My coworkers and family chose this place for lunch after arriving in the city. We were seated right way on arrival and the staff was attentive and friendly. It might have helped that I had a cute toddler with me. We got the naan and hummus to start and ordered some lamb since we figured it was a specialty for a place like this. I was too crazy about the lamb shish kebab but my coworkers lamb donor choice was tasty and came with some delicious rice on the side. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying other items on the menu.

Hidden directly across from the Condado Marriot. Very good Turkish spot. Humus was excellent. Falafel wrap and the lamp shawarma also very good. Service was fast and attentive.

Found this place on Yelp and had to check it out. The place is quite charming with outdoor and indoor seating. There are Turkish lamps hanging from the ceiling that the owner brought over to PR 18 years ago. This was the first Middle Eastern restaurant in San Juan according to our server. We started with some strong Turkish coffee and a ginger martini. My partner is vegetarian, so we decided to try a variety of dishes on the menu. This place has a lot of vegetarian options. The tabbouleh was fresh and a solid pick. I like dolmas, but my partner can take them or leave them. These were pretty standard, and I enjoyed them. The spinach feta pide was amazing. Super well seasoned and baked to perfection. I enjoyed the lentil soup. The falafel plate was also tasty, and they had nice flavor. Bonus for the chili sauce they had here. Overall, this was probably a 4.7, but they don't let us rate like that. I would definitely come back.

Such huge portions. After landing in Puerto Rico a friend recommended this restaurant. Tucked a bit off the street go and find it! They have indoor and outdoor seating. A cool vibe and big portions of good food. I split a mixed platter with a friend and it was very filling. Samples of chicken, beef and lamb.

Really wonderful food. Servers are very friendly. Loved the Greek Salad and Chicken Kebabs. We will be back!

My all time FAV Turkish restaurant in Puerto Rico! Always consistent. The quality of food is incredible. Authentic. The dishes you shouldn't miss: hummus. Tzatziki, Greek salad, sigara, Lamb chops or kebab, mix ottoman casserole all AMAZING! Also don't forget the baklava. Friendly staff. Quick service. They have inside and outside sitting. They also have parking.

We chose all vegetarian options, including the falafel, which was very good. Not the best falafel ever, compared to falafel in Israel, but very good. And the appetizers included the feta tomato & parsley salad, and the eggplant stew. They both were good, but the eggplant stew was outstanding. Served with the Turkish bread, which is tasty, puffed, sprinkled with sesame seeds and beautiful. A great place if you want tasty food and also to eat within a Mediterranean diet.

Found this little restaurant as we walked along Ashford St, and figured we'd give it a try. They had a pretty nice Mediterranean menu at reasonable prices. We opted for the hummus appetizer, which came with the biggest, most delicious homemade naan bread I've had anywhere! We also opted to split a Greek salad, and some chicken shish-kebobs. Everything was great tasting!

I finally got to try Ali Baba. The restaurant is located at 1214 Ashford Avenue, steps from the nearby Marriott hotel. They offer inside and outside seating. Servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. The menu has a lot of things you don't find often in a restaurant in Puerto Rico. The hummus is great, especially with their Lavash. Don't be surprised if you crave more Lavash, but be careful because it will be freshly baked and very hot. I highly recommend the Lamacun (Turkish Pizza) and the Backlava for dessert. Will return.

    Greek salad w/ grilled chicken

Very delicious, well prepared food. Small portions. Expensive. I've eaten here several times over the last two years and the food is always delicious. BUT, don't come here if you're excessively hungry. The portions are somewhat small. The $10 hummus is basically served on a coffee cup saucer sized plate. If you both want some, get two. I often get the Greek salad. It's delicious. But even the large size is more of a lunch sized portion. The salad itself is $15 and to add grilled chicken it's another $12. As you can see from the pic it's not even a full chicken breast. That equates to about $1 per bite of chicken. My little hummus and salad plus an iced tea ran me $50. Kinda pricey. But the taste is definitely there. The hummus is smooth and creamy, full of flavor. The pita bread they give you with it is quite good. I've had the kabob wraps as well. They're delicious but also small. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious LIGHT lunch. If you're super hungry though I'd recommend Tayzan across the street. Their Chinese and sushi is amazing and you won't leave feeling hungry at all.

Limited parking spaces in front and no street parking. It seems like a chill spot to have a meal or just enjoy some tea. We started off with some baba Gus push and falafels. I love falafels and these didn't disappoint. Satisfaction in every bite. The baba ghanoush was also superb. I can only imagine the hummus must be off the chain too. The pita bread was warm and delicious. For main course I was between the sharearma plate or the kofta plate. I went with the beef kofta. It came with rice and salad. The sides were really good but the kofta was a bit dry. I thought it was well seasoned, though. Next time I'll try the shawarma. They also have shawarma sandwiches and falafel sandwiches. My wife got the lamb shush kebab plate and loved it. The meat was tender and juicy and well seasoned. The baklava was disappointing. Overall, the meal was very good. It did take a while to arrive and we were the only ones in the restaurant. In their defense, the food is fresh and prepared to order so that can take some time to make. Our server was friendly. I would recommend checking this place out and giving it a try.

Despite the pleasant appearance at first glance, the consistently overcooked, over salted, poor service and unprofessional, confrontational, customer is never correct attitude makes Nazareth the winner of my 2014 worse or the worst restaurants in Puerto Rico. The 4oz dry Salmon, 5oz over-well crispy Churrasco steak and salty hard Curry chicken (although the curry based sauce had a nice spice mixture, less half the salt) are consistently inedible unless you like super overcooked fish and meat. The only dish not overcook is the lamb which they most likely buy pre-cooked and seasoned as you would buy in Costco. What makes Nazareth and our experience the worst in reviewing thousands of restaurants world-wide is the complete extreme lack of customer satisfaction, customer service and the combative, in denial unprofessional communication from this family run business from the manager (son), owner (mother) and co-owner "cook" (father). Our food was ordered from an under trained, overly lost waiter unable to manage one table let alone the entire restaurant. The food arrived, as consistent, way over cooked. The steak was, beyond well done crispy dark. The curry chicken was dry and super salty as was the salmon in a previous occasion. We at first politely requested the waiter to return the food to the kitchen for an edible version as requested. He refused and escalated our request to the owners while dishonestly claiming the meat temperature was never requested. The management and owners came to our table, to include even the co-owner "cook" to claim that we never specified how we wanted our meat cooked and literally said, and I quote "if you don't like how the food is cooked, then pay now, get out and do not come back....we do not need any more customers" As we attempted to explore solution options, the owners went on to unprofessionally and loudly proclaim that any change would require us paying for additional meals. In other words, the Customer must pay for the errors of the waiter and cook because ("no puedo recuperar nuestro costo") they could not recuperate their cost. What do we learn day one in any business school, MBA program or corporate job: Our customers are priority number 1. Any successful, enduring business must have a clear strategy, defined, measurable and attainable goals with a clear priority towards a quality product and excellent customer oriented service. Those businesses, especially restaurants, who consistently do not value and fail their customers are eventually doomed to a fate of failure. In summary, Nazareth's fate is eventual failure for their lack of understanding of these basic principals and consistently poor execution.
