to recovery.  He clearly explained all phases of treatment and provided at-home exercises to help as well. Dr. Marion is actually amazing. I had chronic back pain for years, and after months of my boyfriend pleading, I ended up in Dr. Marion's office. After only a few months of seeing him, my non-stop back, knee, hip (i mean you name it!) is almost gone. It used to be that I could only go a few minutes standing without pain, and now I am pain free all day. When I do get pain, it is a lot less severe. My insurance was incredibly difficult about my visits, but Dr. Marion has appealed and helped me get coverage every step of the way. He has gone above and beyond to help me. I went to see Dr. Marion with lower back pain and I purchased a Groupon for an X ray, consultation and adjustment. When I arrived, the office was very small and kind of dirty and unorganized with water stains on every ceiling tile, but I figured not to judge a book by it's cover. Although he was very nice, I did not have the best experience with this business. Dr. Marion spent 55 minutes talking about his certifications and boosting his own ego (and using terms that are above most people's head that have not gone to school in this field) and 5 minutes adjusting my neck rather than my back which was in the most pain. He also at one point referred to me as "one of the groupon people" and told me all the issues hes had with those people in the past, which really made me uncomfortable. I also felt that he was trying to get me to come back for an extended period of time, and as I realize I may need to do that for long time relief, I was simply there for an adjustment. He spent the first 35 minutes having me tell him every single instance that I have had any sort of headache or back pain and for how long, and when I did not use the proper terms, he made me feel as if I was not as smart as him and was continuously correcting me and quizzing me along the way through my adjustment. I have been to countless Chiropractors and Physical Therapists due to my injury to my back, and this is by far the worst experience I've had. I left in more pain than I had gone in with and I would not recommend my family and friends to visit this Chiropractor. read more

Dr Marion is a chiropractic magician. I am a touring musician and had to take my chances on a random new doctor when I threw my neck out on tour. The day before, a chiropractor in Pittsburgh worked on my neck and if anything made it worse, when I came to Dr Marion's office today I couldn't even shake his hand I was in such excruciating pain. He was such a sweet guy, much younger than I expected, and of course since my experience with the Doctor the day before was so miserable I wasn't expecting much. He was so thorough, asking me every question that could affect his treatment, and then ran diagnostics on my muscle and spine as well. His adjustment and treatment took less than an hour, and I swear within two hours of visiting his office my unbearable pain was almost completely gone. Vanished, seriously I've never seen such a dramatic change without the use of m painkillers. This man is worth every penny, and I couldn't recommend him higher. read more

I believe he takes the time and care to analyze, fix, and make sure you understand the problem at hand. DR. BRIAN MARION IS AN EXTRAORDINARY CHIROPRACTOR! After suffering from moderate to severe neck pain for several years, I went online to search for a chiropractor in my neighborhood. When I came across several positive reviews for Dr. Marion, I immediately scheduled an appointment. His kind demeanor and compassion immediately put me at ease. He asked a series of questions to get to the root of my pain, and offered inexpensive solutions to get me better. The treatments I receive go above and beyond basic adjustments and electrotherapy treatments, as Dr. Marion constantly gives me simple exercises to strengthen my muscles while at home or work. (These exercises would be considered simple to 98% of the population. On days when I'm in the 2% bracket, Dr. Marion will patiently go over them several times until he knows I get it, all without making me feel like the village idiot.) My only regret is procrastinating and not finding this practice sooner.
