We were in Puerto Rico for my friends birthday and we saw this restaurant on tik tok so we wanted to try it.. keep in mind we're coming from Las Vegas. The drinks were $26 each, which is EXTREMELY overpriced for what it is. The drinks on the Las Vegas strip are $20-21.. we did a family style dinner with everyone at the table. The chef did send out some complimentary spinach cracker featured in one of the pictures. For appetizers we ordered calamari & pita bread that comes with 3 sauces which is hummus, taziki & a cucumber honey one. They were good. For dinner we ordered the 26oz steak (6/10) I believe, patatas bravas (4/10) carrots (7/10) and a pasta (4/10) I forgot what it was called. They offered us deserts and I told the server that we were there for my birthday and if they had a mini birthday desert and he basically said no if we don't purchase one. Which again, is pretty insane coming from fine dining restaurants in Las Vegas that do a little complimentary desert & we paid over $500 for dinner. Their system also went down when we asked for the check And he said we could pay cash if we wanted to leave so we sat there for an hour after dinner was over waiting for our bill. I'm torn about my experience at Levant. It's a beautiful restaurant with great attention to detail. It was the perfect aesthetic for my 30th birthday dinner. However, it lacked in several areas. Service was extremely slow and seemed to be that way for everyone. It also took over an hour to receive our entrees and there was no apology. People around us also were at their tables for hours. Also it seems like they only enforce dress code for certain people, which is unfair. If you're good to have a strict dress code it should be the same for everyone. For the most part the food was really good. We started with the mezzo for the table and chose hummus, tzatziki, and tirokafteri. The tirokafteri was delicious! The whole table enjoyed it. However, the pita it came with was a little tough. We also ordered the fritto misto, which was perfectly cooked. The shrimp and calamari were tender. For my entree I ordered the lobster risotto, which was okay. I would have appreciated some Parmesan or something to elevate it. Located inside the La concha hotel this was a culinary experience for sure. Very attentive and friendly staff,the food leans towards Mediterranean flavors. Fritto misto with shrimp,calamari and zucchini with lemon aioli was fried perfectly. Branzino for two was delicious with some of the best Brussel sprouts I've ever eaten and white corn polenta was on point. Trio of gelato's for dessert ended the perfect evening. We went here tonight for the second night in a row. My husband just turned 50 and I put that in the notes to put the reservation. This restaurant is inside the La Concha hotel. You must make reservations and they have a pretty strict dress code so just make sure you please look that up before you go. If you're at the hotel and you didn't make reservations, no need to worry because they do have a bar in there that you do not need reservations for and you could order food from the bar area. We went here last night and we got the Bronzino for two and I came with two sides. We picked carrots and polenta probably the best carrots I've ever had in my entire life, and the polenta was delicious as well. I never had a whole Bronzino, so it was a bit nervous and excited at the same time, but there has served with no bones and no head. It was seasoned perfectly and delicious. Yesterday when we were replacing our dinner order, we were informed that we needed to order our desserts at the same time that we ordered our dinner because each is prepared separately by the chef and they needed time to do it. We opted for no dessert, but when they brought our check, they brought two little small cookie type items, two small, gummy's and a little disc of chocolate complementary Today we went and we got perfect seats and all three of the tables that were up against this window had a happy birthday index card type of a sign on the table. Tonight we ordered the cod, my husband ordered the swordfish and then we opted to get the fusilini with octopus pasta. The cod was good. It was over a bean type of a paste and it was a little boring the prosciutto they put on top along with the Swiss shard gave it a little bit more flavor. My husband's swordfish came with clams and mussels and potatoes that were small and perfectly round. The muscles in the clams were small as well, but his dish was delicious. The fusilini pasta with bone marrow and octopus was by far the star of the show. It was amazing with flavors and delicious. When you order one of the meals that are for two people which is a Bronzino and a steak those come with two sides however, if you order anything else off the menu, it does not include any sides and there should be an additional cost Because we each have a dish plus we shared the pasta. We had no room for any dessert after and no room for after dinner drinks as well. I'm not sure why we were not giving any complementary desserts like we were last night, especially since they knew it was my husband's birthday There appears to be a consistency issue. We celebrated our engagement dinner at Levant and it truly blew away our expectations. Not only was the restaurant itself beautiful, but the service was amazing as well. We got greeted by the hostess who acknowledged we were there celebrating a special occasion and was super sweet with her kind words. We got seated and our servers Angel and Carla were very attentive and knowledgeable of menu choices. We also had a card congratulating us at our table upon being seated. We started the night off with the mezze for the table, which is the option of choosing three dipping spreads that are served with warm sourdough pita bread. Highly recommend this option as all three choices we chose were absolutely delicious. I had the lobster risotto as my entree that had fresh lobster from Maine. My fiancé had the beef ravioli. This was our first dinner during our weekend in PR and what a way to kickstart our trip. Beautiful, clean decoration. Excellent professional staff. And the food is just outstanding. From the amuse-bouche to dessert there was not one bite we weren't impressed with. We each started with cocktail while we enjoyed some appetizers. All were great but must recommend the octopus. For dinner we each got a different plate of pasta, and one had the risotto, all were freshly made and flavorful. The risotto was my favorite. We came here to sit at the bar for drinks as a couple on a Friday night. My fiance was wearing a polo shirt with pants and I was wearing a formal long dress with wedge heels. We were denied entry because my wedge heel is technically an open toe shoe. The hostess was generally unfriendly as well. