Great place to hang out, have a few beers, and meet a family. My favorite bar since 2007 when I moved to Ohio.

Ruben sandwich was good. Onion rings were just alright. Service was friendly.

On a recent trip from OH to TN I decided to stop at a tack & feed that was only 5 minutes off my…read moreroute. Looking for something besides highway fast food offerings, I asked the gentleman at the store if there was anywhere good to eat. He directed me to this place where the bartender was great, the back patio was good dog friendly, and the candied bacon BLT (add cheddar) contained the best candied bacon I have ever had. It was delicious! The unsweet tea actually tasted fresh brewed, not over stewed, and was refreshing. I will definitely make the short detour any time I travel up or down the 71 during their open hours.

Sterling, OH 43143 (740) 831-4018 This morning I rolled into Hammer Time Pub for a little Saturday Morning Fuel-Up and decided to go big or go home. Enter the Tool Kit #3 -- or as I like to call it, The Philly Cheesesteak Meets Tater Tot Avalanche. Base layer: crispy golden tater tots Perfectly seasoned Philly cheesesteak beef Mushrooms, onions, peppers Ghost pepper cheese bringing the heat Friends... this was a LOT of food. Like, "better have your morning cleared" kind of food. As a Philly cheesesteak fan, this hit me right in the taste buds. And with the EMS station right across the street, I felt comforted knowing my #CardiacCare plan was already in place. Yes, it was a little salty -- but hey, it's pub food. That's like complaining your milkshake is too sweet. #Hypertension Verdict: Awesome food, hearty portions, and a hometown vibe that makes you want to linger. If you're at Deer Creek State Park, it's just a short hop for great eats, chill vibes, and good company. Bald White Guy Official Rating: ‍‍‍ (3 1/2 Bald Heads) Why did the tater tot go to therapy? Because it felt a little fried inside. #BaldWhiteGuyReviews #SupportLocal #HammerTimePub #TaterTotGoals #PhillyCheesesteakLove #DeerCreekEats #ChillVibesBigBites #Hypertension #DadJoke #mountsterling

Yes, there is an Irish pub in Portsmouth! 100% recommend! The venue came highly recommended by some…read moregood friends....So, I tested their words by going with them for drinks and food. Walking into the pub and heading to the back room where the bar is, it was hard not to reminisce of my time spent in Ireland. The restaurant has a vintage Irish pub decor and a friendly atmosphere. The perfect place to go spend time with family and friends. We sat at the bar and our bartender (Sandy) was absolutely fantastic! She was accommodating, humorous, and just made you feel like you were apart of her family. She made a really great Moscow Mule and a tasty version of a Long Island iced tea I've never had before. I hope to go again soon to try some more food varieties, but on this stop, I had the shepherds pie and was able to try some of the hummus and pita bread. Both I highly recommend and worth giving it a go. I look forward to my next visit! Stop on by and give Port city pub some love.

They have a pretty good sized menu with enough choices to suit most anyone. I had the fish and chips, the fish was fried crisp and was tender, mild and flaky. Our server was excellent, he checked back often to see if we needed anything or to make sure our food was good. There was live music that was starting as we got seated, the performer was very good. The restaurant seemed clean and it was big enough to be comfortable and not too big so it was sort of a cozy dining experience. I will definitely stop in again if I'm at the right place and the right time!!
