I would select zero stars if I could! my family and I have supported this family for years to arrive to pick up my order and I was tremendously disrespected and ignored and blatantly told by the owner son we serve our people first and your people last always (meaning Black people!) this establishment and the entire family are racist. I tried to speak with the owner who told me to my face he didn't care . They have based their main location in a primary black neighborhood and they do not care to serve people of color whatsoever. read more

Great food and service from the staff who takes the order. Their Chaat was excellent. I had the Samosa Chaat and we did not have anything like that before in Buffalo. The entree quantities are very good and it very tummy filling. I tried their falafel and they were not that bad. My colleague tried their Tandoori fish and it was amazing, the chicken and goat (bone in) curry were okay. It is a great take out place but for dine in it is not that ambient. Sometimes you get the garbage smell that kills your eating mood. If not for that, I would have given a 4.5 star. It is great for take out. It has some unique flavor/seasoning that I didn't really like the first time but once I tried it again I was hooked. 3 friends have tried it with me and 2 of them did not like it. -Brother really likes the tandoori chicken pieces Cons: -Most of the time I'll walk in and wait at the counter for a little while before someone will deal with you. I stopped for late night dinner. While entering in the tiny restaurant, I was impressed with the smell (which is missing in most Indian restaurant in North America). Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered goat curry and butter chicken masala meal. Goat Curry: the gravy was delicious but I hardly found any goat meat, only bones. Although rice quantity was good, but $10.86 for lot of goat bones and gravy is quite expensive. Butter Chicken: Again same thing as goat curry. Full of gravy, only few shredded chicken pieces. I saw other Yelpers also commented on that. They should improve the quantity of protein portions, especially considering $10.86 for a meal in a take out restaurant. I went there on the way back from a trip around 11 pm in the night. We had to wait around 5 minutes to order the food. I ordered trio meat over rice. The dish was delicious. It had beef, tandoori chicken strips and ground chicken(?) with some creamy sauce. All these meat were on top of yellow basmati rice. The size of the meal was huge, I couldn't finish it on one go and it took me 3 times to finish the dish. Kept seeing this place on the door dasher app. The ratings it gets were enough to convince me to finally try it. Really glad that I did! First bite of my food was heaven! My 13 year old son had a similar experience. Ordered the shrimp over rice. It's a nice portion of shrimp (3 kebabs x 5 shrimp = 15 in a small) and rice. The rice has goat cheese or something else delicious on it. For 9.99 there's enough here for me to eat twice. Have you ever eaten a meal and after the first bite you know it's one of the best thing's you've ever had in the area? That was what I felt after my first ever trip to Alibaba Kebab on Friday. Since I started working in the Larkin District I've tried a number of different places and although I've had some good food, nothing compares to the freshness and quality I got from my order here. I placed an order Friday morning through there website (which was super easy to use) and set my pickup time for 12:30PM. I ended up showing up a little early and they still got me in and out within 3 minutes. I decided to try the Tandoori Chicken Over Rice with a side of naan, which is honestly what I've been suggesting everyone at work tries as well. It came in a little Tupperware container packed to the brim and the naan (2pcs in 1 order) was wrapped in foil to stay hot. The Tandoori Chicken itself was some of the absolute tastiest, flavourful, and delicious chicken I've had (possibly in my entire life? who knows). The rice was delicious and even better since the sauces from the chicken were covering it, and the naan was warm, soft, and delicious as well. Alibaba Kebab is a fantastic spot for lunch, dinner, or to eat when you aren't even hungry. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone, 10+ stars from me! read more

So I ordered the Chicken Shawarma, French Fries, and Samosas and I had the the unfortunate luck of finding hair in my food and having to throw it out. I understand accidents happen, but the way this establishment handled my situation was enough to lose my business. On top of that the fries in my order were stale, but that wasn't even my complaint it was the hair in my food. When I called and told them about the hair in my food they advised me to return back to the store and they would replace my order. Being that it was so late in the night I did not want to commute that far, so I asked for a refund. The male that I spoke with said the manager Johnathan would give me a call back the next day, take my credit card information and process a refund. Two days went by and I received no call back, so I finally called the restaurant again and spoke with the manager and he said he can't refund me my money due to me placing my order on grub hub, but I can order something else. Granted I was not in the mood for middle eastern let alone making that commute, but I did so I wouldn't feel like I wasted money. I ordered the chicken tika masala and was told that would be ok. As long as I bring the chicken shawarma that I ordered two days ago with me it will be fine. So I dug up the chicken shawarma I threw in the trash and brought it to the restaurant (gross). When I get to the restaurant instead of them to apologize and acknowledge the inconvenience they caused me they told me I need to pay the price difference for my order. Nobody told me I had to pay for anything and I shouldn't have too because they are the ones that messed up and they refused to acknowledge that. This place lacks common hospitality and customer service and I will not be back. Hopefully you don't find hair in your food. read more