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. Words cannot describe how amazing the view is. I recommend going just before Sunset. We had a 5:15pm reservation which was on November 20. I don't think we could've picked a more perfect time. I know it's a little early to eat, but trust me, the view as the sun sets is just spectacular. I don't think we could have timed it anymore perfectly. It also was not busy and gave us the perfect time to get photos before a bunch of people were there. We went on a Thursday evening and by the time we were finished around 7:15 the restaurant was full. So definitely make a reservation in advance. The servers were amazing. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable and very attentive. Service was quick and all of the food was spectacular. I know I keep saying spectacular. But I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. The price tag is worth it. The fritto misto was a perfect appetizer to split. Salty and crispy. We also split the Fatteh to start. For entrées, we split the lobster risotto and the Cappellacci di Zucca. My friend was a fan of the lobster risotto, but I was in favor of the latter. I just love a fall flavored pasta. Throw some squash and sage in there? You got me!!! For dessert I had the Galaktoboureko. Don't ask me how to pronounce that lol but it was just as amazing as anything else. Located inside the iconic Perla, a signature seashell-shaped floating venue in La Concha hotel, chef Michael White creates a distinctive dinning experience like no other. The server asked for our feedback about the dish so we told him and out of nowhere he came back with the Bluefin Tuna crudo that was outstanding. We think it was a very thoughtful gesture. APPETIZER: Fatteh, the surprise of the night! I don't even like eggplant but that salad was INCREDIBLE!! MUST order. PASTA: Truffle Gemelli, it was a special dish outside the menu. Possibly one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten in my life, no exaggeration. The butter used in the dish was imported from the chefs home state. They are hard to get a hold of on the phone because you have to go through the hotel to get to them. This is located in a hotel by chef Michael white I've made a video about the whole place on my tik tok. This is a Mediterranean style restaurant. They do change the menu constantly. Very upscale, the risotto was to die for the lobster pieces were thick and juicy, and they did not skim down on it The potatoes were of course amazing they were roasted, and you could just taste the garlic and the crunch. We had about three desserts. I'm not sure which ones we got. One was a free birthday one. But they had six or seven options for desserts. They would not hold your table for 10 minutes past your reserved time but if you arrive at your time they make you wait for 15-20 minutes. Once I place my order of grilled octopus and octopus fusilli, the server came back to tell me that they out of octopus. WHAT????, on a Friday at 9:00 pm you are out of octopus??? WOW!!!. Bro, go across the street there is supermarket and buy one... I ended with a tortellini pasta with truffles that cost $38.00 in which it was average, nothing special. My wife ordered a whole grilled Caribbean lobster. For my surprise it was half of a lobster. They advertised a whole lobster and charge me a whole lobster but I never saw the other half of the tail. Now, service. It was mediocre, we ordered drinks that never make it to the table. Appetizers served without plates, never came for refills of water, in fact servers were contaminated with that disease called "Hanging out at the POS" constantly calculating their tips. Overall, this place is to enjoy the ambience not the food nor service and do not came here looking to experience a Michelin star event. read more

Ruined my 30th birthday. Embarrassing, dismissive, and careless. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my 30th birthday, noted it on the reservation, and personally told both the host and our server when we arrived. Somehow, that information vanished into thin air. We were seated at a completely bare table while multiple tables around us had "Happy Birthday" and "Happy Anniversary" cards waiting for them. It was impossible not to notice. After pointing this out to our server and politely asking if we could also receive a birthday card, we were told, "Of course!" It never came. What did come instead was watching a couple seated after us receive the full treatment--acknowledgment, attention, and a birthday dessert--while my milestone birthday was completely ignored. No card. No dessert. No acknowledgment. Nothing. To make matters worse, we were incorrectly charged for an extra bottle of wine we never received. We were never shown an empty bottle, never told a new one was opened, and for all we know, we still had wine left. By this point, the experience had become so upsetting that we just wanted to leave rather than argue further on what was supposed to be a celebratory night. I did attempt to address these concerns with a manager. Unfortunately, that conversation was just as disappointing. He was dismissive, did not listen to what I was actually upset about, quietly removed the wine charge, and then went about his night. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconsistent treatment, and no effort to understand why this experience was so upsetting. This wasn't just an "oversight"--it was careless, inconsistent service from start to finish, capped off by management that clearly did not care. If you're going to make a show of celebrating guests, do it equally--or don't do it at all. I'll never get my 30th birthday dinner back, but I can make sure others know what to expect. read more

