I would say this is more of a 3.5 stars. The food was very good, but the ambiance was dull.
The appetizers were flawless. We got the baba ghanoush and the falafels. This was probably the best baba ghanoush I've ever had. Years from now, I will still remember it. The falafels were also excellent. and the tahini dipping sauce was divine. I also loved the lamb shish kebab plate. The lamb was cooked to perfection, nice and tender. My husband's beef kofta was a bit dry though. The plates come with rice and salad. Both were good. The didn't have a kid's menu. but they do serve hamburgers with fries. My son liked the burger. It was good.
Now for the misses. The dessert was a big letdown. We ordered the baklava and something called harisa. The harisa is made of farina. Either both were stale or they just weren't very good. As for the vibe of the place, it was too quiet. Too loud is a common complaint, but too quiet can also be an issue. Maybe it was because it was a very slow night. When we arrived the place was empty. We weren't even sure they were open. There was no music in the background. It could have been in arabic, it didn't matter. Just something to create a nice ambiance. It was too quiet and boring. Maybe on busier days it is different?
I would return because the food is delicious, especially the baba ghanoush. They have lunch specials too. read more
