Ended our Hocking Hills weekend trip with lunch at Jimbo's, and it was our best meal of the trip!…read moreThe burgers were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, the french fries tasted like the county fair, Yum!, and the pork tenderloin sandwich was exactly the way you want a pork tenderloin sandwich to be. Thin, tender, crispy. And the onion rings... Oh, the onion rings! Don't miss out on ordering these, fantastic! Beer selection is all in cans, but excellent. We sat outside on a lovely day, and our server, Bridget, took excellent care of us! Don't miss this spot if you are in the area!

They mostly serve beer on tap I believe and the drinks they have are more seltzers in a can than an actual mixed cocktail. My boo ordered the Jimbo's burger which was a pretty big burger and he substitute cheese for bleu cheese. The burger was very big and fulfilling. The bleu cheese gave it a different taste that imma definitely have to try again. I ordered the buffalo wings which were so good and super saucy, I just wish the wings were fried hard before being coated. The waitresses were so nice and gave us a few recommendations on where to go to hike at the trails etc. The burger filled my boo up so I know it was pretty good 10/10 will have to come revisit

We were at Hocking Hills with friends for the Memorial Day weekend and stopped by at 58 West to…read moregrab some lunch. Not realizing that outside was covered patio we first opted to sit inside but then we noticed the covered patio and requested to be seated outside and thanks to our lucky stars, the hostess obliged and we got seated outside in the covered patio to enjoy the perfect Memorial weekend weather. We ordered some drinks (not pictured) - I ordered an Espresso Martini while husband ordered a beer, friends ordered a couple of other drinks - a berry smash, a Sauvignon and more beer for the guys. The cocktails were amazing and delicious. We ordered a couple of shareables (Tirokafteri and Colcannon Cakes) as well which were both of course were so scrumptious that we forgot to click pics! So I made sure I clicked pics of as many mains/ entrees I could. A friend and I, ordered fried chicken sandwiches (his with fries, mine with chips, I also asked my brioche be subbed with Sourdough which both our waitress and chef were kind enough to comply), husband ordered a 58 burger, another friend ordered the Italian Chicken flatbread and another ordered a Portobello entree with a side of Caprese salad (added grilled Chicken). The fried chicken was ok, I've had better ones and unfortunately for me it gave me a bad tum as I spent the rest of the day feeling queasy. The husband said his burger was amazing, the flatbread, portobello and caprese were all absolutely delectable. Thankfully everyone enjoyed their lunch including kiddos who had Mac and cheese and a cheese pizza.

If you're looking for that laid-back, small-town bar vibe with live music and solid bar food,…read moreTavern 62 might be your spot. When you pull into the parking lot, you're greeted with signs promoting Bike Night and upcoming events, which immediately tells you this place has a loyal following. They even have an outdoor stage for bands, so I can imagine this place really comes alive in the warmer months. Inside, it's dimly lit with more of a bar feel than a traditional restaurant. Neon signs and posters line the walls, and a few TVs are scattered around the room. It's a smaller place -- maybe a dozen tables or so -- but it had a nice mix of people. There were clearly some locals or regulars hanging at the bar, a couple of families having dinner, and a few couples like us. It felt comfortable and unpretentious. Our bartender/server came right over, welcomed us, took our drink order, and grabbed our food order without missing a beat. The menu is fairly small -- mostly bar food staples, a couple of salads, a few pizzas, and sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just the kind of stuff you expect in a neighborhood tavern. I ordered the Porky Burger. It comes with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and their "famous Porky's sauce." Here's where it got interesting -- the tomatoes were cut into wedges instead of slices, the lettuce was chopped, and the onions were diced small. A little different presentation than I'm used to, but it worked. The Porky's sauce tasted mayo-based with some spices mixed in -- not exactly sure what's in it, but it was flavorful and tied everything together nicely. The burger itself was seasoned well and juicy -- definitely not dry -- and it came on a soft bun that held up to all the toppings. On the side were what I'd call "twister fries" -- kind of like a steak fry that got twisted along the way. They were crispy and seasoned well. Overall, I really enjoyed my burger. My wife ordered the Italian sub with beer-battered onion rings. She said the meat on the sub had a spicy kick -- a little too spicy for her taste -- so she only ate about half. But she did really enjoy the onion rings. They also offer daily specials, and Tuesday's deal is hard to beat: an 8oz steak, baked potato, side salad, and roll for $16. That's a great value. All in all, if you're in the mood for a dive bar atmosphere, live music vibes, and a good burger or classic bar food, Tavern 62 is worth checking out.