The hostess then brings up that we requested a window table in our reservation, as we were celebrating a special occasion. She then advised that she could not seat our party of 3 at a window table because those had 4 seats. She advised they would "lose a chair" if we sat at a window table for 4 and she could not accommodate our request because she had "other reservations" for the window seats. Mind you, I also had a reservation who requested a window seat to celebrate a special occasion. The whole situation was strange at best, I've never heard of such a thing in all of my years in fine dining (which this was not). We were seated in a table in the back of an empty restaurant. Lovely. We were at the restaurant until 8pm. As expected, 2 window tables were never filled during our extended dinner. Multiple window tables with 3 people instead of 4. Children present in the dining room window tables in sports jerseys. If you can look past this when celebrating a special occasion, then eat here and order pasta and the hummus. The other dips left plenty to be desired. The tzatziki was absolutely terrible. The unrefined hostess really soured a special dinner before it began, and the food left a lot to be desired. As someone who lived in NYC and San Francisco, this restaurant is right up there with a Michelin star restaurant. From the cocktails to the last bite, it was amazing. Snobby. Conveniently message you just under 24 hours before your reservation to "remind" you of their strict dress policy and then don't respond when you message back. As a reminder, if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation they charge $25/person. Tried calling all next morning, the hotel claims to patch you through to their concierge who never picks up. Had to take time out of our day to walk over to be told "dress shorts would be a problem and won't be accepted", and they could not confirm whether or not we'd be charged for the cancellation despite numerous efforts to reach out read more

Couple things: 1. We missed our initial reservation because of a flight delay, so we came to the restaurant and asked for availability at the bar. Our hostess Destiny scoffed (in front of us) and whispered to her other host. We were like , oh, what a way to start the night but after a dismissive interaction we got seated. (Four young women, early 20s) 2. Our server seated us and asked sparking or still, and upon saying still he quickly walked away (before we could ask for tap-- which may not be an option here? Not sure). For the next hour the most prompt service was how quickly our water was topped up, and by the end of the night we opened the bill and realized we were charged $30 for three whole 1L bottles of water. 3. My friend Sophia ordered a $70 ribeye and she asked for rare. The meat came an absolutely medium rare - no blood, just pink and disappointment. 4. I was recommended the scallops - the special of the day. I was like, sure, let's do it. It was (1) scallop ($28), thinly sliced with a drizzle of ikura and oil. If you have eaten scallop before, you know that the two things to look for is taste and texture. The scallop melted in my mouth, but left behind a mildly pungent, slimy and bitter aftertaste. I looked out to the dark waters by the window and shed a fishy tear. We passed around the five slices of scallop to confirm our jurisdiction (yes, it was bitter and fishy), and then didn't finish the dish. Awesome experience for me at Levant; there aren't too many higher end Mediterranean restaurants in PR. It's seafood focused but still has all of the regular stuff (steak/chicken) that others would like. We didn't have a bad dish and we had a mix of apps (lobster burrata), pasta, and mains (steak/swordfish). It's pricey and 1 of the higher end places you can get in PR. Expect to spend about $200 a person if you have any drinks. But excellent food and experience for me, would definitely come back. read more

This was an out of body experience. Not only is the interior stunning and elevated but the service bartender and wait staff were extremely pleasant. My husband and I ordered the old fashioned and a martini and they were the best we've had! There were so many amazing food options to choose from, I had a hard time deciding I could've had one of everything, but we ended up ordering the filet and pesca del dia. I thought with this being fine dining if they were out of something guests should be informed in advance. The food was a hit or miss. I had the chicken which was cooked to perfection but to salty as in drink lots of water. Someone else had the pasta and clams and then another pasta dish they stated their dishes were just ok. In fact it was so bad that I emailed the GM at the restaurant to make him aware. I asked for nothing but wanted to make him aware that something wasn't right with my dish. Rather than apologizing and providing solutions on what steps he would take to ensure this didn't happen again he was dismissive and patronizing. I was shocked considering this is a Michael White restaurant and I have always had A* service and food. The servers were all lovely but I would steer clear of the food unless you want a good 24 hours of being sick and out of commission. Such a shame. read more