I saw this restaurant on the news and figured I'd go try it. I drove an hour to get to the place. The owners are very friendly. Never having tried Halal food before I found it to be just awesome! I chose the ready made Gyro over rice dish and the the Tandoori Chicken over rice. Seasoning was perfect. Actually both dishes were great. I was suprised when i went to the actual store for pick up one time as i was expecting more of a resturant vibe it's more like a fast food vibe but nonetheless food is good and def worth it . I wouldn't recommend any samosa but the potatoe one which honestly still tasted a bit weird ( i feel like it was sitting out tbh) but my go to for a meal is the chicken tikka masala which comes with rice and one naan . Excellent food overall! I've always ordered through skip the dishes, so I cannot comment on the restaurant itself. But the food is fantastic. Of particular note are their over rice boxes, which come with your choice of protein (or falafel) in sizable portions for the price. By far my favorite over rice box is the Tandoori Chicken. It's always perfectly cooked, well seasoned and pairs well with the rice. Their wraps are also great - the fresh naan bread goes a long way. By itself, their naan is fantastic - though be warned that the garlic naan is very garlicky. I'd say their falafel is quite good - though between Alibaba and House of Hummus, HoH has the better falafel. Their samosas, however, are to die for. All three styles of samosa are fantastic, they come piping hot and crispy. Overall, this is good food at a good price. I recommend it. read more

It's so easy to justify stopping by here to pick up the kebab platter for dinner when I'm feeling lazy which comes with a TON of meat and a huge naan. My husband and I were bored with pizza and subs and heard good things so we decided to give it a try. We found our new favorite take out place! We've ordered food twice and have not been disappointed! The portions are generous and the food is full of flavor. So far we've tried boti chicken kabobs, chicken shawarma, gyro wrap, chicken shawarma wrap, and all three of the samosas (beef, chicken, and potato). I don't know which item we liked best. They also give you two different white dipping sauces (one has a kick) with your samosa order - both are addicting. Next time we want to branch out and try the curry! The restaurant mainly does takeout and they don't have much seating inside. The menu looked good. We ordered the Biryani kebab family combo for 27$, which comes with a choice of Biryani and 2 choice of kebabs plus 2 salads. The salads are actually a waste, since nobody goes to have biryani but fill themselves with unseasoned lettuce. The kebabs we chose were chicken tikka (pretty good) and the bihari chicken (okay as the masala wasn't cooked well). The chicken Biryani by itself was pretty okay. So good! I was very surprised for the price and amount of food you get with each entree. My fiance got the garlic chicken wrap. It comes on a falafel wrapped with lettuce, tomato, and a creamy sauce. I got the chicken tikka masala (curry-based.) It was spiced so well. Chicken was cooked soft and tender. The rice was served in a huge container by itself. I had that meal three times before it was gone. We got an order of garlic naan too--delicious!! It was all delivered to my apartment through Skip the Dishes and it was still extremely hot and fresh when it arrived. The prices are good, the food delicious, and while I can't speak for how the store front is in-person, I can vouch for their quality! Actually more of a 3.5 I got the goat curry and it was pretty tasty. Served with choice of salad,rice, or naan. I went with the rice and it was good. The show stealer was the yogurt sauce that came on the side. The goat was super tender but the bones were rather large, which is fine. Perhaps just take it off the bone after it's braised Defiantly pretty authentic it's just a new spot so I think they just gotta grow into themselves. Decor is nice and location is prime. I got food to go from here once so far. I went inside and it was actually bigger inside than it looks from outside. The parking lot is alwAys packed. There's are always people coming and going when I drive by. So for me, it made the appeal even greater to try they're food, still I waited months upon months. So let me get to the point. The food was very tasty. The beef kaboob is what I ordered. It could have been a little less chewy for my taste. The outside was very tender and soft but the inside was tough. I didn't like that part. It's three kabobs skewers with onion and green peppers in between each chunk of meat. The meat chunks are a really a good size. It was $11.95 I think. I may be a few cent off. What I didn't like is that they're food is ala cart. No rice or bread or anything came with it. They don't have combo meals. They do have family meals that combine items to make it a meal. They start at $24.95 plus tax though. Do if u just want something quick to feed yourself this may not be the place. The food is made to order. Which is good if you have time to wait. They do have a cooler at the register with premade meals inside. Personally I wouldn't want that. They food was good overall.
