Fun idea of a Speakeasy under Jams. Going down the stairs I wasn't convinced that my daughter knew where we were headed but when we opened the unmarked door we were in a beautiful cocktail lounge. We sat at the bar and waited 15 minutes before the bartender acknowledged our presence. There were three waitstaff on duty and they seemed a bit overwhelmed but hard working. Drinks were inventive and I had the Zombie. It was stunning and served flaming! Didn't detect the absinthe but enjoyed it anyway. Daughter had an Old Fashioned which was strong and delicious. No food available but great place to meet friends for a drink. I would give this a 3 but daughter lobbied for a 4. Bartender needs a hand towel instead of his pants and should acknowledge patrons waiting in my opinion. read more

This place was shocking. Had no idea it was going to be so awesome on so many levels. The vibe and decor are amazing. You def feel like you have been transported out of Omaha to someplace very unique. The service was excellent, the bartender was clever and quite a showman. I'm from out of town - and had heard about this place from the locals- it sounded cool- so I decided to give it a try. I went with two girlfriends on St Paddy's day- My friends live here in Omaha, are also business owners, and were also curious about this place. When we walked in- we were the ONLY ones there, besides the two guys working behind the bar. We were NOT greeted by them, rather WE greeted THEM. We sat ourselves and soon figured out that we would not be waited on table side. So we went to the bar and ordered drinks. They were brought to our table and they were very good- hence the only two stars I am going to give this review. We then ordered a charcuterie board, and when it came out, the bartender that delivered it told us that they didn't have any crackers-or bread for the board, so he'd take a couple of bucks off of the price of the board. WHAT?! So we asked him if the restaurant upstairs, JAMS, would have any, and he told us we'd have to go ask- since they are separate businesses..... Ok then. We went upstairs and requested bread or crackers. They sold us 12 pieces of small bruschetta style bread for $13. I mean- come on, what kind of service is this? You deliver the charcuterie board and THEN tell us that there are no crackers or bread to layer the meat and cheeses on? We were never checked back in on. Our table candles were never lit. We had to ask for utensils, napkins AND plates. The customer service was non existent. Horrible. Such a let down. We definitely will not return- and certainly will never recommend this place. You'd think that as a small business, and with the current state of the world that a business such as this would be appreciative of the patronage- since so many businesses have not survived shut downs due to Covid. We did not feel welcome or appreciated. Bad manners on their part and poor business etiquette. read more

Very cozy and well appointed with a great variety of craft cocktails. It was very loud when we arrived, then luckily the music was turned down so you could actually carry on a conversation without screaming, so we stayed for two! read more

Had high expectations for this place bc west O lacks real cocktail bars. The interior is very cool, especially the drop light with a little instruction written on it. Realizing this establishment is new and no reviews, I must be honest, the drinks and service were very poor. For 13 bucks a cocktail, you should be happy, real happy. Wait time and timely delivery of drinks were also extremely long even when considering craft cocktail mix times. Drink one - dirty martini vodka extra olive; was mixed with gin, got one olive, and the martini was room temp. Told the waitress that the martini was warm and mixed with the wrong spirit, didn't seem to care. Had another drink off the menu and was once again a bit disappointed. Tab'd out and moved on. I will be back but going to give it time for things to get in order. read more

I have never been treated so poorly... the staff was very arrogant and abrupt. When I am paying for upscale craft cocktails, I would appreciate a simple smile. I've been waiting for a place like this to open up in West O for ages! This bar has a Wonderland theme and a definite downtown feel...one can easily forget that you're actually in a basement below Jam's. The bar is absolutely gigantic and from the looks of it they have every liquor ever made. With such a treasure trove to work with I felt they could have offered more unique drinks but perhaps that's coming further down the line. Everything I ordered was decent enough, but not very strong, tasting mostly of juice. My server was very friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The bouncer was rude as hell when we entered and a smiling little beam of sunshine when we left, so don't ask me to try explaining that one! Overall I enjoyed the experience enough to go back from time to time but I doubt this will become a new favorite. I think it would be an awesome place to take visiting friends though, due to the striking decor and uniqueness. read more

Service is a joke. $13 for a beer is a joke. $13 for cocktails is a joke when you can't make them in a reasonable length of time and then serve them to the customers. I could've gone to bartender school and come back and made the drinks myself before they were served. Awful. read more

This speakeasy located in West Omaha has a lot of appeal. The place has beautiful decor and a large variety of cocktails like its sister bar in downtown, Wicked Rabbit. I came on a Sunday evening so there was plenty of seating. Cocktails were nice, but the music in the background was all wrong for the atmosphere they are working for. It wasn't loud, though, so at least it made conversation easy. The waiter was very inexperienced. Only 2 drinks were ordered and he had to return because he forgot one of them. He brought out every drink separately carrying each with 2 hands - very awkward. He came back to check on us multiple times and was kind enough, but he was very slow for a slow night and quite unpolished and graceless. Hoping once this place gets busier and staff more experienced that some changes will be made. read more

This bar was so fun and different for the Omaha area. The drinks were both tasty and refreshing, and we were told that they could be flexible with the drink recipes to make something we like. They were pricy ($13 each) but these were made very well and the atmosphere is worth it for a special night out. Love the Alice in Wonderland theme. I would love to come here at a time it is busier, as there was only one other group here at the time. At the end we were offered their $3 Sunday shot, which was also amazing. Highly recommend a night out here for something different, or topping off a dinner night out with stopping by here! read more

After going to the Wicked Rabbit - we were all about trying to go to Alice. The space is much bigger and way easier to find - which was a bit disappointing since the mystery of locating a speakeasy is part of the fun. We were excited to arrive - then it took about 20 to 30 minutes to get our drinks. The 3 drinks I got were great, just a lengthy wait time each time and also seeing people that arrived after us get their drinks first was unfortunate. It also smelled like sewer and to the point where we decided to leave because that's all we could smell. I'm not sure I would come back again. The Wicked Rabbit was a much better experience. read more

My wife and I went this weekend and had a really good time here. The atmosphere and service was really great. Really awesome decor, everything down to the menu was on theme. Only reason this isn't 5 stars we're the drinks themselves we're not amazing. Both tasted off proportion, and we're a little too sweet. We had a baby shower today at Alice, and I had to write a post for them. We could not have been happier with the accommodations and staff.
