Everything is great! Love the decorations and ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great.

The hummus with beef was super good. I also liked the Sultán. It was basically a sampler plate, a good option when you can't decide what to get. The decor was nice. They have a belly dancing show on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8:30pm. It was nice.

I hadn't been here in a very long time. The place is exactly the same as I remember. Same interior design. Food wise, I've always liked the hummus and baba ghanoush. We ordered the hummus with beef and it didn't disappoint. Our son loves hummus and enjoyed it. I made the mistake of ordering the curried chicken. It was weak, too watered down. Oh well. Service was polite, but very slow. The belly dancing show was entertaining. They do it every Friday and Saturday night.

Nunca pudiera imaginar comer esta comida aqui en Puerto Rico. Tampoco espere disfrutarlo tanto. Tanta variación de platos típicos que nunca supe de. Un sitio para invitar sus familias y amigos.

Cairo: Comida Arabe - is a respite oasis among the chaos of San Juan. As soon as you enter, you are greeted as though you are family, even if only a distant cousin. The restaurant has three separate dining areas, with an overall Egyptian-pyramid-mummy decorated vibe. We were seated in the wine dining room which easily accommodated our party of 8. We started with a round of refreshing and well balanced passion fruit margaritas and followed it with the appetizer combo platter to share. The babaganoosh, hummus, and falafel were the stand outs. Fresh and zesty. While the majority of my party ordered the lamb chops which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection (of course i had a taste), I steered towards the grilled chicken breast in a cilantro almond spice marinade. A unique dish I had not tried and one in which I was thoroughly satisfied with. The chicken breast was juicy and the marinade gave it an aroma reminiscent of walking through the souks in the Middle East. All main entrees come with a side of rice with almonds and a cucumber tomato salad. You can tell that the recipes are authentic and that the chef /cooking staff cook with passion. The dining room staff was friendly and attentive. Since we were there in a Friday nite, there was a belly dancer show-the first part was more traditional, the second part involved a multi-colorful cape with shiny lights. Quite entertaining and enjoyable. Covid compliant and sensitive. Overall, a spectacular dining experience all around.

Do not recommend. Place is pretty expensive for what you get. I had the falafel plate - The hummus was tasty, the salad didn't even have feta cheese, the falafels were ok. My husband had the chicken skewers with what was supposed to be basmati rice - it's not anything but your typical cheap white rice with a ton of garlic pieces on it. He got about 6 small chicken nuggets and the plate cost nearly $20. Decor is very nice! Definitely explains why the prices are so high. From the outside, the place looks promising. But the food is lacking.

We went here the other evening after bowling at the AMF bowling center. It did not disappoint! The place is very well decorated, staff friendly and the food was delicious! Even my daughter liked the chicken! Definitely save room for dessert as there dessert tray is to die for!

Fantastic food and service. Loved every second of being there--- the decor is also unique and pleasant. We ordered a few appetizers, all amazing. Shared a main dish since my friends family (who are local - Mauricio and Martha) told us the servings were big. Food was absolutely amazing, I would return in a heartbeat, in fact, will do so, next time I visit PR.

Lamb and Hummus! It was exquisite.

Excellent food and service. I had the hummus and lamb, which came out in a timely manner. The server was attentive. I recommend this to anyone who looking to satisfy their Lebanese cravings in Puerto Rico.

Limited parking spaces in front and no street parking. It seems like a chill spot to have a meal or just enjoy some tea. We started off with some baba Gus push and falafels. I love falafels and these didn't disappoint. Satisfaction in every bite. The baba ghanoush was also superb. I can only imagine the hummus must be off the chain too. The pita bread was warm and delicious. For main course I was between the sharearma plate or the kofta plate. I went with the beef kofta. It came with rice and salad. The sides were really good but the kofta was a bit dry. I thought it was well seasoned, though. Next time I'll try the shawarma. They also have shawarma sandwiches and falafel sandwiches. My wife got the lamb shush kebab plate and loved it. The meat was tender and juicy and well seasoned. The baklava was disappointing. Overall, the meal was very good. It did take a while to arrive and we were the only ones in the restaurant. In their defense, the food is fresh and prepared to order so that can take some time to make. Our server was friendly. I would recommend checking this place out and giving it a try.

My brother and I tried dishes from both menus, and found it to be quite good. As we were walking past, a small sign for 'Grandma's Kitchen' caught our eye. My brother had been encouraging me to try Puerto Rico's national dish: Mofongo - mashed fried plantains. Unfortunately, restaurants were just packed with long waits and I wasn't in the mood to wait outside in the sun for a long time. The door next to the sign stated that it was a restaurant called 'Istanbul'. We peaked inside, and was welcomed warmly by a host, who let us know that the restaurant was both Grandma's Kitchen/Istanbul. There was nobody else dining inside, which was weird considering how every other restaurant in the area was packed. The dishes are made to order, so took a bit of time for it to come out one at a time. Mixed Seafood Stuffed Mofongo ($25) - served in a wooden pilon, the tall and narrow neck was stuffed with the mashed plantains, topped with a seafood blend of clams, dense fish pieces, octopus, and squid. The sauce was really well done, not too rich, but buttery enough to accentuate the seafood. I have to believe the seafood was prepared from frozen, but it tasted really good: a definite notch up from the seafood I've been having on the cruise boats. It was the first time having mofongo, and I liked it. This version had fried plantain chips, mixed with the mash of more plantains. I don't think this version had pork skin rinds, and I didn't miss it. It's extremely dense, so ended up eating maybe a third of it while finishing the seafood. It's a solid alternative to rice, though definitely can't eat too much of it. Doner Kebab ($18) - from the Istanbul portion of the menu, this dish was tasty, though the meat was cooked on a flat top grill like a burger patty, instead of on a vertical rotisserie. The lamb/beef patty was loosely formed and well seasoned, with the accompanying tzatziki sauce being a good add-on. Both dishes were cooked very well, the back kitchen has some skills. Service was friendly throughout. Water is not offered, but guessing they will give to you if asked. Payment was provided after the meal, and they do stick on a mandatory 15% gratuity for all party sizes.

She stayed with him while I got the food. When I arrived at the truck there was a short line. I skipped it to go to another truck (El Cherry) which had no line to get a sandwich and fries for our kid. When I returned the line had died quickly. I ordered the falafel rice combo. It came with 4 falafels, pita, choice of rice: arroz shariah, basmati Al curry, basmati con almendras; choice of salad: taboulwh or cranberry; choice of sauce; and baklava or jiñara for dessert. I went with basmati con almendras, tabouleh, tahini, and baklava. I added a fresh kiwi juice. It came to $18. There was enough for two people. My wife and I devoured it in the car. Everything was delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. The kiwi juice was resfreshing. They also have strawberry, mango, and iced tea. They gave me a sample of each... all good.
