It is my opinion that rex smith is a Sad excuse for a doctor. In my experience he seemed arrogant,…read morelacking patient skills, and may be prone to misdiagnosis. I went to him several years ago. He didn't seem to concerned and eventually ended up diagnosing me with multiple neuromas. He just couldn't say I don't know. He didn't want to treat me because he didn't really know, but he couldn't say that. He told me I should go home and stay off my feet for three or four months and I'd be OK. I asked him if he would write that as prescription for short term disability and physical therapy, but he wouldn't, because he knew he didn't know. He just threw out something that was impossible to do so he didn't have to say he didn't know. I then went to another podiatrist immediately diagnosed my problems as peripheral neuropathy and was able to give me a medication that worked. Thank God there are doctors who know, and good doctors will tell you they don't know if they don't know. There are some really good Podiatrist in town in my opinion, this isn't one of them. If I were you, I think I'd book someplace else.

I was appalled at the front desk help. This lady was like Cruella Deville. She was rude,…read moredisrespectful, and just plain unhappy. The doctor diagnosed my friend without even doing a physical exam and then did not refer her on for testing or further treatment. He gave her a foot orthotic..of course, because orthotics are priced over 110% of their worth. If you want real treatment and a friendly atmosphere, go somewhere else. Because if you choose this doctor and you need something else done, it will be Miss Deville answering your call. I was not impressed and I have been in the medical field over 25 years. Then you have Rex Smith answering your message; and quite frankly, I believe it will be a lazy answer.

After a few years of trying to decide whether I needed to stop in at the Eugene store, my knee pain…read morewas so great that I knew something had to be done. When we went in we were greeted by Dave who immediately made us feel at home. After diagnosing what we needed, we tried the inserts out by walking around the store. After two laps around the showroom, I felt a significant reduction in pain, while my wife's pronation problem disappeared. We bought the program along with four pairs of shoes that we REALLY love. After the sticker shock wore off, and it is now a month later, we are still amazed at the difference in our walk. We are doing more and having more fun than we have had in a long time. Last week we returned to the store and met the district manager Katie and Kevin from the Spokane store. They were extremely nice and glad to get our positive feedback. As far as being expensive, I had to realize that we did buy four pairs of top line shoes. I researched their pricing on the shoes and found that they did not mark them up. So we are happy campers! Thanks Dave and all the crew. Jack and Linda Buday

Top things to know before you go: 1) Be prepared to spend…read more$1500+ 2) They do not/will not refund ANY of your money no matter what 3) Staff seem genuine if misguided They have you go through a whole fitting process and they make you buy 3 inserts plus accessories "for free". But you don't know how much it costs until they ring it all up. And maybe your feet/back/whatever felt better in the 20 steps you took in the store. But for me, that changed immediately. I was back within 48 hours to get re-sized or whatever you want to call it. Also I wanted to return my unused relaxers because FYI this whole system "requires" you to wear these things all the time. I don't and will not wear shoes every waking moment. So I asked to return them and get maybe $500 back (my package cost $1800+). Doesn't matter what you do or try to say, they won't give you money back. This policy is NOT advertised either before or during the whole purchase process. The small print on the receipt is carefully worded to avoid the word "refund". Everywhere else in the modern world offers refunds. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I've experienced. Had this been explained to me during the whole fitting, I would not have purchased them. I've been back three times to change mine out and I still have foot pain (originally came in for plantar fasciitis). Am very seriously considering a BBB complaint. I am lucky in that I have a medical reimbursement account to help with the costs of this waste of money. Maybe there are people out there that truly experienced relief of their problems with Good Feet but so far that seems few and far between. Staff, as I mentioned, are nice, soft spoken and seem as if they truly want to help whatever ails you. But it does not justify the rest.

Went to er trays couldn't tell anything because it was so swollen. Went to see Dr Hudson, was in a boot already from ER. She has wonderful gray machine and had to have an MRI as I tore the tendon that goes over the ankle bone laterally all the way through. She did surgery. Found I had also broken it when she got in there. It was a long rehab, but she was very supportive and also very insistent that the boot be worn 24 hours a day. It's a 90 angle that has to be maintained or your chances of having a good result a not good. She knows what she's talking about, but is very down to earth and straight shooter about making sure that the surgery turns out well. Office staff was wonderful.

Getting anyone on the phone is nearly impossible, and when you leave messages, they often go unanswered. When I finally did manage to speak with someone, the staff were rude, unprofessional, and even hung up on me. After dealing with these ongoing issues, I lost all confidence in this office. I was so dissatisfied with my experience that I requested my insurance company remove them from its preferred provider network. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Patients deserve honest billing, professional communication, and basic respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I was referred to Dr McCourt when I needed a bone spur removed. I was surprised that my podiatrist…read morereferred me as he does surgeries. After reading Dr. McCourt's CV I saw that he is a very skilled surgeon. After meeting Dr. McCourt, I found that he is very personable and was very thorough explaining what was going on in my ankle. He was thorough with the examinations and the diagnostic tests. Prior to the surgery he explained some of the things that could go wrong with my type of surgery. I have some health problems that make surgery more difficult. He dealt with that and I have had a beautiful outcome from the surgery. I would highly recommend him. I read the other reviews and I have to say that when shopping for a surgeon a small parking lot really isn't a concern for me It's not like he's my primary care doctor and I'm going to have to be seeing him all the time. As for the office staff, theory were friendly and helpful to me. The skill of the surgeon is the deciding factor for me not the office staff or the parking lot.

I NEVER write reviews. Let me preface this by saying that…read more I was referred to Eugene Foot and Ankle after being seen at PeaceHealth for a potential broken foot. My X-rays at the hospital were inconclusive and said that EF&A would get back to me to schedule within a week or two. To my surprise, they called me the next day! I was thrilled as I was leaving the following week to go home for Christmas. The pain in my foot was insurmountable and I really just wanted answers, sooner rather than later. Even without insurance, it would be worth it to finally know what was happening. The day of my visit, I am not greeted. Rather glared at. I stand I front of both front desk "ladies" Jamie and Cindy as they hardly look up from their computers to speak to me. They rudely ask what they can do for me I say I have an appt they follow up with new patient paperwork yada yada whatever. I fill out the paperwork and as I'm doing so they get real close and start whispering about me, not very slick ladies. You might wanna try harder next time when you're in a dead silent office and I'm right in front of you. I hand Cindy the paperwork and she, in the same rude tone, asks me for my insurance and ID. I said I don't have insurance. (As I've stated multiple times on the phone when I was scheduling this appt.) She said okay and I ask what the payment for the appt is going to be, she gives me a range of $150-350 of which I couldn't afford that day unfortunately. I recognize that there's nothing they can do about the price and no way of knowing what it was going to be exactly until after the appt, that's fine. I'm not unreasonable. But what's fully in their control? Their attitude and treatment of their potential clients. I'm highly considering saying F it and going somewhere else because of how rude, unprofessional, and callous these women are to someone who is obviously broke, in pain, and out of options. Maybe keep that in mind that these people are the first impression of this business, and if the doctors are anything like them, I'm good. I'd rather keep limping around a few more weeks and find somewhere else, and upon reading other reviews it appears I'm making the right decision.
